Selam alaycom,

A'mal for the Month of Rajab

General

To fast for 4 days is beneficial to save oneself from punishment in the grave.

Whoever fasts for six days in Rajab will find peace in Qiyamat & walk over the Pul-e-siraat easily without accounting.

Night of 1st Rajab

Recite 20 rakat namaaz on the night of 1st Rajab after Maghrib namaaz such that in every Rakat after Surah al- Hamd recite Surah Tawheed once. The reciter & his family will be saved from punishment in the grave & will cross Pul-e-siraat like lightening without any accounting.

1st of Rajab

Recite 10 Rakat Namaaz on the 1st of Rajab such that in every Rakat after Surah al Hamd, recite Surah Tawheed 3 times. A person who prays this Namaaz will be saved from the squeeze of the grave.

Lailatul Raghaib & first Thursday of Rajab

It is related that the person who recites Surah-al Yaseen before going to bed & Namaaz -e -Lailatul Raghaib will be saved from the terror of the grave. The first Friday night of Rajab is known as Lailatul Raghaib. Hazrat Muhammad (saws) used to fast on the first Thursday & between Maghrib & Isha recite 12 Rak’at namaz in six sets of 2 units. In every Rak’at after surah al Hamd recite 3 times Surah al-Qadr & 12 times Surah an Naas. After salam recite 70 times: Allahumma s’ale a’laa muh’ammadin nabiyyil ummi wa a’laa aaleh.

Then go into sajdah & recite70 times: subbuh’un quddoos rabbul malaaaekate war-rooh’

Then sit erect & say 70 times: rabbighfir war-ham watajaawaz a’mma ta’lamo innaka antal a’liyyul a’zeem.

Then go into sajdah & say 70 times: subbooh’un quddoos rabbul malaaekate war-rooh’.

Night of 7th Rajab

The Holy prophet (saws) says that if a person recites 4 unit namaaz on the night of 7th rajab, (such that in each unit after Surah al Hamd recites Surat at Tawheed thrice, Surah alFalaq once, Surah an Naas once. After finishing namaaz recites Salwaat &10 times Tasbeehate Arba’).

Allah will offer him shelter under the Arsh, & give him reward of a person fasting in the month of ramdhan. Till the time he finishes the prayers, the angels pray for his forgiveness. Allah will ease the pangs of death on him & save him from the squeeze in the grave. He will not die unless he sees his place in Paradise, & will be safe from the hardships of Qiyamat.

Middle of month of Rajab & the night of 16th&17th Rajab

To recite 30 rakat namaaz in the middle part of the month such that in each rakat after Surah alHamd recite Sura Tawheed 10 times is beneficial to save oneself from punishment in the grave. In the same manner to recite the above naamaz on the night of 16th &17th Rajab is also beneficial

22nd Rajab

To recite the following 8 Rak’at namaaz on the 22nd of Rajab is beneficial during death. In each Rakat after al-Hamd , recite Surah Tawheed 7 times. After finishing Namaaz, recite sawaat 10 times & recite Astaghfirullah Rabbi wa atooboIlayh 10 times.

24th of Rajab

Fasting on the 24th of Rajab carries great reward. One of its merits is that the angel of death comes in the form of a handsome youth carrying a bowl of the pure drink(Sharaabe Tahoora) & offers it to the dying man. The dying person drinks it & dies in peace.

Last day of Rajab.

For the person who fasts on the last day of Rajab, Allah will save him from the after effects of death.

Peace,

Um Ali

Selam alaycom,

Useful Points for the Great Month of Rajab

By: Sayed Mohammed Musawi

Courtesy: Samir Haidari

The great month of Rajab is one of the four sacred months. This month and the following Shaban and the month of Ramadhan are the greatest months in the year. There is a hadith that the month of Rajab is the month of Allah (swt) and Shaban is the month of the Prophet (sawa) and the month of Ramadhan is the month of the Muslim ummah.

Imam Musa Al Kazim (as) said: Rajab is a great month, during which Allah (swt) multiplies the rewards of good deeds and omits the sins.

