  1. According to my marja' (Sayyed Fadlallah), it's okay to listen to certain types of music as long as the requirements of it being halal are met (E.g. it's not party music, or as another example it helps you focus more). Personally, I listen to alot of study music mainly due to the fact I can't focus at all while studying, even if there isn't any background noise. Listening to it has considerably improved my focus anywhere I go, even during class. For anyone that's confused: Hope this helps.
  2. Thank you, may God bless all of you.
  3. @sakura1994 Never got tired from arguing!
  4. Can you please give a generalisation of what he said? Thank you. Salam.
  5. I have recently done a minor surgery on my forehead and since I can't make it tahir I'm confused of what I should do. Salam.
  6. Thank you.
  7. As far as I know a poster cannot edit their post after 1 hour has passed, a mod can edit though. Salam.

  9. If you're anxious then surely you have questions that you can't or don't know how to answer, try and learn more about the topics that are causing anxiety within you & look at scientific proofs in Islam through the links of brother @sefket83 before that. Enforcing the mindset of "I know it's true but I want to know more" is better than "I don't have any proof if Islam is actually the truth". Read hadiths but if you're lazy like me then read SC topics that you can learn from and watch lectures through Youtube, I suggest that you watch Sayyed Ammar Nakshawani if you like English lectures. Ofcourse waswasa isn't always reasonable so your best solution can also be to simply ignore it as brother @gerashi_mp suggested. Hope this helps. Salam.
  10. Really, No one younger than 18?
  11. What I know is that you can learn Persian there but I'm not sure if you can study Arabic there so another member will have to answer the question. I don't think there's an age limit but what I learned from people in SC is that it's better if you have taken atleast 1 year of hawza if you're 25 or less, and as far as I know you need to atleast finish school before joining a hawza. "Otherwise, the normal (long) process is to apply at Jamiatul Mustafa with their application form: http://en.miu.ac.ir/ Admission information: http://miu.ac.ir/index.aspx?siteid=4&fkeyid=&siteid=4&pageid=36997 Actual application website: http://sampa.miu.ac.ir/Registration/Home.aspx (if you do this in Farsi, I heard your form is processed faster)." Post is by Ibn al-Hussain. Hope I helped. Salam.
  12. Other sects don't have wahhabism and wahabis acting as their spiritual leaders, and alot of Sunnis get taught to hate Shi'ites (+other sects too maybe) so that's a cause and motivation for the illiterate and ignorant to go for "jihad" and fight the non existent infidels in areas like Syria and Iraq. Salam.
  13. I heard of something about Indians but tbh the Masjid even showed us a video of them removing the liquid and afterwards it'd come back on the wall after swiping it without the liquid getting lower in quantity. Allah (swt) 2a3lam either way. But may I ask where I can read a news article about it? I'm curious. Salam.
  14. Is this real life? The site is finally back !
  15. I remember I had a shady dream that it came back but nope.
  16. I don't know you but I miss you too! I just noticed that the title has a typo but who cares? Salam.
  17. Yet I wonder how people who deviated claim that we're misguided.
  18. Insha'Allah I'll be going to Karbala and Najaf in Muharram, you reminded me about a user in SC and how a flag or banner in his/her house bled when they had a really bad throat sickness, after rubbing their face with the blood the sickbess disappeared the next day.
  19. Can you tell me the verse of the spherical Earth? Salam.
  20. Just kidding you'll like it here salam.
  21. May I ask what other religions did you practice? Salam.
  22. Don't be a typical newb. Salam.
  23. The Quran has never been changed, assuming that you've read it can you tell me which verse(s) are wrong? The Bible is literally in the same case that you mentioned in your post, I don't see you complaining about it. Salam.
  24. That doesn't necessarily mean it's flat at all, can you tell me where you found the verse? The Quran also says: "And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out)." The Holy Qur'an, Chapter 71, Verse 19 That doesn't mean it's a carpet. Also, will you make another excuse to refute this verse: “It is Allah Who has created seven heavens and of the earth the like thereof (i.e. seven). His Command descends between them (heavens and earth), that you may know that Allah has power over all things, and that Allah surrounds (comprehends) all things in (His) Knowledge.” [at-Talaaq 65:12]. Both the Earth and the sky have 7 layers, not to mention that hadith(s) also have a quote from and Imam (as) mentioning 7 seas, there are 7 seas by names. Salam.
  25. I have no devil still I deny the signs of Christianity. This is proof for me Bible is false. It doesn't make sense, when someone denies something without even trying to understand it then that's called being arrogant. The devil also causes arrogance within us. AFAIK everyone has their own devil so how can you assume that you don't have that? You're no better than anyone else. According to the *edited* Bible the Earth is flat, according to the Quran that has never been edited the earth is round. This is proof for me that the Quran is true while the Bible is corrupted. Salam.
