The Seas of Lights

Salam to you all! 
 

Al Allama al Majlisi (رحمه الله) was the author of a book called Bihar al Anwar al-jāmiʿat li-durar ʾakhbār al-ʾAʾimmat al-ʾAṫhār, it translates to  Seas of lights: the collection of pearls of the reports of the pure Imams. 
 

This book contains every single Hadith that every Shia scholar wrote, it also has a few Sunni Hadiths.
Some people mistake into thinking that it is to us like Sahih al Bukhari is to the Sunnis, but no. I, personally, don’t accept it as Hujjah upon us, unless they quote the original Hadith from the original book with its original chain.

It is truly a Sea of Lights. al Majlisi didn’t intend to write it as a all Sahih book. He wanted to make sure that some of the more forgotten and Small books don’t get lost. 
 

Al Khomeini (رحمه الله) says that it was about ‘400 books’ in it. That is most likely true considering the fact that the book is 110 Volumes. The book has more then 100,000 Hadith which is something I have never seen before in another book. 
 

It is a book with many things that can change how you feel about Ahlulbayt (عليهم السلام) (in a good way). I suggest everyone should read it, just don’t believe everything it says without making sure it’s Sahih.