These are some useful points for this month:

1) Fasting

It is highly recommended to fast in this month of Rajab even for one day at least. A hadith says: Whosoever fasts a day in Rajab, the fire of hell will be away from him a distance of one year’s journey, and whosoever fasts 3 days in Rajab, will be entitled for Paradise.

Imam Ali (as) used to fast the whole month of Rajab. Many of his followers do the same.

2) Seeking Forgiveness (Estighfaar)

The Prophet (sawa) used to say: Rajab is a month of seeking forgiveness, so seek forgiveness from Allah (swt); He is verily the Forgiver, the Merciful. It is highly recommended to repeat ‘Astaghfirullaah wa as-aluhut tawbah’

3) Sadaqa and Charity

There is a big reward for sadaqa and charity in the month of Rajab. Those who cannot fast may give sadaqa to the poor every day, or recite ‘Subhana Ilalahil Jaleele Subhana Man la Yanbaghil Tasbeeho Illa Lahoo; Subhanal A`azzinil Akrame; Subhana Man Labisal Izza wa Howa Lahoo Ahlun.’

4) Repeating ‘Laa ilaaha illa-Allah’ 1000 times.

5) Repeating ‘Astaghfirullaaha zul jalale wal Ikraam min jamee' al zonoobe wal aathaam‘ 1000 times.

6) Repeating Sura Al Tawheed ‘Qul-ho-wallaho Ahad‘ 1000 times to get the reward of 1000 Angels and blessings on the reciter, his / her children, family and neighbours.

7) It is recommended to recite ‘Qul-ho-wallaho Ahad‘ 100 times every Friday in the month of Rajab.

May Allah (swt) grant you more blessings in this month and every month to do more for the real future in Akhirah.

Peace,

Um Ali

Selam alaycom,

Du'a for the Month of Rajab

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In His name, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

The following du`a is recommended after the daily obligatory prayers. The du`a, according to shaykh `Abbas Qummi in MafateeHul Jinaan has been taught by Imam Ja`far as-Sadiq (a).

To hear the dua

My apologies for not using the standard form of tranliteration. My experience has shown that the method may be okay for academic use but using of diacritical marks look confusing to many.

Key to understanding the transliteration:

Double a, e, and o indicate the long vowels.

Letter Haa (from the throat) represented by capital H, e.g. muHammad.

The sound of `ayn is indicated by `, e.g. `Abbas.

Letter Saad indicated by capital S. However, the sound of Saad is tranliterated as Sw in the salawat.

Letter Dhaad (which follows Saad in the Arabic alphabet) indicated by Dh.

Letter Taa (which follows Dhaad in the alphabet) is indicated as capital T.

Tajweed rules of recitation have been considered here and there.

Transliteration of the Du`a.

Bismillahir-raHmaanir-raHeem.

Allahumma Swalli `alaa muHammadinw wa-aali muHammad.

Yaa man arjoohoo likulli khayr

Wa-aamanu sakhaTahoo `inda kulli sharr

Yaa manyu`Til-katheera bil-qaleel

Yaa manyu`Tee man sa-alah

Yaa manyu`Tee man lam yas-alhu wa-mal-lam ya`rifhu taHannunam minhu waraHmah

A`tinee bimasalatee iyyaak

Jamee`a khayrid-dunyaa wajamee`a khayril-aakhirah

WaSrif `annee bimas-alatee iyyaak

Jamee`a sharrid-dunyaa washarril aakhirah

Fainnahoo ghayru manqooSin maa a`Tayt

Wazidnee min faDhlika yaa Kareem

(Then the 6th Imam held his beard in his left hand and gave a movement to the index finger in his right hand saying :) Yaa dhaljalaali walikraam

Yadhanni`maai waljood

Yadhal-manni waTTawl

Harrim shaybatee `alan-naar.

Translation of the Du'a:

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

O Allah, bless Muhammad and his household.

O He from whom I can hope for all goodness

And I am safe from His anger at every evil.

