"Whosoever died in love of the Household of Muhammad has died a martyr; Whosoever died in love of the Household of Muhammad has died in forgiveness; Whosoever died in love of the Household of Muhammad has died a believer and in the perfection of his faith." az-Zamakshari quoting the beloved Messenger S.A.W.

"Do not argue with the contentious, nor provoke them with words. Pause before those who interrupt and give way to those who verbally attack you. Sleep a night before speaking. For the unrestrained person is like a storm which bursts forth like a flame in a pile of straw." Selections from the Husia (Sacred Wisdom of Ancient Egypt) translated by Maulana Karenga

Asalaamu 3alaikom

I am in Lincoln Park Michigan.. Close enough 2 Dearborn for the religious aspect of it yet far enough away from the cultural aspect.

BTW ANOTHERUMMALI: Are you who I think you are?? I remember talking to you in another post but it seemed as if you were under a different id.

If you are who I think you are I still remember the red cabbage at ur house lol!

Every orphan who didn't have anyone to depend on,

Every father who couldn't get food for his children,

Every woman who was homeless,

Everybody who suffered and became shelter less,

All of them knew the way to Khadijeh's (S.A.) house and went there.

They took refuge in her kindness and wealth.

The sore hearts of those people were treated with her favour and grace."

nooo
It's so difficult not having a decent size shia community here.  I think there are only two other families in my area.  We have to go to detroit for 9th and 10th Moharrum...

"Know that - may Allah have mercy on you - you are living at a time when those who speak about right are few, when tongues are loath to utter the truth and those who stick to the right are humiliated. The people of this time are engaged in disobedience. Their youths are wicked, their old men are sinful, their learned men are hypocrites, and their speakers are sycophants. Their youngs do not respect their elders, and their rich men do not support the destitute."-Imam Ali (A.S.)

He it is Who has sent down to you (O Muhammad) the Book (the Holy Quran): In it are verses that are entirely clear; they are the foundation of the Book: while others are more difficult to understand. But those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part thereof that is difficult to understand, seeking discord, and searching for its hidden meanings, but no one knows its hidden meanings except Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: We believe in the Book; the whole of it is from our Lord: and none will grasp the Message except men of understanding. (Holy Quran 3:7)

Those who believe and do good deeds shall be blessed with joy, and a beautiful place of (final) return. (Holy Quran 13:29)
