Well, well, well. Though he did seem sane and even respectable in the lecture - though, I seriously couldn't put off how much his accent and even style of speaking, including the way he would link his sentences, was reminiscent of Sayed Ammar's style - you can't have THAT many fake twitter and Facebook accounts and not a word from any credible source, or himself, of any of them being fake.

I know. It's ridiculous. I wonder how he talks normally?

I think you had a hint in the beginning, when he says, "You know I am from Qum..."

Didn't he say that he just came from Qum (from Howza presumably), rather than that he was from Qum?

Oh, and would you please quote the edited post of mine. The last one was a bit...aggressive?

I liked the way you put it first better, and considering this indviduals beliefs and actions I wouldn't worry too much about being a little aggressive, but ok, I've edited it.

The problem largely isn't with this individual as his ignorance is apparent. To any one with common sense it is clear he is a Jahil. The Problem is that no one said any thing to him at any of these centers, and no one apparently bothered to do any sort of research before inviting him.

We (shias) as a community need to stop worshiping any one who wears a turban, and recognize that some of these individuals are complete fraudsters and deceivers, who call others to misguidance.

Well said, the community needs to open up their eyes and realise people are purposely being placed to misguide them and we need to strengthen our Imaan so we can differentiate right from wrong and stand up against wrongdoers, regardless of their background and whether they wear a turban. A turban is not a proof of piety or knowledge in this era.

Apparently since the inception of this thread - recently tawhidi has deleted all of his facebook accounts (as there were more than the ones in the original post) - as well as his inflamatory and kufr statements on twitter.

In addition my statements regarding his past in the howza have been erased since I did not provide the actual proof for those statements. In any case I will - if I see fit, get verifiable proof of the things I sad. It will wait to be seen if that is needed.

Oh, I don't exactly remember what he said. Why I quoted that part was because he had a totally different accent, more like how some British teenagers talk these days, when he said that and since you wanted to know how he talked normally, I pointed to that part of his speech. :P

I don't know about the rest but this twitter account says it's not run by him:

More so than Tawhidi himself, lunatics are the communities and individuals who invite him. Some have diverted too far away from what our ideals should be and have become obsessed with individuals who can merely entertain them from the pulpits.

Salaam Allaikum everyone,

This individual is well known in the hawza amongst the brothers who are studying there. Basically he came here about 2 years ago and began studying farsi at the school everyone goes to called Al Mahdi (its a pre hawza school for language).

He is an extremely shady character with known mental problems (he takes anti-psychotic medication to keep himself normal).

Not only has he committed kufr on his fb page (where he likens Imam Ali to God during multiple instances) but he also insults Aisha saying that she is a pornstar and a fornicator....

As far as his pictures go...anyone can go and put on the Amameh (turban) with Sayyid Shirazi..They do this not as an official ceremony but for the sake of blessings (since he was already wearing it when he came in). Many of the other maraja do the same thing assuming that an individual who has put on the turban has been deemed qualified by his own teachers and peers... It is a system of trust that he has taken advantage of...

omg listen to him at the question and answer, you will be surprised what he talks about in front of children...

it starts at 33:39 but try to listen to the whole thing, especially near the end.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qun5ARKYKmw

Even his Q&A demonstrates a very weak understanding of Islam.

For those that didn't understand the Arabic; he was asked whether or not Abbas (as) is a Syed. His answer was that to be a Syed, your lineage has to go back to an Imam, and Abbas (as) is the son of Imam Ali (as). This is wrong; in order to be a Syed, your lineage must go back to Hashim, the grandfather of the Prophet (SAWA). By his definition, the Prophet (SAWA), Fatima (as), and Imam Ali (as) wouldn't be Syeds.

I never heard of this guy before reading this thread.

Based on his Twitter feeds (which he didn't denounce to my knowledge) he is a circus clown and in no way deserves to wear an Amamah or

be invited to any center where Shia of Ahl Al Bayt are present.

Most likely he is deleting his online fitna in an attempt to come back and 'rebrand' himself and then accuse those who 'started rumors' about him

I have seen this happen before. The problem is that people who are this misguided tend to expose themselves over and over again by their

own actions. Most likely, he will soon lose all credibility and be a non issue and he can go back to cursing Aisha and Umar and making inappropriate comments

to an audience of one (maybe a mirror or a stuffed animal).

I really don't think this guy is even worth posting anything about, but i wanted to say publicly that I support Br. Al-Mufeed 110% in his effort to expose this obvious attempt to create fitna between us and our Sunni brothers and sisters in line with the interests of Zionists, Wahabis, and the Imperialist agenda. Salam to all true followers of Rasoulallah(p.b.u.h) and Ahl Al Bayt(a.s).

If you read the last few Twitter posts and compare them to his 'interesting' and 'attention grabbing' posts, you'd think it was two different people.

:/

Edit*

I retract my statement. Just read his comment about McDonalds and `Aisha...

Guys it does say on his profile:

'This profile is not run by Brother Tawhidi. All views do not necessarily represent Brother Tawhidi'

The further comments that I've read are only still speculative stuff that isn't actual confirmation of anything. It's like saying Sheikh Yassir is an MI5 spy; a million people could say that but it doesn't mean its true.

Imam Ali (as) said: 'Give your brother the benefit of the doubt'

One brother above said 'He is an extremely shady character with known mental problems (he takes anti-psychotic medication to keep himself normal).'

let's assume that he is who we all say he is, then what if alot of it is due to his mental illness? I think its best to stop speculating until there is proper information because we do not want to be fall into the category of gheeba.

Brother Labbayk,

This individual has been warned countless numbers of times. He has been kicked out of 3 schools (maybe more) here in Qum. The twitter account, his multiple fb pages, and his own webpage are all his...run by him. Its time individuals like him were exposed for the frauds that they are. The clothing of the Prophet (s) isn't a denim jacket that anyone can just throw on....they have to be qualified to wear it. This shaytaan in human form isn't qualified from the knowledge perspective, nor the akhlaq perspective. He went from prowling the streets for girls (he was known for his completely deviant and filthy behavior) to that of a 'pious' shaykh giving sermons from the pulpit of the Prophet.

The comments that he has made (he usually makes them and then deletes them when people criticize him) are straight up kufr. There is a plan to present these comments to the Special Clergy Court which exists here in Qum for deviant people who wear the clothes of the scholars. Inshallah, he will be indicted and jailed...

Debate between Muhammad Tawhidi (his full name) with a sunni.

"Holy is spelt 'H O L I' not H O LY' as in holey"

He also lies about having studied 'for a while' in al-Azhar, Cairo. He has never been to Egypt.

I wouldn't say they're lunatics per se, more likely just good hearted folk who didn't study up enough on the speaker they brought.

Also, I understand the permissibility about ghiba of those who pub locally sin or something along those lines, but are we allowed to be calling him names like clown and such (which he isn't necessarily)?
