And since I did not ask and you decided to blurt it all out, that makes you a very arrogant person. Oh no so thats 2 things now...not interesting and arrogant! Oh my god!!!!! I don't think he's upset with the jafa cakes...I think he's been having too little of them.

If you have something that says it has to be handwashed... Can you put it in the washing machine on gentle cycle and will it be ok?

Cause I have this really pretty pink shirt that has some lace on it, and it says hand wash!! But I am too lazy to handwash things. I don't know :(

What's up with the Jaffa Cakes? I don't get it.

am i the only one that saw that pic of desert leo's .. ayatulah sistaani woz ere hahahaha wat the heck is that? loool

desert you're nuts!
In my life I experienced various visions that can only be explained in terms of inspirational flashes of light that appeared before me at times when I felt I lost everything including myself; or rather especially myself.

Life it seems has many unopened doors left to venture through but our fear and ignorance holds us back.

I often dream of what could be awaiting me behind those doors but unless I make the effort to find the keys to unlock them I’ll never even come close to seeing what lies inside. Waiting for me to find it and bask in all it's glory and wonder.

How then do I even begin to look for these keys? Where do I start?

That, in itself, needs exploration and the more I try to find the beginning of this journey the farther away I feel from ever reaching it. I feel that these answers can’t be answered while I trap myself in this reality and fear escaping to what is real. Until I truly begin to live I can’t be assured the reward I seek now.

If I wait till then, then I may never reach the state of realness. Rather I’d have found the wonderments of this reality and lost the wonderments of the other. Therefore I must find a way to at least look through the keyhole and at least experience in it's minimalism what lies behind those doors.

Surely this is better than nothing at all?

This can then only ensure my chance of a taste of the other reality to be experienced by us all.

Why do you have TO hand wash your clothes DFC? Are you some kind of bumb?

If that's the case i don't suggest you wash your clothes, you should keep your stink factor up and intimidate people to give you money.

They will throw money at you just to make you and your stink go away.

Was that insulting? perhpas it's because you used "hijabies" , Not all muslims wear hijab, and even if they do, Hijabi sounds derogatory coming from a non muslim.

1. Get a bucket of warm to hot water around half full.

2. Add some fairy washing up powder or persil whatever tickles your fancy. (but fairy really makes your clothes soft)

3. Swirl it around a little till you get lots of bubbles.

4. Put your clothes in. If they are heavy items such as jeans then only put one in at a time. If they're t-shirts you can add three or four.

5. DO NOT MIX COLOURS WITH WHITES. Wash whites separately.

6. I then just usually rub all the clothes together in the water, taking care to use a small brush to scrub out any horrible stains like dirt or ketchup.

7. Then I tip the bucket out, fill a fresh one add some more powder and leave the clothes to soak in there for like half an hour or 10 minutes.

8. Rinse them out under the shower or tap and squeeze the water out

9. Dry
Wasalam.

asalamhoalaikuhm hijabis!

i have a question to ask, but im afraid its not gonna be about mutah or hijab or virginity or biriyani recipes or flowers or kittens or flowers that smell like kittens or what kind of dress im gonna be wearing for my wedding or whether i should marry the guy with the car or the guy who says he loves me or any of those things  :(

no i have not time for such triviality! i come to discuss a matter of far greater importance!

basically, what it is right, i need to know how to wash my clothes without a washing machine  :o yeh cos i heard people talking bout this ting called "hand washing" and im thinking thats mental how can you wash something with your hands  but i have been assured that this hand washing thing is real and not a myth like father christmas or michael jackson, soooo i would appreciate it ever so much if one of you hijabis could explain to me in extensive detail how to do it  :D

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

first of all get a liquid detergent fill the bath tub with warm or cold wate according tothe garments if they ar whites add bleach if not add color safe bleach then place the garments in it let them soak a bit then mix thenm about inthe water
let them soak for 5 minutes then drain the tub put cold water in it to rinse them and do this once or twice to make sure they are throughly rinsed wring then real good if hubby or sis or brother is home have them help then hang them out to dry

note: add less soap then a washing machine for this process

                   Assalamalaikum,
because most hijaabs are hand wash. I would just wash stuff in the gentle cycle with woolite or the generic equivalent.
