  2. Many people have claimed some kind of divine revelation throughout history, so in that respect Muhammad is no unique. I want to know your reasons for choosing Islam over any other religion, and why I should chose it. Why should we believe in Muhammad over Zoroaster, or Buddha, or Mani, or Joseph Smith, or Ellen G. White? How is Muhammad superior to these other "prophets"? How did he prove himself? What makes him unique?
  3. As-salamu alaikum, I'm looking for the best biography of the Prophet (PBUH&HF) written in or translated into English (from a Shia point of view). Which one(s) do you recommend?
  4. DOES THE QURAN DISRESPECT THE SAHABA? The verses of Quran address the companions (sahaba) of the prophet saww in different tone which include praising, warning and taunting that they may turn back from Islam. These are true facts which are exposed by the Quran for believers. The discussion on this matter is detailed below: 1. For the First Tone of Quran Praising the companions (sahaba) the following verses can be quoted: Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah ; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure. Their mark is on their faces from the trace of prostration. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers - so that Allah may enrage by them the disbelievers. Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward. (48:29) In the above verse Allah swt has mentioned that he has promised for those as given below: “Allah has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.” These are the companions who are believers and forgiveness and great reward (paradise) has been promised from them. The above verse indicates that this promise is only for the believers doing the righteous deeds and it excludes those who do not perform the righteous deeds. For this faction of the Companions promised paradise, Quran has more verses in their praise: But those who have believed and emigrated and fought in the cause of Allah and those who gave shelter and aided - it is they who are the believers, truly. For them is forgiveness and noble provision. The ones who have believed, emigrated and striven in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives are greater in rank in the sight of Allah . And it is those who are the attainers [of success]. Their Lord gives them good tidings of mercy from Him and approval and of gardens for them wherein is enduring pleasure. (9:21) These are those who believed in Allah swt, believed in the Prophet (PBUH&HF), and gave all they could for the sake of Islam. These are the highest in rank. These companions ALWAYS supported the Prophet and were WITH him. They never disobeyed him in every other issue, nor did they ever accused him of talking non-sense! (may Allah protect us). 2. For the Second Tone of Quran Warning the Companions (sahaba) the following verses are quoted: O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah , you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little. If you do not go forth, He will punish you with a painful punishment and will replace you with another people, and you will not harm Him at all. And Allah is over all things competent. (9;39) This is a clear indication that some of the companions were lazy during the call to Jihad and other activities, and, thus, deserved the above reprimand by Allah swt. This is not the only instance where Allah swt threatened to replace them: Here you are - those invited to spend in the cause of Allah - but among you are those who withhold [out of greed]. And whoever withholds only withholds [benefit] from himself; and Allah is the Free of need, while you are the needy. And if you turn away, He will replace you with another people; then they will not be the likes of you. O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not. But when they saw a transaction or a diversion, [O Muhammad], they rushed to it and left you (prophet) standing. Say, "What is with Allah is better than diversion and than a transaction, and Allah is the best of providers." (62:11) These are few verses where Quan has used Warning tone to address the believers who falls below to perform righteous deeds. 3. For the Third Tone of Quran Taunting the Companions (sahaba) who may turn away from the religion, the following verses are quoted: These are actually hypocrites (Al-munafiqeen) who were among the companions. The Quran has one complete Sura “Al-Munafiqqon, No. 63” to address them. Also, the following verses describe them: Muhammad is not but a messenger. [Other] messengers have passed on before him. So if he was to die or be killed, would you turn back on your heels [to unbelief]? And he who turns back on his heels will never harm Allah at all; but Allah will reward the grateful. (3:144) This verse was revealed when some of the companions ran away from the battle of Uhud, when they falsely heard that Prophet was killed. Although they were forgiven by Prophet later, but the above verse gives a possibility that some of the companions may abandon Islam if the Prophet (PBUH&HF) dies. But Allah swt makes exceptions: of the “grateful” ones. O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of a critic. That is the favor of Allah; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. (5:54) It is a known fact that the companions quarreled after the death of the Prophet (PBUH&HF), and wars were waged. The fact, again and again, that the companions were divided is illuminated by Allah swt in the following verse: And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful. And do not be like the ones who became divided and differed after the clear proofs had come to them. And those will have a great punishment. (3:104, 105) The above verse shows among the companion there were a group (Ummah) who will remain righteous. The verse emphasizes that this Ummah is AMONG THEM so it does not cover all of them. However. the latter part the verse describes the group who were turned back on their faith