O He who gives a lot in exchange of a little.

O He who gives to one who asks Him.

O He who gives to one who does not ask Him and does not know Him,

Out of His affection and mercy.

Give me, for my request is only to You alone,

All the good of this world and all the good of the Hereafter.

Keep away from me, for my request is only to You alone,

All the evil of this world and the evil of the Hereafter.

For indeed it is not diminishing what is given by You.

Increase (for) me from Your bounty, O The Generous.

(Then the 6th Imam held his beard in his left hand and gave a movement to the index finger in his right hand saying :)

O The Sublime and The Distinguished,

O The Bountiful and The Magnanimous,

O the Gracious and the Mighty,

Save my grey hairs from the fire (of Hell).

Do not forget me in your supplications.

*** Lailatul Raghaib & first Thursday of Rajab ***

The first Friday night of Rajab is known as Lailatul Raghaib. (Friday night is laylat al jum3a in Arabic which means the night before Friday ie: Thursday night - which falls on August 19, 2004 this year.)

Forgiveness of a great many sins. Safety from the troubles of the first night in the grave, and shelter on the Day of Resurrection, after the Trumpet is blown. The Prayer will take the shape of a fine, smiling person, and he will enter the grave of one who performed it, with the following words: “My dear friends, good news for you! You are safe from all troubles!” The dead one will ask: “But may I know please who you are? I have never seen a face better than yours; nor have I heard words sweeter than the words from your tongue; nor have I smelled a perfume more refreshing than from you!” “My dear, I am the act which you performed on that particular night, month and year, and in that particular country. I have come tonight into your grave to reward you, and to remove your feelings of loneliness and hopelessness. And when the siren on the Day of Judgment will be heard, will take you out, I will provide you a cool cover over your head. So, be full of joy. No goodness will be denied to you.”,

It is related that the person who recites Surah-al Yaseen before going to bed & before Namaaz -e -Lailatul Raghaib will be saved from the terror of the grave.

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) used to fast on the first Thursday & between Maghrib & Isha recite 12 Rak’at namaz in six sets of 2 units. In every Rak’at after surah al Hamd recite 3 times Surah al-Qadr & 12 times Surah an Naas. [or as per other sources, Surah-e-ikhlas]

[1] After salam recite 70 times: اَللّـهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلى مُحَمَّد النَّبِيِّ الاُْمِّيِّ وَعَلى آلِهِ، Allahumma s’ale a’laa muh’ammadin nabiyyil ummi wa a’laa aaleh.

[2] Then go into sajdah & recite 70 times:ُسبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلائِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ subbuh’un quddoos rabbul malaaaekate war-rooh’

[3] Then sit erect & say 70 times: rabbighfir war-ham watajaawaz a’mma ta’lamo innaka antal a’liyyul a’zeem.

[4] Then go into sajdah & say 70 times: سُبُّوحٌ قُدُّوسٌ رَبُّ الْمَلائِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ subbooh’un quddoos rabbul malaaekate war-rooh’.

Selam alaycom,

The Sermon Given By The Prophet (s) On The Last Friday Of Sha'ban On The Reception Of The Month of Ramadhan

“O People !

"Indeed ahead of you is the blessed month of Allah. A month of blessing, mercy and forgiveness. A month which with Allah is the best of months. Its days, the best of days, its nights, the best of nights, and its hours, the best of hours. It is the month which invites you to be the guests of Allah and invites you to be one of those near to Him. Each breath you take glorifies him; your sleep is worship, your deeds are accepted and your supplications are answered. So, ask Allah, your Lord; to give you a sound body and an enlightened heart so you may be able to fast and recite his book, for only he is unhappy who is devoid of Allah’s forgiveness during this great month. Remember the hunger and thirst of the day of Qiyamah (Judgement) with your hunger and thirst; give alms to the needy and poor, honor your old, show kindness to the young ones, maintain relations with your blood relations; guard your tongues, close your eyes to that which is not permissible for your sight, close your ears to that which is forbidden to hear, show compassion to the orphans of people so compassion may be shown to your orphans. Repent to Allah for your sins and raise your hands in dua during these times, for they are the best of times and Allah looks towards his creatures with kindness, replying to them during the hours and granting their needs if he is asked...

