Salam Alaikum,

ShiaChat.com will be down and inaccessible for a period of 3 hours as we upgrade to the latest stable version of this forum software, IPB2.1.5.

During this period, ShiaChat.com will be shutdown and sometimes inaccessible due to the upgrade scripts running along with backups and restorations.  We expect the downtime to take around 3 hours if everything went well, however, might take quiet longer due to certain circumstances where we might see the site down for the entire day.

With that being said, I will try my best to give you all a 15 minutes head start to find another forum to spam before I shut this forum down.  I'm sorry I can't specify an exact time due to the inconsistencies of my own schedule, but we should be running on a new forum software with some new features going into the weekend.

Salams, and La3nas on the enemies of Ahlulbayt.

Salam Alaikum,

Alhamdullilah, the upgrade went great.  I'll soon be posting a topic mentioning some of the new features in this version.

As for the known issues:

1/ Main page looks weird.  This will be fixed soon inshallah
2/ Chatroom opens embedded within the site.  Simple open a new window and use that window to browse the site as browsing in the chat window will disconnect you from the chat.  This will be fixed soon.

Let me know if you find any other issues.

sorry to be a spoil sport but live chat is annoyin! - the screen is to big so u cant see all of it and also if pple arent logged in u cant tell they are in there.

also u can rate ur own post which kinda destroys the credibility of ratings in a way - i cud give all my posts 5 stars

Salams,

Ok, here is the explanation once and for all.

No one got any new warnings - i just had to readjust the percentages to reflect our "3 warnings and you're out" rule.  That is to say, if you have one warning, then you're at 33% because 1 out of 3 warnings is 33% of the warning.  2 is 66%, 3 is 99% or 100% (and then you're outtttt) :)

Inshallah that made sense.  The older system was based out of 10, which is why you had a lower percentage.

No one should worry about anything.  As for the sig. violation warnings, don't worr about those they're not serious.  I'm sure you can PM Ptari0t (yes, all 10,000 members should PM the patru0t) and have it removed ;)

Walaikum Assalam,
^Thanks Brother its clear now and my warning is not there any more.It was coz of the signature violation I think and u said no need to take it much seriously..phew~~ I m relaxed. :) Jazakallah.

Assalam alaykum,

JazakAllah.. looking pretty good.

There is one thing though.. the calendar features look great and its easier to navigate and move to different months/days but when there's more than one event for a date eg. here .. if you scroll down, you see that they are attached.. is there anyway this can change..? This time Ashoura and Muharram were connected but some events may not relate at all. I still prefer them seperate.. Visually it's a lot harder to take in everything thats there when it's joined. Whenever I do events I try to keep it to a minimum so that we're not having to scroll down as much on that one page.

Hope it's not too much trouble to change?
