Alhamdullilah, due to recent work on the site/server, we were finally able to add the Quran feature. Now you can read, search and listen to Quran directly from ShiaChat.com. Simply slick on the "Quran" link and the rest is self explanatory.
Please report any errors to me.
Wa salam,
Ali

The recitation is beautiful
Al-thuthaifi's reading reminds me of Ramadhan.
Ofcourse, all credit goes to Br. Kemas Yunus, author of this script:

Its absolutely wonderful, thankyou! The layout is perfect
ws
shall be called away (by Allah) and I shall answer that call. I am
leaving for you two precious things and if you adhere both of them,
you will never go astray after me. They are the Book of Allah and my
progeny, that is my Ahlul-Bayt. The two shall never separate from each
other until they come to me by the Pool (of Paradise)."

Assalam alaykum,
JazakumAllahu alf khair to all those involved in putting this together. May Allah (swt) reward you guys infinitely.
Re. who the translation is by, I've just compared random translations from al-islam.org to the one's used for ShiaChat's on-line Qur'an and they match Pickthal's perfectly.

Looks wonderful. Mashallah. Is there a way you can have the Surat played continuously instead of clicking on each verse separately.
Thanks

But there's an issue with some of the audio it seems .. not all, but some. Some aya's aren't completed when I 'play' them.. For example, in Surat ar-Raad below, the aya finishes with "min rabbih" (up to the part that is in bold):
[13;27] Those who disbelieve say: If only a portent were sent down upon him from his Lord! Say: Lo! Allah sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth unto Himself all who turn (unto Him)
Has anybody else had this problem, or is the server on my end just slow today and therefore audio not connecting properly? (its def taking longer to load things..)

Salams,
It actually plays around 15 seconds of audio at a time and then goes to the next audio. For example, if it takes 30 seconds to read a longer audio, it'll recite the first 15 and automatically go to the next 15 seconds, but it'll def. read the entire ayah - I just tried. There is a second or 2 delay while it loads it though.

You guys rock
"My Lord! My Lord! My Master! My Protector!
For which things would I complain to You and for which of them would I lament and weep? For the pain and severity of chastisement? Or for the length and period of tribulation? So if you subject me to the punishments with Your enemies, gather me with the people of Your tribulation and separate me from Your friends and saints, then suppose my Llah, my Master, my Protector and My Lord, that I am able to endure Your Chastisement,
How can I endure separation from you?
And suppose that I am able to endure the heat of Your Fire,
How can I endure not gazing upon Your Generosity? Or how can I dwell in the Fire while my hope is Your pardon?
So by Your Might, my Master and my Protector, I swear sincerely if You leave me with speech, I will lament before You from the midst of the Fire's inhabitants with the lamentation of the hopeful;
I will cry to You with the cry of those crying for help; I will weep before You with the weeping of the bereft; and I will call upon You,
'Where are You, O Sponsor of the belivers, O Goal of the hopes of Your knowers! O Aid of those who seek assistance, O friend of the hearts of the sincere, and O Allah of all the world's inhabitants!' "
~ Excerpt from Dua Kumayl.
Read it. Every Thursday night.