"O People! Indeed your souls are dependant on your deeds, free it with Istighfar (repentance) lighten its loads by long prostrations; and know that Allah swears by his might: That there is no punishment for the one who prays and prostrates and he shall have no fear of the fire on the day when man stands before the Lord of the worlds.

"O People! One who gives Iftaar to a fasting person during this month will be like one who has freed someone and his past sins will be forgiven.

Some of the people who were there then asked the Prophet (s): "Not all of us are able to invite those who are fasting?"

The Prophet (s) replied: "Allah gives this reward even if the Iftaar (meal) is a drink of water."

"One who has good morals (Akhlaq) during this month will be able to pass the ‘Siraat’...on the day that feet will slip...

"One who covers the faults of others will benefit in that Allah will curb His anger on the day of Judgement...

"As for one who honors an orphan; Allah will honor him on the day of judgement,

"And for the one who spreads his kindness, Allah will spread His mercy over him on the day of Judgement.

"As for the one who cuts the ties of relation; Allah will cut His mercy from him...

"Who so ever performs a recommended prayer in this month Allah will keep the fire of Hell away from him...

"Whoever performs an obligator prayer Allah will reward him with seventy prayers [worth] in this month.

"And who so ever prays a lot during this month will have his load lightened on the day of measure.

"He who recites one verse of the holy Quran will be given the rewards of reciting the hole Qur’an during other months.

"O People! Indeed during this month the doors of heaven are open, therefore ask Allah not to close them for you; The doors of hell are closed, so ask Allah to keep them closed for you. During this month Shaytan (Saten) is imprisoned so ask your Lord not to let him have power over you."

Selam alaycom,

Imam Sajjad (A) Welcomes The Month Of Ramadhan

Praise be to Allah, who ordained this month, the month of Ramadhan, the month of fasting, the month of Islam, the month of purity, the month of purification, and the month of prayers. In this month the Qur'an was made to descend as a guidance to mankind and contains clear instructions and distinctions. He gave this month superiority over all other months by giving it abundant honor and dignity. He prohibited in it what He has allowed in other months in order to exalt it, and forbade in it food and drink in order to honor it.

O Lord! Bless Muhammad and his family, and inspire us to know this month's excellence, and to honor its dignity, and to abstain from whatever You have forbidden in it. Help us to observe its fast, by restraining our limbs from disobeying You, and by employing them in that which would please You, so that we may not lend our ears to any vain speech, and may not direct our eyes, hands and feet towards anything forbidden, and that nothings fills our stomachs except what You have made lawful, and our tongues may not utter anything except what You have allowed.

O Lord! Bless Muhammad and his family, and give us grace to perform timely the five prayers with due regard to their limits which You have enjoined, and the rites which You have prescribed. In this respect, raise us to the rank of those who performed them with success, who duly observed their essential points, who always performed them at proper times, in most perfect and complete humility according to the rules laid down by Your Prophet, may You blessings be on him and his family.

And our Lord, give us grace in this month, to show favors to our relations, and do good to them, and to take care of our neighbors and do good to them, to take care of our neighbors with kindness and benevolence, to purge our property of obligations, and purify it by giving charity, and to call back those who have left us, and be just to those who were unjust to us, and make pace with those who were hostile to us.

O Lord! Erase our sins with the disappearance of this month's crescent, and free us from our penalties with the completion of its days, so that the month may pass from us while You have cleansed us of our guilts, and freed us from our sins. O Lord! Fill this month with our worship of you alone, and adorn its moments with our service to You, and help us in the daytime to observe the fast, and at night to pray and beseech You, help us to humble ourselves before you and lower ourselves in Your presence.

