eh..eh....eh..budak-budak ni sudah cakap peranchis pula!! kan dok dah kata mestilah cakap satu-patah dua cakap melayu :D .

wah! sarah hebat cakap french ye? belajar di singapura ke?

Tengku, Cik ni from the shia faith..and I love those non-shia muslim brothers or sisters who bear no hostility against us and our beliefs. :D. The problem is that the moment the sunni brothers and sisters find out that we are shias, they shun away from us...it is not us that are shunning away from them.

InshaAllah, we would want to visit Perth (I'm from Melbourne), memang kepingin nak visit dan tengok sendiri kampong melayu di Perth and its good if we know some malay shia families, otherwise Bro Aba Abdillah has to pick us up at the airport. ^_^

Salam,

Rosley, u mesti paham,

Malaysia have a wonderful check and balance system. Semua orang ada kebebasan tetapi setiap tindakan mestilah didalam approved system. I personally tak tahu ada A.B telah di ISAkan but that ISA thing is applicable to everybody. You breached the boundary u kena. So stay calm, act as a good a malaysian. There are countless of wannabes mullahs from sunni side telah di ISA kan. Betul tak? U follow news lately? So pls do!

Zareen,

Y? just stay in this country. u ar making too much sacrifices!

But the Dr is leaving anyway. How sad..

rgds.

No I am not Malay Malaysian. It is a secret. I don’t want people knocking on my door and dragging me somewhere cold, dark and lonely

Actually I had an Iraqi Fiancée, lost him in this crazy war and sanction. God bless his soul.

I don’t think Dr M knows a lot about specific religious Issue. And he doesn’t strike to me as someone who have time for shia sunni debate or polemic. All he is interested is economic, scientific and welfare of Malaysian. And he has very good understanding of this matter. He does really care about Malaysia and Malaysian

You know religious Issue In Malaysia is handle by Majlis Ulama and prime minister has an advisor that advices him in this matter. There are too many wahhabi in Majlis Ulama right now. Malay are not Wahhabis, they are Sunnis and Sunnis in Malaysia are truly wonderful people.

I was told that those(some) who are in ISA are for other reason apart from being follower of Ahlul Bayt. But yes, we don’t have that much freedom in Malaysia.

In this world it is not easy to find a good leader. And compare to some other leader in this world, Dr M is really okay.

I love Dr Mahatir. He's strong and firm. I love what he said about George the Pig Soros back in 98 with the S.E.Asian crisis. He's done a lot for malaysia. Got good ties with iran. Stands up against aggression. He may have a couple elements one could argue against, but over-all, he's a good leader.

I cant stay here. I wish I can but not anymore

Dr is going but we had him for a long time and he did set a new standard for how a leader should be, what should his priorities be and how should a leader behave.

Hey, use Malay :P this is a Malay topic

Salam Zareen/Rosley and others,

definitely malaysia will not feel anything by losing 'phobic' people. maybe US is such a nice place after all. maybe in US, u will find the real freedom, freedom to be among the A.Bs. maybe in USA, people will not go knocking your door and drag you out in the middle of the night..

yeah we the mainstream muslims in m'sia are bad. we pray strangely, we eat haram food (crabs, squids etc/ the sins are equal to drinking wine or eating pork) oh what else, we go to hell and heaven is sooo far away or maybe no heaven at all due to us not believing in imamate.

remember, that ISA thing is good (it is d best alternative to god's laws). if not 4 that ISA, maybe most of us are communists already. malaysia did not even exist in the first place. and maybe no A.Bs. in malaysia due to your parents could not study in UK/USA.

i just do not understand some people, plain fools yg tak rasa syukur di atas kemakmuran malaysia. jugak yg tak nak mengaku melayu kononnya takut di ISA kan.

but i take my Dr & Mdm Dr and our ulama words, shiah adalah sedara seislam kita, Dr M pun menggalakkan hubungan hala dgn iran. look at petronas/proton, investing in iran.

Sis Zareen..ucapkan selamat dan bahagia di rantau orang. :).

This thread should actually be in the Asia forum. Tapi tak apa lah! kita boleh bicarakan di sini.

Dr M is no doubt a shrewd politician. However , what he did to Anwar leaves a lot of questions unanswered.

Tengku, I'm glad to know that u are all for brotherhood. Unfortunately, the animosity of our mainstream brothers/sisters against us is too apparent. I wish more are like u..is this possible?

anyway, can someone tell me what is A.B.?

Br Tengku

Calm down bro..sabar..sabar..bawa bertenang

This is not a WWF...now, tell me what I said which sounded bad to you?