after the Prophet (PBUH&HF) died (Ref. Sahih Bukhari, Vol 8, Book 76, Hadith 585, English Translation). The verse indicates that on the Day of Judgment, there will be two factions: one with white-lit faces, and the other with black-lit faces; that's another hint that the companions will be divided. Here are some more verses from the Quran that address the group of companions who has been warned in the Quran for their actions: They swear by Allah that they did not say [anything against the Prophet] while they had said the word of disbelief and disbelieved after their [pretense of] Islam and planned that which they were not to attain. And they were not resentful except [for the fact] that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them of His bounty. So if they repent, it is better for them; but if they turn away, Allah will punish them with a painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter. And there will not be for them on earth any protector or helper. So He penalized them with hypocrisy in their hearts until the Day they will meet Him - because they failed Allah in what they promised Him and because they [habitually] used to lie. The bedouins (Arabs) are stronger in disbelief and hypocrisy and more likely not to know the limits of what [laws] Allah has revealed to His Messenger. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. Have you not seen those who claim to have believed in what was revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what was revealed before you? They wish to refer legislation to Taghut, while they were commanded to reject it; and Satan wishes to lead them far astray. In their hearts is disease, so Allah has increased their disease; and for them is a painful punishment because they [habitually] used to lie. Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before, and a long period passed over them, so their hearts hardened; and many of them are defiantly disobedient. (57:16) There may be some translations which state that the above verse is meant to address the Jews and the Christians. That is not true, because it contradicts the verse itself. First, Allah swt is addressing the companions and THEN comparing them to the Jews and the Christians. How then could it be that Allah swt tells the Jews and the Christians: " Has the time not come for those who have believed that their hearts should become humbly submissive at the remembrance of Allah..." and then tell them: "...and And let them not be like those who were given the Scripture before,..." Why would Allah swt compare the Christians (or the Jews) to themselves? No, and Allah swt doesn't contradict Himself Rather, the verse was revealed as a questioning by Allah swt regarding some of the Muhajiroon (the Immigrants), who 17 years after the Quran was revealed, had still not fully believed in their HEARTS. Allah swt as a result, showed disapproval. Again, at the end, Allah points out that among them are many defiantly disobedient. Conclusion: We have seen that Quran addresses the groups of companions (Sahaba) in different tones including praising, warning and taunting that they may turn away from religion. Thus in this manner when Quran categorizes the sahaba we believe that truth is revealed in Quran.

  8. The verse of Mubahila mentions the Nafs ie self / soul of the prophet saaw. فَمَنْ حَآجَّكَ فِيهِ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا۟ نَدْعُ أَبْنَآءَنَا وَأَبْنَآءَكُمْ وَنِسَآءَنَا وَنِسَآءَكُمْ وَأَنفُسَنَا وَأَنفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَل لَّعْنَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ {٦١} 003:061 Should anyone argue with you concerning him, after the knowledge that has come to you, say, ‘Come! Let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, our souls and your souls, then let us pray earnestly, and call down Allah’s curse upon the liars.’ From the recorded history of mubahila it is mentioned "In this way, the Prophet (S) challenged the Christians. The next day the Christian priests came out on one side of the field. Also on the other side, the Prophet came out of his house carrying al-Husayn in his arm with al-Hasan walking along with him while he was holding his hand. Behind him was Fatimah al-Zahra (sa), and behind her was ‘Ali, peace be upon them all. When the Christians saw the five pure souls, and how determined the Prophet is in his idea that he put the closest people to him at risk, the Christians were terrified and abstained from the proposed malediction (Mubahala) and submitted to a treaty with the Prophet (S). al-Suyuti who was a great Sunni scholar, wrote: In the above verse (3:61), according to what Jabir Ibn Abdillah al-Ansari (the great companion of the Prophet) said, the word "sons”refers to al-Hasan and al-Husayn, the word "women”refers to Fatimah, and the word "our selves”refer to the Prophet and ‘Ali. Thus ‘Ali is referred as "the self”of the Prophet (Nafs of the Prophet). Reference: al-Durr al-Manthoor by al-Hafidh Jalaluddin al-Suyuti, v2, p38 It follows that just as it is unlawful to seek to be superior to the Prophet, similarly it is unlawful to supersede ‘Ali (who is the "self”of the Prophet according to the words of Allah). Any one who presumed to supersede ‘Ali, was, in essence, presumed to supersede the Prophet! The following verse mentions again the Nafs ie soul of the Prophet saaw: 009:120 It is not fitting for the people of Madinah and the Bedouins around them to hang back behind the Messenger of Allah and prefer their own self to his self. That is because they neither experience any thirst, nor fatigue, nor hunger, in the way of Allah, nor do they tread any ground enraging the faithless, nor do they gain any ground against an enemy but a righteous deed is written for them on its account. Indeed Allah does not waste the reward of the virtuous. It forms clear instruction not to prefer any one over Imam Ali As who is declared as Nafs ie self / Soul of the prophet saaw. Any comments?