Peace,

Um Ali

Selam alaycom,

An Introduction to Dua al Iftitah

Du' al Iftitah was taught by our twelfth Imam (a) for Shi'as to recite every night during the month of Ramadhan. The Du'a is excellent for molding man's attitude towards his Creator as it discusses many aspects of the wretchedness of the human being, and the Grace of Allah. The Du'a can be divided into two parts:

1)Man's relationship with Allah.

2) Divine leaders.

The first section of the Du'a describes different qualities of Allah, and reveals the graciousness and love of Allah for the human being. This section of the Du'a can further be divided into the following parts:

a) Praise of Allah. As is the etiquette of Du'a, Du'a alIftitah begins with the praise and glorification of Allah. This is not because Allah needs to be praised before He answers our Du'as, but to remind the supplicant of the Supreme Being he is addressing, and consequently put the awe of Allah into hearts which are often heedless.

The beginning of the Du'a also places the supplicant between hope and fear, the ideal attitude while praying. Allah is most merciful, but is also severe in punishment. Humans are not to despair, nor to be too confident butconstantly strive in His way.

B) Emphasis on the Oneness of Allah. Allah has no partner nor son, and has complete, undivided power and control over creation. The inhabitants of theskies and the heavens depend on Him.This is to strengthen reliance of the supplicant on Allah, as there is none else he can turn to.

c) The Generosity of Allah. The treasures of Allah do not cease, and are always liberally bestowed on His creatures. The needs of the human beings are enormous, and by placing open the door of Du'a, Allah has given them the keys to His treasures. His doors are always open, and no supplication to Him is rejected without some answer.

But man is often ungrateful, and always greedy. He expects that his du'as will always be immediately granted. When such gratification is not forhtcoming, he turns away, instead of reminding himself of all the favours he enjoys.

d) Relationship of Allah and the human being. A strange relationship indeed! Although it is the human who needs Allah, and should strive towrds Him, it is Allah who invites and encourages him to come, who shows love and mercy and continues to favour him in many ways. As the 4th Imam says in Du'a e Abu Hamza Shimali: Praise be to Allah who answers me when I call Him, although I am reluctant when he calls me, and Praise is for Allah who gives me when I ask Him, although I am miserly when he asks me. This is worth pondering over for those who think of Allah as a tyrannical master imposing His rules over humans.

This section of the Du'a is an excellent lesson in the Islamic view point of the qualities of Allah. The God of Islam is a loving, gracious God who treats the human being better than he deserves. The root of the relationship between Allah and man is the love of the Creator for His creatures. It is on man to search his heart for a reciprocal response.

The second section of the Du'a send blessings on the Holy Prophet (s) and the M'asumeen, and then discusses the role of the twelfth Imam (a).

a) Salawat on the Prophet(s). After faith in Allah, the next most important part of religion is faith in His sent ones. Thus after acknowledging the greatness and graciousness of the creator, the Du'a teaches us to acknowledge the Divine leaders as our guides towards Him. Blessings are sent to the Prophet (s) as a sign of love and appreciation for the Prophet (s) and as an acknowledgement that he is a human being and needs mercy and blessings from Allah. It also strengthens rememberance of the Prophet (s) and the inspiration to follow his path.

B) Blessings on the M'asumeen. After the Holy Prophet (s), his successors are remebered and prayed for. These are the true leaders of the Muslim Ummah who were Divinely appointed by Allah. Belief in them, and love for them, is an important part of the Shi'a faith.

c) Role of the Twelfth Imam (a). In every era Allah has His representative who guides His creatures towards establishing truth and justice on earth. The Twelfth Imam is the leader of our time, who will come and Allah's religion on earth. The last part of Du'a alIftitah talks about his coming, preparing believers for the anticipated establishment of the rule of Allah on earth.

Praying for help and victory for the twelfth Imam reminds us that we are waiting for him, and need to prepare for his coming. We become aware of our responsibilities in his ghaybat, and the importance of training ouselves as his helpers. We pray for the ultimate dream of a Muslim, a state in which the religion of Allah is paramount, and disbelief and hypocrisy are degraded.

