(salam)

Dear brothers and sisters,

Some brothers have been gathering PDF files and adding them to the DropBox, to which I put the link in my signature. Many of the books were found around the internet on websites such as GoalofLife, IslamicMobility, etc. However, many of the books were also hand-converted from HTML format into PDF format and cannot really be found elsewhere on the internet.
The most recently converted book was The Life of Muhammad (saws) by Baqir Shareef al-Qureshi ÑÍãå Çááøå.

https://www.dropbox....mmad (saws).pdf

Since more and more books are going to be added bi ithn Allah, I thought it best to make a topic that will post updates as to which new books were added to the DropBox.

In the meantime, please share the link with others so that we all may benefit and increase in our knowledge.

https://www.dropbox....72jv/_NEQCVTCXy

The volunteers working on this project are looking to make the books available to all the world. Many ideas have been put forth, such as:

- Creating a Wordpress Blog (+Newsletter: in order to keep everyone updated) in which the books will be on display like on Sister Hameedeh's profile:

http://www.shiachat.com/forum/profile/66196-hameedeh/?tab=field_core_pfield_17

- Keeping the DropBox page (which isn’t the most efficient)
- Implementing the books with al-islam.org (this needs at least a few weeks to even become a possibility)
- etc...

The goal is to make all the books available to everyone (even non muslim) and findable on google so all the world can have access to the true religion of Islam, in ONE place, in many formats (but especially PDFs).
If you have any suggestions, you are more than welcome to let us know, as well as if anyone has any PDFs that they didn't find in the DropBox, feel free to pass the link to contribute.

Fi aman Allah

Please excuse me for the deleted posts. The first post in the thread was getting extremely huge due to the sheer number of links which made it very difficult for me to edit it. So I had to split it into several posts.

If you can speak Arabic, perhaps these books of `Aqeedah might be interesting to you. Building up your Usool always leads to a strong faith, enjoy:

Salam,

I do speak Arabic, but I'm not much of a reader though. Are there  versions in English? Thank you,  I would love to build my faith.  :)

I can't say for all of them, but just eyeballing, I know al Rasa'il al-`Ashar has a translation to English, it's a decent book outlining aspects of Usul, followed by the Daleel that Shaykh al Taa'ifah رضوان الله تعالى عليه found for it. I own an old edition of it printed in the 90s, that was printed in Pakistan, so I'm not sure if it's had recent printing.

Though these books aren't from the site, I know that Sayyid Mujtaba Lari رضوان الله تعالى عليه had books on `Aqa'id as well, here his books "God and His Attributes" can be read. If online reading isn't your thing, his books are fairly easy to obtain, the masjid I bought my copies from said that he also gives these books for free if you contact his website. There's also the book by Yasin T. al-Jabouri entitled "Allah" which is, it includes a biography of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وآله, I don't know if this one can be read online though. What might be useful could be Hadeeth books on Tawheed like Tawheed al Saduq رضوان الله تعالى عليه, or parts of books of Hadeeth which deal with `Aqeedah on Tawheed, such as parts of Usul al-Kafi, or the Ahadeeth on Tawheed from `Uyun Akhbar al Ridaa عليه السلام (can be read here in English).

Perhaps try checking out sites like al-islam.org, they're bound to have books on theology and `Aqeedah. And sorry for the ramblings in this post.
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركته

May Allah bless you :)

Here's a short booklet (18 pages) on the islamic dress code by Allama Said Nursi; http://www.mediafire.com/?kksabsmb8em0enk

Happy the  husband  who  sees  the  wife’s  firm  religion  and  follows  her,  and himself becomes pious in order not to lose his companion of eternal life.

Happy the wife who sees her husband’s firmness in religion and becomes pious so as not to lose her eternal friend.

Alas for the  man who  becomes dissolute,  which will lose  him  for  ever that righteous woman.

Alas for the woman who does not follow her pious husband and loses her eternal blessed friend.

And a thousand woes on the unhappy husband and wife who imitate each other in sin and vice, helping one another to enter Hell-fire!

Salam. I think the Dropbox account above was removed or something? Thus, some of the PDF links do not work.

But, the links for http://www.ziyaraat.net/ , http://www.shiamultimedia.com & http://islamicblessings.com are pretty fine.

    • That doesn't quite make sense to me if I were to be honest with you. I'm being forced to live, I'm suppose to just randomly cope with life and deal with everything pretending like it's ok. And when it becomes to much to handle and I give up there's a bigger punishment waiting. Ppl say pray make dua do good deeds.......I've been doing nothing but that. I'm begging to feel like islam is fake. Partly why I'm willing to take this risk.
    • Why does that even matter?! Your basically saying "no don't kill yourself forget what your going through just keep up with that good reputation!!"
    • Imam Jafar al Sadiq a.s replied in context to infatuation. What do you think about what was the condition of your attraction towards that guy ? Were you infatuated by his personality or attracted by morals and behavior. Have you loved him due to being of good faith or good personality. If you loved him due to good faith, then you loved him due to Allah and if you loved him due to his personality, then you loved him due to materialistic aims and one who has materialism in his spirit, will learn one day that materials do not live by his side always. And if one learns such lesson with the departure of materialistic sooner, it would be much better.
    • yes. and we know they already knew because of the ahadith that i mentioned. as for why their knowledge/question is not mentioned in the quran, if that is what you are asking, then only Allah knows. absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. basic principle of logic.
    • Ya Akhi, I think you have not pondered what I have mentioned.  Verse 33:33 mentions that Abu Bakar, Umer and Usman were not true Khalifas appointed by Allah because they are not infallible which is one condition for Imamate or Caliphate which is mentioned in Quran [Shakir 76:24] Therefore wait patiently for the command of your Lord, and obey not from among them a sinner or an ungrateful one. Since all three of them were sinners and fallible so they are ruled out of 12 Imams of Quraish.  Secondly, Verse 33:33 Proves that Imams are only from Ahlebait of Prophet PBUHHP and they were Muhammad, Ali, Fatima, Hasan and Hussain and the following Imams. This was the reason that the Imams after them were called Sons of Prophets.  Another Evidence was from yourself which you gave from Nehjul Balagha which proves that we Shias are right in saying that Bibi Ayesha, Talha and Zubayr did mistakes and violated their oath which they took before Imam Ali a.s. Now, if you accept the above facts, I would further go on providing you traditions about Ghadeer-e-Khum and if you do not say that Bibi Ayesha, Talha and Zubayr did not do wrong, then why wasting my time and yours bro ?
