Are other sects other than ja'afri sect

@thulfiqaar

salam brothers and sisters,

I was speaking to my father regarding Islam, He told me that all other sects in Islam such as Wahhabi and the Sub sects of Shia are considered muslims. I understand Islam is believing in the oneness of Allah and that Muhammed(PBUH) is his messenger but it cant be all that can it? Like the true religion of Islam is la ilaha ila Allah w muhammed rasool ullah and following the ahlul bayt. I am a Shia, my father is a sunni and he was taught things that are considered in our sect bad. for example, my dad says muawaiyah(r.a) but i curse the name everytime he mentions them and at the same time he respects the ahlul bayt. My mother is a Shia aswell, only problem is that my dad and brother consider Wahhabism, Ismaelism and the other shia sects as muslims, is this considered right or wrong?

generally speaking anybody who says and believes la illah illallah muhamdurusullah is considered a muslim according to some ulama and some scholars differ but I agree with the first opinion on that matter.

takfir is not the shia way.

anyone who testifies that there is one god, and muhammad is his final messenger (shout out to ahmadi) is a muslim. anyone who believes that Maula Ali (as) is the successor of Muhammad (s) is a level above this. we believe that the offshoots of shiism like the agha khanis and ismailis and so on are misguided but still muslim.

having said that, anyone who fully understands wilayat, has had the hujjat completed on them, who accepts that it is true in their hearts but cowardice prevents them from following the Imams (as), is a munafiq. these are worse than kuffar.

I'm kind of confused because the ruling by early Shia scholars was that anyone not Shia was a kafir. Like Allameh Baqir al Majlisi. There are so many hadith in his books that say thinks like the faith of one who rejects Imam Ali is not accepted, etc.

It was only until later that this ruling was changed.

    • سبحان الله Salam Alaikum, oh brothers and sisters around the globe! Jazak Allah Khair! POEM: When a Believer was made visible to them, And he tells to those who may be guided about the true Submission, By the Lord of the Seven Heavens, Those are who reject the true Submission, Those to who the Heavens are shown, And they shall say: These are clouds on top of the other! Indeed, They shall not but make themselves useful, This is a reminder for those who may be guided.
    • I just want to recite few verses of Chapter 47 of Qur'an e Majeed: Surah Muhammad, Verse 25:
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ ارْتَدُّوا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِهِم مِّن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْهُدَى الشَّيْطَانُ سَوَّلَ لَهُمْ وَأَمْلَىٰ لَهُمْ Surely (as for) those who return on their backs after that guidance has become manifest to them, the Shaitan has made it a light matter to them; and He gives them respite.
(English - Shakir) Surah Muhammad, Verse 26:
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لِلَّذِينَ كَرِهُوا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ سَنُطِيعُكُمْ فِي بَعْضِ الْأَمْرِ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ إِسْرَارَهُمْ That is because they say to those who hate what Allah has revealed: We will obey you in some of the affairs; and Allah knows their secrets.
(English - Shakir) Surah Muhammad, Verse 27:
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَارَهُمْ But how will it be when the angels cause them to die smiting their backs.
(English - Shakir) Surah Muhammad, Verse 28:
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمُ اتَّبَعُوا مَا أَسْخَطَ اللَّهَ وَكَرِهُوا رِضْوَانَهُ فَأَحْبَطَ أَعْمَالَهُمْ That is because they follow what is displeasing to Allah and are averse to His pleasure, therefore He has made null their deeds.
      (English - Shakir)
    • He just wants to have a physical relationship with you. Is he your fiance? or are you planing to marry him?
    • Entire azadari is not an obligatory act of worship. Meaning there is nothing wajib in it.  Do whatever you can and do it with sincerity - that's all brother.
