The phenomenon is being perceived backwards. Rather it is so that singers, dancers and pros become wanabe Shia. The reason is very human and thus not perfectly logical. Being misguided and unchanging like 95% of the people on this planet who won't give up a bad habit or a sinful profession, they, again like 95% of the people on this planet, at some point in their lives start to think of the afterlife and salvation and realize that its inevitable and real. Then without giving up or changing themselves first they find hope of receiving mercy and salvation through intercession of the ma'soomeen (as) and that leads them a few of the ways of the Shia. They simply don't foresee a chance of salvation in other sects which are rather too bland, entirely uncomplicated and savagely merciless (perhaps they also see Yazid and all the other Arab tyrants in them as well). Some of the current ones may be the later generations who underwent this.

Another phenomenon is that of business concern. Even non-Shia singers (like Sikhs or Sunnis) will seek employment in majalis, birth/death anniversaries ("urs"), and similar functions where vocalists are needed. They do it for money, obviously. Even a few Sunni mullahs will be readily available to be employed as the "molvi"/scholar who does Shia majalis, as its a simple affair (read fazayel at start and the masa'ib in end, and always always come up with newest stuff never heard before to make a fan base!). Some of these might pose as or become wanabe Shia.

What else could it be? That being Shia makes people want to sing, dance, etc.? :D

I dont know about all the cited names, but several of them are of Shia origin for sure. Not speaking for all of them, but it is commonly believed that quite a few hail from certain notorious areas, whose denizens are descendants of Lukhnavi courtesans, many of whom were in fact Shia. Many, if not most of the girls there, in Lukhnow and similar places, were kidnap victims. They must've been from different backgrounds, but being brought up in a Shia environment, they must've likely adopted the faith, or the practices, at least, and so the numbers of Shii in such professions increased.

One reason can be they wan't easy money but do not wan't to interact much like being together with the opposite gender. We should sometimes try to think in a positive manner about our community people.

In other non muslim countries, you may find more non muslim singers. It is just that may be because Pakistan is a muslim majority country.

They should try to switch to halal singing like singing naat, hamd, qawwali and can recite marsiyas, nohay, etc. All are welcome towards the life that Allah desired for them.