Du'a al Iftitah reminds us that both faith and action are necessary to be a true believer. Faith in Allah entails acting on His message brought by His messenger, and establishing His religion on earth. While that can only be done through the Imam, we should work and pray for his arrival. Human beings can only enjoy true justice and peace, and a fulfilment of all their needs, under the leadership of a Divine leader.

Du'a al Iftitah is not only a supplication for our needs, but a teaching of the roots of faith, and a planning for a way of life. It remains on us to plot the chart of our life as we recite this beautiful du'a during the nights of Ramadhan.

Assalam alaikum,

Either this evening or tomorrow evening, insha'Allah with Allah (swt)'s mercy.. we will be blessed with the Holy month of Ramadhan once again. You may also see the new moon symbolising it's beginning. A du'a for the Sighting of the Moon can be recited.

May Allah (swt) bless all the true mu'mineen in this Holy month who strive to do all that is good in the name of Allah `azza wajal, the Lord of all the Worlds.

wa alaykum assalam

Hawaaaijinaa,

Yaa Allahu

Yaa Allahu

Yaa Allahu

Innaka alaa kulli shayin qadeer

Allaahumma salli alaa Muhammadinw wa aali Muhammad.

O Allah, send blessings on Muhamm ad and on the progeny of Muhammad.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

O He who overlooks sins, and does not inflict punishment in return,

Have mercy on Thy servant, O Allah, be sparing with me, save me,

I am Thy servant.

I am at Thy disposal.

O my Lord,

O Allah, in the name of Thy Being.

O Hope,

O Beneficent,

O Supporter,

Thy servant, Thy servant,

Has no strategy, You are the last stage of his aspirations.

O He who makes the blood runs into my veins.

O Chief,

O Master,

It is He Whom I desire,

It is He Whom I desire,

O Lord,

Thy servant, Thy servant,

Has no strategy;

Has nothing of his own,

Has no control over loss,

No over profit.

I do not find any one to seek help, so all profitable avenues have been blocked,

All my expectations have turned into disappointments,

Helpless and forsaken I came to Thee, and (now) stand before Thee.

O my Allah,

Thou art aware of that which

I speak about,

So how would Thou deal with me?

If I but knew how would Thou

Dispense with my prayer?

Yes?

Or No?

If No,

Then I am ruined!

I am ruined!

I am ruined!

Woe to me!

Woe to me!

Woe to me!

Oh my misery!

Oh my misery!

Oh my misery!

Oh my ill-luck!

Oh my ill-luck!

Oh my ill-luck!

To whom? By whom?

Or from whom? Or how?

Or in which place to take shelter?

Who shall pay attention and show favour to me, when Thou had forsaken me?

O Liberal Forgiver,

If it is yes,

As I expect and desire, then it is an occasion for joy, I am successful, I am happy, I have been chosen to receive (Thy) mercy.

And I receive mercy,

O Merciful!

O Compassionate!

O Pardoner!

O Omnipotent!

O Sovereign!

O Just!

If I do not have a clean record to show Thee for obtaining fulfillment of my desires, (then) I beseech Thee in the names of Thy name which Thou has kept invisible.

Safely under Thy control, and nothing comes out from there except by Thy leave. I beseech Thee by it. For, certainly it is the most high and honoured of Thy names, I have nothing to mention except this, And no one is more beneficial for me than Thee.

O Absolute Being!

O creator of creation!

O He Who made my mind and soul perceive His Being!

O He Who commanded me to obey!

O He Who directed me not to disobey!

O He Who is besought!

O He Who is requested!

O He Who is desired!

I overlooked Thy instructions which Thou gave me and did not obey Thee, although in that which Thou orders me I obey Thee; (but) in all events, for my every work I turn to Thee and Thou effectively accomplishes it. Inspite of my transgression I am hopeful of Thy kindness, so do not let my hope remain unfulfilled,

O the Most Merciful, keep me safe, under Thy protection, from (all evils) that are before me, behind me, above me, below me, and surround me from all sides,

O my Allah,

For the sake of my master, Muhammad. And my Chief, Ali (a.s.), And the Righteous Holy Imams, Peace be on them.