I love Malaysia, I don’t mind being here all my life but the problem is My husband is not Malaysian. He is US..either I joined him or he'll get another wife..So you see I do have to leave Malaysia. As far as US is concern, I have spend a lot of time there, I was studying, working and had a life there. I know what US is an frankly I love Malaysia more. But i love my husband more. In my opinion the best country in the world is Malaysia..and I love my life here but eventually everyone move away and they don’t always stay in one place for a long time

about dragging and stuff..comeone brother, I was just kidding..you don’t have too take all my word seriously. Maybe I should have put a smiley so it would be clearer :D

I don’t agree with your other comment. I have never felt that Malaysian are bad people..far from it..they are extremely good people..very sincere, very honest, be they Malay, Chinese, Indian ..etc They are good people and I do have a lot of friends here and it is very easy to go on the street to ask for help. What Malaysian eat is of no concern to me. If they want to eat snake, frog or dog, they can eat this. I don’t really care.

I don’t think anyone can know for certain whether they will go to heaven or hell. Only Allah swt knows your final abode. What we can do is try our best and leave other thing in the hands of Allah swt

I do believe that you need ISA for certain circumstances for eg..gun smuggling or terrorist activities.

As for other Issue, If you think I am Malay so be it. :D But I am really truly not Malay. :) My parents are not Malay, I am not adopted and I don’t know anyone from my ancestor who is married to Malay. But If you think I am Malay so be it. They are cool people, nothing wrong with being a Malay.I tried telling you that my family are shia family. They have always been Shii since the beginning.

Peace brother.

Peace 2 u to Dear Zareen,

ok now it is clear to me that you are really not a malay, coz when i read ur email, u said that u did not want 2 be identified as a malay alas u would be in ISA and people would knock on ur door anytime in the nght. that pissed me off. Now, i dah sejuk, sesejuk salji di kutub, yelah i baru je pi sembahyang jumaat. i listened to the sermon about anti-hadees group, scary!

Rosley

yea, i do know ramai dah di ISA kan. But there are reasons and valid reasons too and not simply being shiah, u kena jail/ISA. It is simply not true. Depa mesti dah buat something like AlArqam, KMM, JI. Think!

So Zareen,

sorry again, dan wish u all d best with ur dearest hubby and may Allah rewards u with triplet. And are u m'sian?

UmHasan,

any particular incidences that u would like to share with us?

My Dr is really retiring in few weeks time. Wish he could extend it!

    • That is a good comment. Thanks for the points. First of all one user said that since eastern men think western women are freer, they are sinful. I did NOT mean that kind of freedom. It doesn't matter whether you are western or eastern. If you're Muslim, you won't do that. I mainly focused on freedom in working, money, and freedom in social interactions. These freedom I think does not attach man and woman to each other like before. For example, in SOME parts of eastern countries, man and woman are so dependent on each other. When you look at it, you see that they have some sort of limitations on their social interactions and give higher priority to family. You see that they spend MORE time than most western families with their family. I think one of the things that helped into these form of families is that wife is householder. She kept her husband around herself, and man became attracted and dependent on her. In western culture I think men at work are in contact with women. They are not Muslim and this is some sort of deterioration for his family base. Because he sees other women without Hijab, and if he doesn't follow religion correctly, he goes back home at night and compares his wife with his female colleagues (I know it's disgusting). These social interactions does not attach man and woman to each other in a proper way, and I think it is an introduction to freedom. I think it gives you this freedom to spend more time than before with your colleagues rather than your wife. Let me tell you from my experience of Iran. I personally cannot imagine that spending time with my friend is more enjoyable than my wife. I do know that other Iranian people have similar orientation if they are religious and did not have boy/girl friend in the past. I personally support women who work in companies with Hijab. It's some sort of advertisement and creates a good picture of Islam. About your idea on desi people, I think it's true to some of them. I also have this feeling towards them but not all. I asked my friend who is Indian: "do you like to support your wife financially if she wants to be house wife?" He said NO. That was surprising to me. He said she needs to work and earn money. I don't want to do that. When I said cultural differences, I mainly meant this 50-50 culture that man and woman are both responsible and working.
    • That's a Catholic thing. Protestant churches have an empty cross. Nobody worships it as a God. It is a symbol, a reminder. The Israelites were into idols, they made many graven images, including a golden calf, they worshiped as a god.
    • The Wahhabi phenomenon only occurred 120 years ago, prior to the creation of the wahhabis, Shia's were still persecuted by the mainstream Sunnis.
    • It is important that the readers also understand the sequences  that lead up to saqifa. 1) The calamity of pen and paper, Umar denying Rasulullah (pbuh@hf) to write a will for the Ummah. 2) Close companion of Rasulullah (pbuh@hf) not joining the battalion Usama. 3) Did Rasulullah (pbuh@hf) call Abu Bakr to lead the prays?  4) Where was Abu Bakr when Rasulullah (pbuh@hf) had called him? 5) Umar denying that Rasulullah (pbuh@hf) died. 6) Umar in state shock then suddenly runs of to Saqifa. 7) Senior companions not attending the burial of the Prophet (pbuh&hf)   These are some of the events that lead up to Saqifa, and are recorded in Sunni Sahih books.
    • Did anyone in the Uk watch the show The Truth About Muslim Marriages (that could also have been called why women have no brain) Thoughts?
