    • isn't it a bit hypocritical of Iran to be criticising the USA in the midst of the BLM protests while they themselves are violating human rights by allegedly killing Afghans? 1. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-afghanistan-iran-migrants-exclusive/exclusive-afghan-lawmakers-say-45-migrants-drowned-after-iranian-guards-forced-them-into-river-idUSKBN22J26U 2. https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2020/05/iran-forces-accused-drowning-afghans-pandemic-200503144241565.html 3. https://www.rferl.org/a/iranian-border-guards-accused-of-torturing-drowning-afghan-migrants/30595702.html 4. https://www.avatoday.net/node/10210
    • You follow only one because they differ on jurisprudential issues, you can look up the rulings of different one when you seek a ruling that you have no answer to, but it’s allowed only in limited cases. How are you following Ayatollah Sistani and Sayyid Khamenei at the same time, when their opinions on things contradict each other?
    • Assalamu Alaikum, InshAllah all is well. I have a question regarding taaqibaat, there are so many recommended tasbihaat, duas to make after each salat, general and specific, regarding each salat having their own taaqibaat. Is it best to some of them, if so which ones do I do, which ones do I leave out. If anyone is working and does these taaqibaat, does it take long for you to complete them. Is it better to do just all of them. I need some insight on this. JazakumAllah. Thank You!
    • That's literally what everyone learns on Day 1 in school. Why are you debating this topic when you don't know the basics? The 20th century settled this question already. There's not much more to discuss. Sorry you're late to the party.

@Al-Hassan @Dreamcatcher @everyone Salam,  Slightly related to the above topic: What are the rulings on things like: - option trading (call/puts) - short selling - day trading Any help is appreciated (and the above post is also greatly appreciated, thank you)
    • Many are conservative on social issues, but without the excess alarmism and paranoia. That leads into Shapiro territory.  "Moderate" is a useless term unless the spectrum is defined. All economies are "mixed", and always have been. There's been no pure system of anything. Individual perception of work has little bearing on overall macroeconomics. Also, some of the most important jobs of human value yield scant economic "benefit", while useless jobs like hedge fund managers make millions.  I didn't say you were a complete mirror of them. Only in some sentiments.  Also, some populist members of the right may agree with your statement as an argument against crony capitalism, which they see as corrupting their pure market beliefs.
    • @Syed Ali Mehdi Shah Naqvi You fail to prove that calling someone an Imam implies bid'ah and attributing infallibility.
    • I didn't know that brother. Even i don't know anything. We are all learning. Point is, every book needs a teacher. This is the reason Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said: "I leave among you two weighty things, if you hold fast to them, you'll never go Astray, The Book of Allah and My itrat Ahlebait. They will never seperate from each other till they meet me at The Fountain"  So whoever will seperate them, he will go astray. Quran says offer salat, how will you offer if you don't refer back to ahlebait (عليه السلام).? Now if you say we can also refer back to others to know about salat, then its just like asking teacher of English literature about persian literature. I think this is what brother tried to say. May Allah guide us to the straight path.