Only those who possess intellect take admonition 005:067 O Messenger! Communicate that which has been sent down to you from your Lord, and if you do not, you will not have communicated His message, and Allah shall protect you from the people. Indeed Allah does not guide the faithless lot. 047:003 That is because the faithless follow falsehood, and the faithful follow the truth from their Lord. That is how Allah draws comparisons for mankind. Thus it provides sufficient evidence that the believers follow that has been revealed and sent to the prophet saaw at Ghadeer and others do not. 13. It is sometimes considered in history that Ahl Albaayt AS had to face problems in their life after the prophet saaw. Imam Hassan AS was martyred by poison and Imam Hussain AS was martyred in Kerbela after 50 years of the Prophet saww demise.. But the fact is that the following events have been recorded in history for 70 days of the Life of the Prophet saww even that religion was made perfect by Allah swt: The days of Ghadeer 18 Zul hujjah to the death of the prophet saaw 28 Safar: 70 days 1. The Event of Ghadeer (as last of the event of Hajj of the prophet saaw) on which the religion was perfected The prophet reminded the ummah about two weighty things ie book of Allah and his Ahl albayt, Imam Ali AS was declared Mawla / Master of believers. 2. Usama army companions refused to proceed The event of Usama army where the prophet saaw ordered the companions to join it but many companions did not go 3. Three days before his death event of black Thursday Where caliph Umar told the companions to leave the prophet as Book of Allah was sufficient for him, The prophet saw was accused of saying nonsense. Naoozbillah 4. Death of the prophet saw by poison There are clear reports that tthe prophet was martyred because of the poison, many views are found on it in sunni and shia 5. Saqifa and the burial of the Prophet saw The prophet saw was not given ghusl nor buried but the companions gathered at saeqqfa the place used to gather in days of ignorance . They chose the caliph. after the prophet saaw while bani hashim were mourned and busyi n the ghusl and burial of the prophet saw 6. Subsequent event of Fadak The property of the Fadak was captured by denying the right of the inheritance of the daughter of the prophets saaw. The trends indicated in this history are sufficient to infer the events that lead the killing and martyring of the prophet saaw and his pure Ahl lbaayt including 11 imams who were martyred by sword or poison. Sad history of Islam, even Allah swt ordered to love the progeny of the prophet saaw. (An overview presented in short time drafting, sorry for any possible mistake) Comments are welcomed.
  14. The hadith of the prophet saw states that there will be 73 sects in his ummah and only one will be in paradise. Every sect believes in it and try to make a claim that they are that one sect. A. Sunni Hadith: Another Hadith is there in Hadith book Tirmdhi Hadith no 171 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said: There will befall my Ummah exactly (all those) evils which befell the people of Isra'il, so much so that if there was one amongst them who openly committed fornication with his mother there will be among my Ummah one who will do that, and if the people of Isra'il were fragmented into seventy-two sects my Ummah will be fragmented into seventy-three sects. All of them will be in Hell Fire except one sect. They (the Companions) said: Allah's Messenger, which is that? Whereupon he said: It is one to which I and my companions belong. (Tirmidhi Hadith No. 171) B- Shia Hadith: From Aboo Khaalid Al-Kaabulee (Kankar) from Abee Ja`far (عليه السلام): He said: (asked about the words) «God tells a parable in which there is a company of quarrelsome people and only one of them is well disciplined. Can they be considered as equal? » (39:39). He (عليه السلام) said: «The quarrelsome ones» are because the first ones gather the different ones in his leadership and they did la`nah (curse) and did bara’a (disassociate) from each other. «The well disciplined man» is the first in the matters of his right as well as his Shee`ahs (followers). Then He (عليه السلام) said: “The Jews after Moosa (عليه السلام) separated into 71 sects of which one is in Jannah (i.e. Heaven) and the (remaining) 70 sects are in the fire (i.e. Hell). And the Christians after `Eesa (عليه السلام) separated into 72 sects of which one sect is in Jannah and the (remaining) 71 (sects) are in the fire. And this Ummah after the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) separated into 73 sects and 72 sects are in the fire and one sect is in Jannah and from the 73 sects, 13 of the sects plagiarize/impersonate friendship and wilayah of us (the Imaams), and 12 sects from it are in the fire, and one sect is in Jannah, and the (remaining) 60 sects from the rest of the people are in the fire” Source: 1. Al-Haadee Al-Najafee said this hadeeth has a Mu`tabar (Valid/Esteemed) Isnaad à Mawsoo`ah aHaadeeth, vol. 8, pg. 399 As per shia hadith the followers of the 12 imams from the Ahl albayt, the prophet sawww, having their wilaya will be in paradise. C- The sunni hadith about the companions if verified against the verses of Quran we get this evidence that Quran addresses the companions of the prophet in different manner and categorizes them in three groups: 1. The First group addressed by Quran as believers, and they are righteous. Quran praises them. 2. The Second Group addressed by Quran as believers and they are not sincere in their actions. Quran warns them. 3. The Third Group addressed by Quran who are hypocrites (Munafiqeen) among sahaba they may turn away from religion. Quran taunts them. The detail can be seen at the given link: http://www.shiachat.com/forum/topic/235015369-does-the-quran-disrespect-the-sahaba/ I like to quote here the hadith of two weighty things as per view of by shia and sunni: 1- Shia View: Two weighty things: book of Allah swt ie quran and the Ahl albayt of the prophet. 