Nashukuru sana Princess Sayyeda, ingapo kusema ukweli kiswahili changu kimekua dhaifu sana.

I always loved Swahili even whilst being at Primary School which was a bit out of the norm for a typical Khoja but anyways. Sister sayyeda786, the part in bold reads; but as for the question on 100%, perhaps there may be a difference of opinion. Ishkaal is also used in Arabic and unfortunately, many of the Arabic words are no longer used in colloquial Swahili.

All Swahili speakers should listen to Sheikh Abdullahi Nasser who lives in Mombasa. He is a highly knowledgeable Aalim, although he doesn't wear an Amama, and doesn't get the respect he deserves for the most part by Khojas. Another reason why you should listen to him is because he is a pioneer in the revival of traditional Swahili, all you have to do is listen to a lecture of his.

Wasalaam.

The Nairobi slang is excellent, prefer it over the Mombasa one. You can't beat a Tanzanian in an argument over swahili so I raise my hands to you Br. s4ever lol. Your last two sentences honestly reminded me of home, lol

I won't even think of typing in Katchi thank you very much. On a serious note though, its important that we keep our culture and for us albeit being Khojas, I think Swahili comes into the equation somewhat. Its particularly beneficial for those who want to learn Arabic. Trust me, if you know good Swahili you can walk into an Arabic lecture right now and understand at least 15% of what is being said and it'll take you half the time it takes to learn the language.

Aww jarak try kardos Katchi bolele. To aakhir me chono wo ke ayy mare dua me yaad karo panke ne Insha'Allah biyo wakhat sundi, KhudaHafiz.

Bwana s4ever wote hatujambo hapa. Nishawetembelea huko kwenu Kanada mbeleni, huko baridi inawamaliza, hapa lakini mvua haisimami, mfululiko sheikhe! Nasoma katika chuo kikuu (university) nasomea hisabu. InshaAllah utatuzuru hapa UK karibuni.

Thanks for the correction Sr. Sayyeda, my Katchi is useless, as most of you would by now have deciphered.

Jee, majaama chu Sr greeneyes786, I am not a gujurati speaker understand it though, so I will leave it in the very safe hands of the rest, but welcome.

Sr habib e najjaar, hatujambo wote Alhamdulillah.

Ehh, kila napokuja Swahili naiona juu kabisa. Ndiyo hivo basi muendelee, NA HIYO NI MAENDELEO ama vile wanasema siku hizi; mambo pudding technology juu kwa juu! :D

Wasalaam.

ps. Sr. sayyeda786 would you know of the radio frequency for the channel on which Shk. Abdullahi comes on and if its a regular thing or just a one off? Thanks in advance.