Bestow Thy blessings (on us)

Treat us kindly, and have mercy (on us),

And multiply our

Livelihood,

Make us repay our debts, and satisfy all Our wants

And needs,

O Allah,

O Allah,

O Allah,

Verily Thou art able to do all things.

O Allah, send blessings on Muhammad and on the progeny of Muhammad.

This is one of my favourite duas. Praise be to Allah . It is part of the namaz for Sayeda Fatima Zahra (sa):

Allahumma Salli Alaa Muhammadinw wa aali Muhammad.

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem.

Yaa man Laysa ghayrahoo Rabbun Yudaa,

Yaa man laysa fawqahoo ilaahun Yukhshaa,

Yaa man laysa doonahoo malikun yuttaqaa,

Yaa man laysa lahoo wazeerun yoo-taa,

Yaa man laysa lahoo Haajibun yurshaa,

Yaa man laysa lahoo Bawwaabun Yughshaa,

Yaa man laa YazdaDO alaa Kathratis soo aali illaa karaman

WO joodan wa alaa kathratid dunoobi illaa afwan wa safhan salli alaa Muhammadin wa aali Muhammad.

Waf al bee kadaa wa kadaa

O Allah, send blessings on Muhammad and on the progeny of Muhammad.

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

O He, besides Whom, there is no lord, to be invoked,

O He, above Whom, there is no god to be feared;

O He, except Whom, there is no Master, to be obeyed;

O He, except Who has no counselor to be approached,

O He, Who has no attendant to be bribed;

O He, Who has no doorkeeper, to be fooled;

O He, Who gives not but generously and liberally, (No matter) how many are the demands,

And (deals out) with numerous sins but mercifully and kindly;

Send blessings on Muhammad and his Progeny,

And do (as I request)… (mention your desires).

(salam)

It is recommended on the 13th to 15th of this holy month, to read Dua Mujir:

To read the English translation and Arabic text

Dua Mujir was revealed by the angel Gibreal to the Prophet (pbuh) when he was praying at Maqam Ibrahim. If it is read in the 13th-15th of the holy month of Ramadhan, Allah will forgive the person's sins, if they were as many as drops of water in the sea, or leaves on a tree, or grains of sand. It can cure the ill, repay debts, cure poverty, remove worries and adversities: (Al Kafa'ami, Al Balad al Amin)

To hear Dua Mujir recited by Walid Mazeedi

To hear Dua Mujir recited by Hajj Maytham Kathim

To hear Dua Mujir recited by Aba Tharr al Halwaji

    • Verdicts & final judgement of whom? Is there a possibility that those verdicts & judgements be wrong? Or you're specifically talking about the verdicts & judgements of "Rasikhoona fil ilm"?
    • if four witnesses accused of stealing, you declared innocence, were innocent, but the witnesses were your enemies, is that a fair judgement?. The judge would not know, as the witnesses looked just like you. This happens around the world daily. Your statement is incorrect, it would not be a fair judgement, it would appear to be one, similar to how western politicians use this same concept to invade nations. It is a fair judgement according to their criteria. But those on the receiving end find it abysmal. The reason why you prefer B&W situations, because your mind prefers order and thus it is too simplistic in nature to consider options as it requires critical thinking. This is general for a majority of human beings, as there are too many variables in all cases including the B&W ones. Hence, if one were to analyse religion, its majority is based around this B&W concept, as order is preferred over disordered, especially in regards to the whole, even if we have collateral damage.
For God, everything is black and white It is for us, ignorant human beings, that gray areas exist, temporarily of course. If you maintain Taqwa, you have black and white distinction in this life; and if not, it will be on the day of judgment, the day of distinction.
    • Either place right over left or left over right both mean cross legged. However, in Pakistan and India while people sit on the ground, they fold their legs like in yoga people do, but this is not exactly like Yoga but more relaxed, I think, I have to ask this question from my Maraja as well.
