[Shakir 2:152] Therefore remember Me, I will remember you, and be thankful to Me, and do not be ungrateful to Me.

Assalam alaykum,

In Surat Qaaf (the letter "Qaaf"):

(bismillah)

[Shakir 50:16] And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein.

[bani-Israel: 44]

Sis Iman, how do I get the Arabic script up here? I've got Urdu s/w and once I wasted 15 minutes typing out some sentences but when I pasted them here they came out as mere squares

[Shakir 2:117] Wonderful Originator of the heavens and the earth, and when He decrees an affair, He only says to it, "Be" and it is.

Sis KZahra, I was going to send you a pm, but just in case anybody else wants to use the Arabic when posting an aya, just copy and paste directly from http://www.al-islam.org/quran ... it works very easily and beautifully alhamdullilah.

Assalam alaykum

On the Day of Mubahila (24th Dhul Hijjah), it has been narrated that Imam Ali (as) gave his ring to a beggar in the position of rukoo, while praying.

Of this incident, the following was revealed in the Holy Qur'aan:

****

In Surat al Maa'ida (the Table):

(bismillah)

[Shakir 5:55] Only Allah is your Wali and His Messenger and those who believe, those who keep up prayers and pay the poor-rate while they bow.

[Shakir 40:55] Therefore be patient; surely the promise of Allah is true; and ask protection for your fault and sing the praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning.

[Shakir 3:173] Those to whom the people said: Surely men have gathered against you, therefore fear them, but this increased their faith, and they said: Allah is sufficient for us and most excellent is the Protector.

Assalam alaikum,

In Surat al Baqara (the Cow):

(bismillah)

[Shakir 2:177] It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the East and the West, but righteousness is this that one should believe in Allah and the last day and the angels and the Book and the prophets, and give away wealth out of love for Him to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and the beggars and for (the emancipation of) the captives, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate; and the performers of their promise when they make a promise, and the patient in distress and affliction and in time of conflicts -- these are they who are true (to themselves) and these are they who guard (against evil).

Before universe existed, there was no space and there was no time, this is what the big bang theory also says. Since we know from the first law of thermodynamics that energy cannot be created merely transferred, we also know that such a massive amount of energy that was the big bang came from a source and whatever that source was, was there before universe was there, and because universe was not there, time was not relevant either so whatever there was, was beyond time, as in infinite, as in no beginning and no end.
