  1. Troubling videos

Salam, Thank you all for your responses. I know the video was originally posted by a Shia brother, but I've seen those antimajos videos quoting stuff out of context. They have used Sayed Kamal actually to try to disprove Imam Zamana's (ajfs) birth, but I found the original video. I think the original video was how the chain method weakened most hadiths of his birth or something like that. Thank you again and may Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى bless you all and your families.
  2. Salam brothers and sisters, I really didn't know where to go with this but I witnessed a video recently online from the Pearls of Islam channel. It's not a nasibi or anti-shia channel but it does have sone contenet that speaks negative of other peoples marji's. I saw a video recently posted of Sayed Kamal Haydari. At first in the video he shows the Sayed cutting off a hadith from Rasulallah (sawa) and than what really bothers me is there is Sayed Kamal being recorded in a private lesson yelling about being questioned about the "asceticism" of Imam Ali (as). Finally the ending of the video is from one of the Sayed's t.v.shows speaking about the asma of the Imams and he says this was a later concept developed by Shaykh Saduq and than Sayed Murtadah the following century. If any of my brothers or sisters could view this video and verify it for me and also explain if Sayed Kamal Haydari does not believe in asma than what the heck is going on in the our madhab? Why would he claim in the video asma of the Imams (as) is a later fourth century concept. I mean no disrespect to anyones scholars but this troubled me since it seems like there is a lot I don't know about the Sayed's views, or if many many scholars have these views. The person who made the video also claims the Sayed is trying to reform our madhab with these views. Any input would be appreciated because I'm a lonely Shia and have no one really to ask.
  3. Islamic Medicine Channel

Thank you so much my Sister. May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى reward you for all the work you do to help people on SC. I have like a small flag or banner thing of ayatul Kursi hanging by my bed and my cousin actually just brought me a silver necklace with it on it from Dubai. I wonder how many more people get sleep paralysis? I've seen a few people, but it's sometimes really hard to explain. Shukran Sister, and I'll keep you in my duas!
  4. Islamic Medicine Channel

Salam alaikum, to make this short my health isn't great. The major issue is I have narcolepsy with cataplexy. It started when I was young and would get sleep paralysis all the time which is very frightening. My muscles get weak sometimes too. I've been monitored or tested at sleep clinics and I'm being treated with prescription meds and seeing a specialist for this issue. There is not much I can do about it. I have been curious if any hadiths exist from Ahlulbayt (as) explaining sleep paralysis or narcolepsy symptoms? I would imagine there has to be narrations explaining sleep paralysis since even some regular people will experience it a few times in their life. My Sito would read for me certain ayahs or duas and than blow on me, but that was a long time ago. She knew what I was trying to explain opposed to doctors when I was a kid There is just a horrible sinister feeling and sometimes visuals of scary stuff. If you go into too much detail explaining it, people just think your crazy.
  5. Social anxiety

Salam my Brother, I would like to relate to you a similar issue I have. I never use to be that shy or have much anxiety. In fact I was a reckless skateboarder til my early 20s. I use to be afraid to sleep because I've had sleep paralysis since I was a child. After many years and sleep studies they dianosed me with Narcolepsy and Cataplexy while I was in college. I just couldn't handle the embarassment of always passing out, being either up or down, and paranoia of falling asleep. The worse part is explaining narcolepsy to people like Professors or friends who already have misconceptions about the illness. With all the medication plus physical pain, because I have spinal stenosis and diabetes also, I left College and had to move back home. I couldn't take care of my clumsy self anymore. One of the treatments for narcolepsy comes to me from the fda to my house. It help's my REM sleep and grow muscle tone in my sleep. It has to be administered twice a night. I feel ashamed because I should be taking care of my parents but instead they've been helping me and making sure I take my meds and health seriously. The whole experience brought me closer to Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. One day after fajr, I was feeling bad for myself and than I saw a racoon out the window. I started crying because I remembered a story of our master Imam Musa Kadhim (as) being in that narrow prison where he would get hit in the face just to try to see day light. I felt so ungrateful because I atleast had family and support.. Please try therapy with maybe anxiety meds. I know it's hard and I feel ashamed of RX controlled substances in my system that I have to take to function, but Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى would never put you through something you can't handle or learn from. Don't be like me 30years old with regrets, probably will never get married, and let my health get worse. If you get support maybe it will be easy. Because of my status I always ask Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى please give me a purpose that would please you and benefit Islam because I feel like I failed his tests and waisted my chances. INSHALLAH you'll be fine, and just remember it's not Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى doing this, infact your in a war against Iblis whose trying to make you fail and give in.
  6. Vision of Putin & Trump

Salaam, I sometimes on youtube watch people like Ken O'Keefe who always gives a great historical or political analysis. However, this one dude named Brendon O'Connell was in Iran I think last month and has made a few videos claiming how everything is a show. He likes to speak out about the Talmudic Jewish Superiority and wanted to have a confrence, but he says the "Rouhani" and remaining "Rasfajani" people are putting on a show and how Iran needs Mahmoud Ahmadinejad back. He also claims the satelites for Press TV are own by Persian Jews. The one important thing he is saying is Putin and Netanyahu control Trump, and eventually Putin will betray the Muslims. The Russian Orthodox Christians hate Muslims and he said eventually they will take out Hezbollah and set up a Russian Orthodox State in Southern Lebanon. The Russian Orthodox Christian "Mafia" with dual Israeli/Russian citizenship supposedly hate Muslims more than the Israeli Jews. Ha it's sad, but if this is true than Imran Hossein's theory for years is destroyed. Anyways, has anybody checked Brendon O'Connell's channel and seen what he's claiming about Iran putting on a show or working with the enemies? The Putin/Netanyahu business connection is true and plus Israel got away with violating airspace in Syria a lot. The occupied Golan Heights has a company called "Genie Energy" owned by Jacob Rothschild, Ruport Murdock, Richard Cheney and many other shaitan. I'm Lebanese, I'm not the biggest fan of absolute wilayatal faqih, but I admire Iran's goverment and they're good people. It just kind of raised some doubts or concerns. Anyone think Putin is playing both sides and will show his true colors after Daesh and al Nusra are extinct? And or if Iran and Hezbollah are aware?
  7. Instruments in house?

