After 6 days of keeping a minimum calorie deficit of 1000 and doing mostly push ups as well as other simple exercises (plus lots of walking) I have lost 2.4 Kg and 1% body fat. :yahoo:

Great! That's real progress dawg!

Previously you mentioned that your calorie intake was 800 divided into 5 meals a day right? Can you tell me how do you pull this miracle? What goes to make a meal? I clock up 500/600 calories per meal if I eat five times a day, which comes to 2500/3000 a day. Probably okay for a slim fit man with lots of physical activity. But not good for me.

Doosri baat, what can I do to speed up my metabolism? It's key to losing weight right? A nutritionist told me for genetic reasons I have very slow metabolism, which means my body stores extra calories easily. It also means I have to work twice as much as a normal person to lose as much weight.

Thanks bro. My understanding is that you gotta have small size but regular meals and sufficient sleep in order to speed up metabolism. To be honest, mine sky rocketed since I started having regular small meals. I've also quit most of the processed and junk food. I am sticking to mostly organic and home made food which I think may be helping.

My list of food items is not something you'd appreciate. Keeping our Pakistani diet in mind, I'd say you continue to consume at least 2-3 rotis per day. Best to divide it between meals rather than having 3 rotis at once. And if you want to challenge yourself you can include the following items as part of your regular small meals: a fruit a day, two cups of tea (if you're a tarorri like me), cucumber, 2 carrots, a tomato, 2-3 boiled egg whites, nuts, fish fillet, a cup of cooked brown rice (basmati is fine too), a few strawberries, half sweet potato, half a banana, quarter chicken breast, 2 weet bix, mix salad (no dressing) e.t.c These are the usual items in my list. I plan my day every morning and pick the foods as per my liking and as per availability. I try to consume low calorie food during the day (egg whites, carrots, cucumber, sweet potato, tomato, apple e.t.c) because I like to have 1 proper meal in the evening to keep sanity and to look forward to something yummy; 1 roti with the usual home cooked salan. It's amazing how you also start appreciating Kaddu and teenday by then :D

Thanks you for showing me the way, saeen. Most of the food items you mentioned are on my list. I'm eating no more than one roti a day, and avoid salans that use lots of oil. My erratic sleep times need to improve. I underestimate its effect on my metabolism I guess. One problem of not having a 9-5 job is that you become random. Anyway is there some jari booti type thing that I can eat to improve metabolism? Like Ispaghol husk or something. They say it's good for metabolism?

And yeah, every thing tastes like Manna when you eat a good evening meal after a long day of near-abstinence. That way husbands appreciate their wives cooking skills :P

That video of Street Workout is incredible. I have never seen a guy doing one arm work with a weight in the other hand, with a smile on his face. Wow. MashaAllah.

Woah! haha those videos are awesome!  Thank you All. I needed this 'push' .... Didn't do enough push ups today (for a genuine reason). But the good news is that other people have started noticing the difference and I received good feedback from guests. So I am all pumped up and starting tomorrow, I am gonna do 20 push ups for every post above starting from the Obama vs Putin one ....

@Chaotic Muslem Those two videos are my bible for the next couple of weeks :D thanks. I won't be able to do all of them.... especially hand stands and one arm push ups....not that advanced level yet.... but I'll get there... one day

Another advice i wish to give which is really one of the secrets for performance is breath regulation.

Try different ways or breathing while doing excersize, like try synching it with your movement and hold it in different phases.

For example: when you lift heavy objects, make sure you fill your lungs with air and hold the air during the lift and when your releasing the weight, exhale as you do so.

On a benchpress you can try inhaling a lot then hold it in and pump like 4-5 times and then exhale, take new air and hold it for another 4-5 reps.

For stamina, make sure your breath follows a rythm and make effort to keep your heart beat down.

The best thing for weight loss is to maintain a some what high pulse for a extended amount of time while doing your excersize.

Sorry for any misspellings, typing on phone. Also, good job and keep it up!