2- Sunni view: Two weighty things: book of Allah swt ie quran and the sunnah (sayings and actions) of the prophet. The first hadith has also been narrated in Sahiheen books including Sahih Muslim. The comparison of both the hadith provides the evidence that the true sunna comes through Ahl albaayt alone. D- Similarly it can be derived from the comparison of both versions of hadith mentioned for 1 out of 73 sects that the rightful companions who are followers of Ahl albayt can be considered among one saved group. But have we should try to verify this assumption based on hadith further in the light of Quran. The Quran does mention that there is everything existing in Quran so we need to think on it in a logical manner: Also the criterion of hadith is considered as Quran. The hadith does mention about 73 sects. There is only one Sura in the Quran that has 73 verses alone. The name of the Sura is Alahzab. Ahzab means the groups (or it may be taken as sects). There is need to further study to get if we can get truth by this Sura. E- As the quran mentions in many verses to follow the prophet saaw, so I try to get the word Rasool ie prophet saw from this Sura. This word has been repeated 14 times in 12 verses. These are mentioned below: The word Rasool mentioned in Sura Ahzab, 14 times in 12 verses. F- The Arabic word used for the prophet saww is “Nabi” ٱلنَّبِىُّ that is also used for our prophet saw. It has been mentioned in the following verses of Sura Alahzab. The word Nabi has also been repeated 14 times again in 12 verses. This shows the importance mentioned by quran associated with the prophet the number 14 and number 12. G- Importance of thinking on the verses of Quran: 1. Then do they not reflect upon the Qur'an? If it had been from [any] other than Allah , they would have found within it much contradiction. 2. [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 3. That is [deserved by them] because Allah has sent down the Book in truth. And indeed, those who differ over the Book are in extreme dissension.(2:176) H- From the hadith of the prophet saaw there will be 12 imams /successors after him from his progeny ie Ahl albayt the names of those include: The first one is Imam Ali and last ie 12th one Imam Al Mahdi. Many hadith from shia and sunni sources provide this evidence. Now there is only one verse out of 73 verses where the Ah albaayt including the prophet saw has been addressed. That’s know as the verse of purification (33:33). This is the similarity that has been exhibited by the words of the prophet saw in his hadith ie 1 out of 73 sects. The hadith of thaqlayn clearly mentions about following the two weighty things ie book of Allah swt and Quran and they are not separated. The verse of purification addresses those purified Ahl albayt in this verse. I- We need to verify it further that the number 12 and 14 is related to these imams in this sura. I like to quote from the sources the names of 14 individuals including the prophet saaw mentioned by hadith given below: قلت : نعم یا رب ۔ فقال لی : التفت عن یمین العرش ۔ فالتفت فاذا انأ بعلی و فاطمۃ و الحسن و الحسین و علی بن الحسین و محمد بن علی و جعفر بن محمد و موسی بن جعفر و علی بن موسی و محمد بن علی و علی بن محمد و الحسن بن علی و المھدی فی ضحضاح من نور ، قیام یصلون و ھو فی و سطھم یعنی المھدی ۔ یضی کانہ کوکب دری۔ فقال : یا محمد ھو لأ الحجج و ھو الثا ٔر من عترتک ، فو عزتی و جلالی انہ النا صر لاو لیا یٔ ، و المنتقم من اعدایٔ و لھم الحجۃ الواجبۃ و بھم یمسک اللہ السماوات ان تقع علی الارض الا باذنہ ۔ Ahmed b Muhammad b Ubaidillah Al-Hafiz narrated from Ali b Sinan Al-Mousili from Ahmad b Muhammad Al-Khalili Al-Amoli, from Muhammad b Saleh, from Sulaymaan b Ahmad, from Ziyad b Muslim, from Abdul Rahman b Yazid b Jabir, from Salaam from Abi Salama, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (saww) say: On the night of Meraaj, Allah asked me, “Did the messenger believe in what was revealed to him from his Lord?” I said “Yes”, And the believers believed in Allah, His angels, His books and His messengers.” Allah said “You are right”. Then Allah asked, “ Who did you choose as a successor?” I said, “The best of my nation”.Allah asked “ Do you mean Ali bin Abi Talib”? I replied, “ Yes, O Allah”. Then Allah said: O Muhammad! I looked at all of My creation and I chose you from among all of them. Then I derived a name for you from My name. Therefore, it is not permitted that anyone mention Me without you with Me. My name is Mahmoud and your name is Muhammad. Then I looked again (at all of My creation) and I chose Ali, and I derived a name for him from My name. So My name is Ali, the extremely high, and his name is Ali. O Muhammad I created you, Ali, Fatima, Hassan, Hussain and the rest of Imams from Hussain’s sons from My own light. Then I asked all of my creations in the skies and the earths to accept your Wilayat. I consider those who accept it as believers, and I consider those who refuse it as Kafirs. O Muhammad! If a slave from among My slaves worships me until he is torn and nothing is left from him, but he refuses to accept your Wilayat, Ali’s Wilayat, and the Wilayat of the Imams from his sons, I