Salam Alaikum

What happened here??

When I posted "its haram", the title of the thread was "universality of music", and asifnaqvi was glorifying music, and told a story abot nusrat fateh ali khan and how people ignore the words and just get enchanted by the music.

Thats what was haram.

Im glad asifnaqvi chose to edit his post about haram music, but this is real strange, instead of deleting it, he changes the whole thing....

<_<

I happened to visit a mehfil-e-naat in a ahal-e-sunnah mosque in my neighbourhood. the paish-namaz of that mosque is a young chap( a freind of mine) & belongs to the brailivi school of thought.

to my great surprise, naats recited by the inviduals had great admiration & love for ahal-e-bait,like

MEIN TO PANJETAN KA GHULAM HOON.

I was also somewhat worried over the chance that ahal-e-sunnah may not like my participation in the function, but people over there rather applishiaded it & only then i got somewhat relieved.i think now that the brailvis school of thought does`t ve` that opposite ideas to shias as wahabis & dyobandis ve`.

wassalam.

MEIN TO PANJETAN KA GHULAM HOON.

In Pakistan a neighbour was holding Mehfil-e-naat one night in Ramadhan, so we decided to pop by.

This naat was the main highlight of the evening :) and they recited it so beautifully

Some guys tried to get in Naare-Tahqeeqs, but the responses were never as unanimous as the Naar-e-Haidari :) regardless of sect

Mein to Panjatan ka ghulam hoon

Mujhe ishq he to Khuda se he

Mujhe ishq he to Rasool se

Mere moon se aye mehk sada

Jo mein naam loon, tera phool se

Mein to Panjatan ka ghulam hoon

Mujhe ishq he sare Chaman se he

Mujhe ishq he to Ali se he

Mujhe ishq he to Zahra se he

Mujhe ishq he to Hasan se he

Mujhe ishq he to Hussain se he

Mujhe ishq he Shah-e-Zaman se

Mein to Panjatan ka ghulam hoon

Another popular one in Pakistan for the kids was "Meetha Meetha he Mere Mohammad ka naam". I especially like the video they showed in PTV

I liked the Qasida Burda Shareef too, especially the one with the translations into siraiki, urdu, pashtu, but what messed it up was the imran khan lookalike who did the translation into english <_<

Mein to Punjetan Ka Ghulam Hoon is recited by the famous sunni naat reciter, Syed Faseeh-ud-deen Suhrwardi, and was, I think, written by some maulvi in Britain..

Anyway, it was a greatttttttt naat..

Nida: Get me that naat :D .. I also have got one such manqabat lol, it starts like: Qasam Khuda ki wohi shaqs Paak Ho jata ;)

Mera Hussain Bagh-e-Nabuwat ka phool hey

Haider ki is me jaan hey Khoon-e-Batool hey

Aal-e-Nabi ka pyaar hey Imaan ki zindagi

In se nahi hey pyaar to sab kuch fazoool hey

Khushiyan sabhi nisaar hain uss per jahan ki

Jis ko gham-e-Hussain may rona qabool hai

Tu un ke dar say mang le jo kuch bhi dil karay

Malik sabhi jahan ki Aal-e-Rasool hai

Duniya me aur kaun hey Shabbir ke bagair

aisa sawaar jis ki sawari Rasool hey

Guzra jahan jahan say nawasa rasool ka

Ab tak wahan khuda k karm ka nazool hai

jis ke liye yazeed ne itney sitam kiye

wo Taj to Hussain ke qadmo ki dhool hey

^_^

Na puchiye ke kya Hussain hai

Har ibteda ke ibteda

karam ki inteha hussain hai

Kya hussain hai

Na puchiye ke kya hussain hai

Kya hussain hai,

Na puchiye ke kya hussain hai....
