7 Safar is Imam Hassan (as) Martyrdom Anniversary and Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (as) Birth Anniversary but the birth anniversary is not celebrated...we just talk about the life of the imam and read ziyarahs.

As Br. Al Mujtabah has said, the Asians commemorate Al Hasan's death on 28th Safar, where as the Arabs and Khojas do so on the 7th of Safar.

Additionally, the Khojas celebrate Imam Al Khadim's birth on the 7th of Rajab (the &th Imam, 7th day, 7th month).

Sister I dont know whether there are difference in khojas also or not but me being khoji(hehe) know that we commemorate Imam Hasan (as) death on 28th safar.

"Asian and Khojas" can I please know the difference, Sister I m

Additionally, the Khojas celebrate Imam Al Khadim's birth on the 7th of Rajab

Again its different coz we celeberate Hazarat Abbas Alamdar (as) birth.

Now really I m getting confused that are there differnce in khojas living in different parts of the world.Plz If u can clear this. Are you a khoji Sister Widad?Sorry if it was not to ask.

Sister Fatimaa, the important thing to know is there are two narrations, one is 7 Safar and one is 28 Safar...The best thing is to commemorate both :D just like Sayeda Zahra (as) Martyrdom Anniversary, we comemorate three events after 45 days from the martyrdom of the prophet, after 70 and after 90 (I believe but not sure of the 90 days).

So why don't we commemorate and remember Ahlulbayt (as) the more we remember and commemorate their majalis, the more we learn, hte more we are rewarded, the more our faith grows stronger, etc.