will not accept him or forgive him until he accepts your Wilayat, Ali’s Wilayat and the Wilayat of the Imams from his sons. Then Allah asked me, “O Muhammad, would you like to see them?” I replied. “Yes, O Allah”. Allah said, “Look to the right of the Throne.” Then I looked and I saw Ali, Fatima, Hassan, Hussain, Ali bin Hussain’ Mohammad bin Ali, Jaafar bin Muhammad, Musa bin Jaafar, Ali bin Musa, Muhammad bin Ali, Ali bin Muhammad, Hassan bin Ali, and the Mahdi. They were surrounded by light and they were standing and praying to Allah. Mahdi was in the center and he was shining like a brilliant star. Then Allah said: O Muhammad, they are My decisive proofs, and Mahdi will take revenge on My behalf. I swear by My Magnificence, he supports My friends and takes Revenge on My enemies. Following them and accepting their Wilayat is WAJIB (obligatory) on everyone. With My permission they prevent the skies from Falling on the earth. Reference: 100 Virtues of Imam Ali AS and his sons by Ibne Shazan - Bihar ul Anwar, V27 p199 h27 and others. J- Thus 14 names as mentioned in the hadith can be written as : 1. The prophet Muhammad saaw 2. Fatima SA 3. Imam Ali AS 4. Imam Hassan AS 5. Imam Hussain AS 6. Imam Ali bin Hussain AS 7. Imam Muhammad bin Ali bin Hussain AS 8. Imam ja’far bin Muhammad AS 9. Imam Musa bin ja’far AS 10. Imam Ali bin Musa AS 11. Imam Muhammad bin Ali AS 12. Imam Ali bin Muhammad AS 13. Imam Hassan bin Muhammad AS 14. Imam Muhammad (Mahdi) bin Hassan AS K- The verses of purification that mentions the Ahl albayt can be written in Arabic text below: إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنكُمُ ٱلرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ ٱلْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًۭا {٣٣} Indeed Allah desires to repel all impurity from you, O People of the Household, and purify you with a thorough purification. (Last part 33:33) The aerobic text provides the evidence that the text has been structured using exactly 14 Alphabets that have dots. These are mentioned below for clarity as quoted In the above verse in red colour: ن ی ی ی ز ب ن ج ب ی ت ی ت ی The total alphabets in this verse including the 14 with dots are counted as 47. So the Ahl al bayt are connected to the number 47 as given below: ا ن م ا ی ر ی د ا ل ل ہ ل ی ز ہ ب ع ن ک م ا ل ر ج س ا ہ ل ا ل ب ی ت و ی ط ہ ر ک م ت ط ہ ی ر ا. L- If we carry on and look the Sura number 47 placed in the Quran every one with receptive mind is surprised to know that the name of this Sura is Muhammad . This is the name of the prophet saw thus confirming that the verse of purification has a central place to exhibit the 14 infallibles including the prophet chosen by Allah swt. No one else has this respect and virtues. M- The Quran mentions in its many verses for the believers to Obey Allah swt and the Prophet saaw. يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَطِيعُوا اللَّـهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَلَا تُبْطِلُوا أَعْمَالَكُمْ ﴿٣٣﴾ Does this has any numerical connection? We need to verify it before we go any further: The Quran has one Sura for explaining the specific concept of Tauheed / oneness of Allah swt. This is named as Sura Tauheed / Al Ikhlas, it is placed at number 112. It has 4 verses. The Arabic text of these 4 verses is quoted below: قُلْ هُوَ ٱللَّهُ أَحَدٌ {١} ٱللَّهُ ٱلصَّمَدُ {٢} لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ {٣} وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌۢ {٤} The separate alphabets of these verses are given below: ق ل ہ و ا ل ل ہ ا ح د۔ ا ل ل ہ ا ل ص م د۔ ل م ی ل د و ل م ی و ل د ۔ و ل م ی ک ن ل ہ ک ف و ا ا ح د۔ And another astonishing truth comes here that he sum of the alphabets in these verses is exactly 47. The above provides the numerical evidence of the verses that obeying Allah swt means to obey the prophet saw and these concepts of obeying are linked with the numeral 47. The above discussion provides the evidence that obeying is linked with numeral 47: - Obeying Allah swt linked with numeral 47 - Obeying the prophet Muhammad saw likned with numeral 47 - Similarly Obeying Ahl Albayt is linked with numeral 47 (verse of purification is the evidence) N- Is there any verse that provides the Obeying three in numbers? Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those vested with authority among you. And if you dispute concerning anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you have faith in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more favourable in outcome. First part of the verse is taken for research and is mentioned below: The first part of the verse mentions three types who are to be obeyed: Allah swt, the Prophet Muhammad SAWW and Ulil Amr. This part of verse has 14 dots in it. This is the proof coming from the hadith of the prophet Muhamamd saaw to follow Quran and Ahl albayt. The above verse mentions the three obeying and the discussion has provided the evidences that these linked to numeral 47 alone. O- Further verses of Quran: Sura Al-Qamar, verse 17. And We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? It is stated in the Quran that: i) Sura Sad, verse 29. “This is the Blessed Book that we have revealed to you, (O Muhammad), that people with understanding may reflect over its verses and those with understanding derive a lesson” Conclusion: That’s is the true interpretation of the hadith of 1 saved group / sect out of 73 sects in the light of the verses of Quran and their analysis as conducted above. The result we can mention the saved sect follows the Ahl albayt including 14 infallibles alone. wasalam
