Al-Salamu Alaykum

I believe the "s" word which has an x at the end should be edited out just like other inappropriate words on this pure Islamic website.

We can use the word gender instead.

Or we can be mature about it and know that word has more than one meaning besides the pairing of man and woman. Even maraji talk about sex in regards to Islamic rulings.

Don't be immature, in that context, it is exactly the same as saying intercourse. You need to have jambeh.

That's like saying poop is the same as the other s word which has the same meaning.

There are appropriate and inappropriate words for the exact same meaning.

Sex as in gender is not inappropriate, and poop is the same as the other s word and be just as inappropriate depending on how you use it and where you say it.

I think most here are mature enough to understand that.

@Hameedeh What do you think?

If he wants to ban the word sex from ShiaChat discussions, how will he discuss the religious consequences of homosexuality?

So why is one edited out while the other isn't, if they're the same thing?

:)

I am pretty  sure that you can't talk about poop or much less say poop in a mosque, going by your logic.

It is obvious what the meaning would be depending on the context in which one uses the word.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm asking why is poop not edited out but the s word which has the same meaning is edited out?

Because this s word is mainly used to offend people or express disgust in a stronger and cruder manner.

Right, same could be said for sex. Context matters, Sumerian.

The bold word is always inappropriate imo.

I hope the mods and admins discuss my pure suggestion

In your opinion, which illustrates a lack of maturity on your part because you only associate sex with what after marriage. Plenty of others here are not, they know that word means gender in certain contexts.

Since when? When has the other s word been used for describing transgressions?

It can mean gender, but it's used for inappropriate reasons so gender is better.

For zina purposes.
