"Why cant I post? Chat, PM Or change my profile?"

Recommended Posts

Salam Alaikum,

ShiaChat.com is a moderated forum - only confirmed registered accounts will be able to post. If you've registered but cannot post, keep reading. If you've registered, can post but cannot PM, email, access chat or change your profile, skip to "Becoming an Advanced member"

Validating your account with ShiaChat.com

After you've registered to the site with a valid email, you would have been sent an email from the forum advising you to click a link to validate your account. This is done for security purposes. If you do not click on that link, you will not be able to post.

Because this email is auto-generated, it's usually caught by spam-detectors, bulk-item folders and Junk boxes. Please check all those and add shiachat.com toy our safe senders list.

If you're unsure if you've validated your account or not, or have lost the email, log back into ShiaChat.com, if by your nickname it says [Re-send validation email], then it means you've not yet validated. click on this link to be sent another validation email instantly and follow the instructions on that email. If this is not the case, contact the administration team at webmaster@shiachat.com. Please note, you only have 7 days from when you've registered to validate your account, otherwise it will be automatically deleted and you must re-register.

Becoming an Advanced Member

If you're able to post but are not able to send a private message, access the chatroom, vote in a poll or change your profile and signature, it means you're still a basic member and will not be able to do this until you've become an Advanced member.

Advanced members are any member whose post count exceeds 25 posts. This is a security measure to protect against spammers and to insure quality of this forum. Please do not contact us to be switched to an Advanced member. This is an automatic procedure that happens the second you reach 25 posts.

For any other issues or questions, please start a topic in our Technical support and Feedback forum.