  15. How do I combat the issue of non-Muslims always telling me that Prophet Muhammed (saww) was a warlord and used to engage in offensive warfare and raid caravans? I am Muslim myself but I don't have enough knowledge about this topic and I have a hard time finding anything about it online. Would appreciate any scholarly article links and such. Also I have an article on Aisha being actually at least 19 and NOT 9 or 7 or 8 or 6 when she got married that I can post but if anyone wants to give me more sources I would appreciate it. Thank you and al salamu alaykum
  16. Why do some Shias say Ya Ali Madad Do you not seek guidance strictly from Allah as Rasulalah s.a.w did the same. Ali a.s was a human being and not a Wahi since Prophet Mohammad s.a.w is the final Messenger. What is the belief behind this chant
  17. The purpose of the thread is to analyze the differences between Sahabi / companions of the prophet saww and the members of the Ahl albayat in academic manner. Few are outlined below: 1- The members of the Ahl albayat of the prophet saww are covered by the prophet under the cloak / kissa. while no companion / sahabi can come under it 2. The members of Ahl albayat are taken alone by the prophet saww in Mubahila against the Christians and no companion / sahabi can come with the prophet for such representation 3. The members of Ahl albayat are never separated from quran but the companions / sahabi do not have such affiliation with the quran 4. The members of Ahl albayt alone can come at the back of the prophet in his prayer and companion / sahabi remain in their prayer behind the prophet saww as their Imam. ......Many more. Wasalam
  18. The following are wise teachings of Prophet Jesus(as) in the words of Prophet Muhammad and the Purified Imams. Jesus (as) said: Oh Apostles! How many lanterns have been extinguished by the wind and how many devoted servants of God have been destroyed by self-pride! (Mustadrak-al-wasail/ vol 1/ pg 139/ hadith 10) Jesus (as) said: Verily you will not attain that which you love except through having patience with that which you hate. (Mustadrak-al-wasail/ vol 2/ pg 425/ hadith 22) Jesus (as) was asked: Who taught you good manners? He replied: No one has taught me good manners. I saw the ugliness of ignorance and I put it aside. (Bihar-al-anwar/ vol 14/ pg 326/ hadith 44) Jesus (as) prepared some food for the Apostles. When they were done eating, he himself washed their hands. They said: oh spirit of God, it was our duty to wash your hands. Jesus (as) said: This I did so that you treat your disciples in the very same way. (Bihar-al-anwar/ vol 14/ pg 327/ hadith 42) Jesus (as) said: When a mule is left unridden, unworked and unloaded for a long time, its nature will change and will become bad tempered. Hearts are just the same, when they are not softened by the remembrance of death followed by the perseverance of worship, they will become rough and hardened. (Bihar-al-anwar/ vol 14/ pg 309/ hadith 17) God revealed to Jesus (as) : When I grant you a blessing, embrace it with humility so that I may complete it for you. (Bihar-al-anwar/ vol 14/ pg 328/ hadith 56) Jesus (as) told his disciples: Increase your actions in that which the fire does not consume. They then asked: And what is that? Jesus (as) replied: Good deeds. (Bihar-al-anwar/ vol 14/ pg 330/ hadith 65) Imam Sadiq (as) said: Jesus the son of Mary (as) said: One who lies much loses his worth. (Bihar-al-anwar/ vol 14/ pg 330/ hadith 69) Jesus (as) said: Do not take the world as a lord, for it will take you as a slave. (Bihar-al-anwar/ vol 14/ pg 327/ hadith 47) Jesus (as) said: The body of one who grieves too much will surely become ill. (al-Amali by Saduq/ pg 636/ hadith 853) Jesus (as) said: My servants are my two hands, my horse are my two legs,my bed is the hard earth, and my pillow is a rock. My source of heat in the winter is the light of the sun. I pass my nights while I don't have anything, I rise in the morning while I do not have anything. However, there is no one on the face of this earth that is richer than I am. (Bihar-al-anwar/ vol 14/ pg 239/ hadith 17) Jesus (as) said: The most wretched of people is he who is well-known for his knowledge and not for his actions. (Bihar-al-anwar/ vol 2/ pg 52/ hadith 19) Among the teachings of Christ (as) is the following: Blessed are you if when envied, cursed, backbitten and slandered, you are filled with delight. For verily your reward will become abundant in the heavens. (Tuhaf-al-uqul / page 501) Jesus (as) addressed a man saying: What is your profession? He said: I have taken up deep worship. Jesus asked : Then who provides your livelihood? He said: My brother does. Then Jesus said to him: Then your brother is a greater servant of God than you. (Tanbih-al-khawatir/volume 1/ page 65.) Imam Sadiq (as) said: Jesus the son of Mary said: I gave medicine to the sick and cured them by God's will. I gave sight to the blind and healed the leaper by Gods will. I tended to the dead and gave them life by God's will. I tended to the fool but I was unable to correct him. Jesus was then asked: Oh spirit of God! Who is a fool? Jesus replied: One who is enamoured with himself and his own ideas, who seas only himself in possession of every virtue, and who considers only himself as right and no one else. Such a person as this is a fool to whose cure there is no road. (Bihar-al-anwar/ vol 14/ pg 324)
  19. Salam to all! Can someone please help me clarify the age of Aisha during Nikah ceremony with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)?