Thank you brother. I appreciate the answer. I usually have always refered to Sayed Sistani anyway so this makes me feel better.....Salaam
  8. Instruments in house?

Thank you for your response brother. I haven't touched the instruments in a long time, but ignorance in my youth has led me to this situation where I'm living in a house full of instruments put away gathering dust. I usually follow rulings from Sayed Sistani, but Sayed Shirazi's ruling makes sense. I have to say it is a very confusing situation for me since Sayed Sistani and others say some types of music are allowed as long as it's not for entertainment, like songs to "boost morale for soldiers." So if some say certain songs are allowed and not for entertainment, it is just a vague or confusing statement for me..... I'm not trying to listen to or play anything, I'm just worried of possessing the instruments.....Salaam
  9. Instruments in house?

Salam, I know Music and instruments are haram or some opinions differ where some say it depends on the type of music. I grew up where in school you had to learn music and than choose from playing instruments by itself or singing music when we got older in school. I read a hadith from Wasa'il ul-Shia recently that is making me nervous and putting me in a predicament. Amir ul-Mu’minīn ‘Ali (a.s.) says, “Angels do not even enter a house that has wine, drum, tambourine or a flute. Even the prayers of the inhabitants of this house are unacceptable. They are deprived of barakat.”7 I don't listen to or play Music anymore and only publicly played Music while being in middle school until I graduated highschool when it was required, so it's been years. Obviously I wasn't raised knowing this about instruments and never played publicly for myself but did play Music for myself (not singing) for many years as a hobby. I do have drums, 2 pianos, and 4 guitars in my house. What do I do? You're not supposed to sell them either I think Ayatollah Shirazi says.. As long as they are put away and not being used am I ok? I usually don't ask questions here, but I think I need more dialouge with fellow Shia since I have many other questions that are not clear cut...Shukran
  10. Dude, that's cool and all you read Sheikh Saduq and I appreciate your open mind. Before I reply to your comment about what you were asking about 12 Imams, Idk how you can consider Muawiyya a Muslim when he fought the Imam of his time, started the cursing of Imam Ali (as) on the pulpit, and prayed Juma prayer on Wednesdays and so on. Anyways AhlulSunnah believes in 12 Imams too so idk how you haven't come across that in your research: Narrated Jabir ibn Samura: I heard the Prophet (s) saying: "There will be Twelve Commanders." He then said a sentence which I did not hear. My father said, the Prophet added, "All of them will be from Quraysh."[Sahih al-Bukhari (English), Hadith: 9.329, Kitabul Ahkam; Sahih al-Bukhari, (Arabic), 4:165, Kitabul Ahkam] The Prophet (s) said: "The Religion (Islam) will continue until the Hour (Day of Resurrection), having Twelve Caliphs for you, all of them will be from Quraysh." [Sahih Muslim, (English), Chapter DCCLIV, v3, p1010, Tradition #4483; Sahih Muslim (Arabic), Kitab al-Imaara, 1980 Saudi Arabian Edition, v3, p1453, Tradition #10]
  11. I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy and Cataplexyin 2008, but it started with sleep paralysis ever since I was a child. Usually sleep paralysis is experienced by eveyone once or twice, but if more it is usually the early signs of Narcolepsy, although some people with extreme anxiety can have it happen. The Excessice day time sleep, sleep paralysis, hypnogogic hallucinations, and cataplexy are the main symptims. Not everyone gets cataplexy though which causes limp muscles and fainting, because your body doesnt allow you to grow muscle tone in my sleep. There is no cure, but I recieve an at home treatment from the FDA for my situation. It's availble only in N. America and I think maybe UK, however it's a highly controlled drug only made legal to treat people with these symptoms and it shows improvements. You have to qualify for it and my situaution required me to move back home from my University. They give you stuff to balance to take a stay awake stimulant drugs during the day. Everyday I feel ashamed that I have to take this garbage and be watched by my brother or mom since the treatment is twice a night dosing plus other pills. The best thing to do is hang an ayat al kursi talisman above your bed, sleep on your right side, and a Sheikh said the best prescription is Ziyarat Ashura. The Zulfigar talisman Sword of Imam Ali (as) is good to have since one blade represents him fighting the inns and the other is for battling the jinns. The best advice I can give when you can't move is to ignore anything or anyone you see, because they appear to you as imposter family members or friends while your laying there. No matter how hard it is to move your mouth scream auzzibillahi minnash shairan rajeem or Surah al Nas.
  12. Salamu Alaikum, The second picture I have looks like a table of contents and on the top of the page it says "al khata wa sawab" and then chapters with page numbers, but I think that it's just a part of the book. I am aware of the meaning "al khata wa sawab" but that is not the title of this book. Inshallah I will type out the rest of what I can identify on the front of the book in Arabic. Some parts are just hard to make out since it's so old. If someone is interested in helping me identify this old book my email is bdabagia@gmail.com since I am new member and can't post pics. I'm really am truly sorry if I'm being annoying for posting about this.
  13. I fit the top part of the title of the kitab as my cover photo on my profile since it still won't let me me insert the attachment. Can anybody take a look at my cover photo to see if they can read that title? Thank you very much and I do apologize if this got annoying.
  14. I clicked on Insert other media and than insert existing attachment and than this pops up : The page you are trying to access is not available for your account.