  20. 1. The Prophet saww closed all the doors opening in the mosques except that of Imam Ali AS. The following hadith describe this closing of doors: Zaid b. Arqam narrates – Some companions had a path through the mosques one day the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said – Close all the doors except that of Ali. Zaid says that people [the companions whom we are told would accept any order of the Prophet (s.a.w.a.)] started speaking (against the order). Thus, the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) stood up and praised Allah and said – I have ordered to close all the doors except the door of Ali, by Allah! I have not closed anything nor opened but I have been ordered to do so and I obeyed. i. Musnad-o-Ahmad vol. 4, p. 329, tradition 19,502 – Imam Ahmed b. Riyaaz al-Nazarah vol. 4 p.136 2- The hadith in sunni books mention Imam Ali as ordinary person, The detailed analysis on the subject in the light of verses of Quran and hadiths of the prophet saww reveal that such hadith are fabricated by Ummayad and their followers just to degrade the image and status of Imam Ali AS and Ahl al bayat AS. The detail can be seen at the given link: 4. The verses of quran and hadith indicate that Imam Ali is Sideeq Akbar. The confirmation of the fact comes by the sayings of the prophet Muhammad saw by the following hadith: In: "Sun'an Ibn Maj'ah (سنن ابن ماجة)", By: Muhammad bin Yaz'eed Al-Qazwini Abu abdullah Bin Maj'ah (محمد بن يزيد القزويني أبو عبد الله ابن ماجة), Investigated by: Muhammad Fo'a'ad Ab'd Al-Baqi (محمد فؤاد عبد الباقي): Association: Da'ar I'h'ya Al-Kutub Al-I,miyah (دار إحياء الكتب العربية), volume #1, Page# 44, Narration# 120: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الرَّازِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ: أَنْبَأَنَا الْعَلَاءُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيٌّ: «أَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَأَخُو رَسُولِهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَنَا الصِّدِّيقُ الْأَكْبَرُ، لَا يَقُولُهَا بَعْدِي إِلَّا كَذَّابٌ، صَلَّيْتُ قَبْلَ النَّاسِ لِسَبْعِ سِنِينَ Told us Muhammad bin Isma'ail Al-Razi, said: told us Ubaidullah bin Musa said: informed us Al-Ala'a bin Sal'eh, from Al-Munhil, from Ab'ad bin Abdullah said: Said Ali (a.s): "I am the servant of Allah and the brother of his Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, and I am the greatest truthful (righteous) (Sideeq Al-Akbar), and no one says it after me, except a liar. In Al-Zawa'id, this is an Authentic (Sahih) Isn'aad/chain, and its men are trustworthy (thiqa'at). Narrated it Al-Hakim in his Mustadrak from Al-Mun'haal, and said: Authentic on the guidelines of Bukhari And Muslim. Thus confirming no one is Sideeq Akbar except Imam Ali AS. The following link describes the details based on the verses of Quran and hadith. 5.The reasons for the door of Imam Ali kept open in the mosque and other doors were closed are enforced by the hadith of the prophet saww as given below: a) The Prophet said, "The verse of purification was revealed concerning five people: myself, ALI, Hassan, Hussein, and Fatima." (Is'af Al-Raghibeen, p. 116; Sahih Muslim, Kitab Fada'il Al-Sahaba) b) The Prophet said, “The carrier of my flag in this life and the Hereafter is ALI.” (Kanz Al-Umal, 6/122; Al-Tabari, 2/201; Al-Khawarizmi, 250; Al-Fada’il of Ahmad, 253; Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 42/200) c) The Prophet said, “Every prophet has an executor and inheritor, and my executor and inheritor is ALI.” (Kanz Al-Umal, 6/158; Tarikh Baghdad of Al-Khateeb Al-Baghdadi, 11/173; Shawahid Al-Tanzil, 2/223; Yanabi' Al-Mawda, 94) a) The Prophet said, “We were created from the same tree, I and ALI .” (Al-Tirmidhi, 13/178; Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 122; Asad Al-Ghaba, 4/26; Al-Riyadh Al-Nudhra, 2/216) b) The Prophet said, “The most knowledgeable person in my nation after me is ALI .” (Manaqib Al-Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib of Ibn Al-Maghazeli Al-Shafi'i.) c) The Prophet said, “The first of you to reach the Pond is the first of you who accepted Islam: ALI.” (Kenz Al-Omal, 6/154; Al-Tabarani, 5/32; Al-Riyadh Al-Nudhra, 1/165; Dhaka’ir Al-'Aqil, 65; Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 230) d) The Prophet said, “No one is permitted on the Bridge except by the sainthood of ALI .” (Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 15; Al-Isti'ab, 2/457) e) The Prophet said, “There is a tree in Paradise called Tuba. Its roots are in the house of ALI, and its branches are ALI .” (Mustadrak Al-Sahihain of Al-Hakim Al-Nisabori, 3/109; Musnad Ahmad, 4/370; Al-Khasa’is of Al-Nisa’i, 25; Al-Tirmidhi; Al-Tabarani.) f) The Prophet said, “ALI is the distinguisher between truth and falsehood.” (Mustadrak Al-Sahihain of Al-Hakim Al-Nisabori, 3/132; Musnad Ahmad, 1/331; Yanabi' Al-Mawda, 92) g) The Prophet said, “The most righteous one is ALI .” (Al-Bayhaqi, 4/35; Kenz Al-Omal, 7/176; Al-Jami' of Al-Suyuti, 2/276; Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 93) h) The Prophet said, “The hand of ALI and my hand are equal in justice.” (Mustadrak Al-Sahihain of Al-Hakim Al-Nisabori, 3/14; Al-Tabari, 2/272; Al-Tirmidhi, 2/299; Ibn Al-Maghazali) i) The Prophet said, “ALI is my brother in this life and the Hereafter.” (Al-Khasa’is of Al-Nisa’i, 5; Al- Tirmidhi; Yanabi^ Al-Mawda, 61; Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 37; Yanabi' Al-Mawda, 57) j) The Prophet said, “ALI is to me what Harun was to Musa.” (Mustadrak Al-Sahihain of Al-Hakim Al- Nisabori, 3/137; Ibn Al-Maghazali, 65, 104; Al-Tabarani; HAliyat Al-Awliya’, 1/63; Akhtab Khawarizm, 229) k) The Prophet said, “ALI holds a right over this nation like the right of a father over his son.” (Muslim, 2/361; Al-Tirmidhi, 2/299; Al-Hakim, 3/130; Musnad Ahmad, 3/198; Al-Nisa’i, 7; Asad Al-Ghaba, 3/40) l) The Prophet said, “ALI is with the Qur’an, and the Qur’an is with Ali.” (Al-Bukhari, 5/19; Muslim, 2/360; Al-Tirmidhi, 5/304; Mustadrak Al-Sahihain of Al-Hakim Al-Nisabori, 3/109; Ibn Majah, 1/28; Musnad Ahmad, 3/328) m) The Prophet said, “Love for ALI is faith, and hatred for Ali is hypocrisy.” (Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 67; Al-Khawarizmi, 236; Fara’id Al-Samateen; Yanabi' Al-Mawda) n) The Prophet said, “The position of ALI amongst the people is like Surat Ikhlas in the Qur’an.” (Muslim, 1/48; Al-Tirmidhi, 2/299; Al-Nisa’i, 27; Musnad Ahmad, 6/299; Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 191) o) The Prophet said, “ALI is the beloved between two friends, myself and Ibrahim.” (Yanabi' Al-Mawda, 88; Fara’id Al-Samatin; Al-Abrar; Moniq Ibn Ahmad Al-Khawarizmi) p) The Prophet said, “Whoever splits with ALI has split with me, and whoever splits with me has split with God.” (Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 45; Yanabi' Al-Mawda, 181) q) The Prophet said, “ALI is from me and I am from him, and he is the protector of every true believer after me.” (Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 69; Yanabi' Al-Mawda, 125) r) The Prophet said, “ALI is the most beloved of God and His Prophet in all of creation.” (Kanz Al-Umal, 5/33; Al-Riyadh Al-Nudhra, 2/211; Ibn Al-Maghazali, 219) s) The Prophet said, “Mentioning ALI is a form of worship, and looking upon him is a form of worship.” (Mustadrak Al-Sahihain of Al-Hakim Al-Nisapuri, 3/123; Kenz Al-Omal, 6/156; Al-Tabarani; Ibn Al-Maghazeli, 240, 278; Al-Khawarizmi, 62) t) The Prophet said, “ALI stands in relation to me as my head to my body.” (Mustadrak Al-Sahihain of Al-Hakim Al-Nisabori, 3/141; Al-Jami^ of Al-Suyuti, 1/583; Tarikh Baghdad of Al-Khateeb Al-Baghdadi, 1/51; Hiliyat Al-Awliya’, 1/182; Al-Riyadh Al-Nudhra, 2/219) 6- The Prophet said, “ALI is the door of servitude, and whoever passes through that door is a true believer.” (Mustadrak Al-Sahihain of Al-Hakim Al-Nisabori; Kanz Al-Umal, 6/156; Al-Dilmi) 7- The Prophet said, “ALI is the door of my knowledge, and the one who will clarifies for my nation that which I was sent with.” (Tafsir Al-Tabari, 3/171; Shawahid Al-Tanzil, 2/356; Al-Darr Al-Manthour, 6/379; Yanabi' Al-Mawda, 61) Thus it is well proven that the Prophet saww never closed the Door leading to him. It also confirms that all the doors were closed except the Door of Imam Ali AS to the mosque.
