LOL on the novelty socks, i agree though socks is part of hijab, ive seen many hijabis wearing thongs/slip on shoes, strappy high heals and you may think they look good and they propably do, "however" a colourfull pair of thongs/slip on shoes shoes with dimentis or a strappy pair of high heels is going to potentially draw attention to yourself which i belive defeats the purpose of why you were hijab but i think nothing is more elegant that hijabii with black socks
PRAY FOR EARLY REAPPEARENCE OF IMAM MEHDI(A.S),

This post is from quite a while ago, just thought I would raise awareness on this as it is not that well known.
I dunno about being sent to hell for not wearing socks but will you earn the pleasure of Allah swt? Its not that difficult to implement and it should not be seen as extreme especially since womens socks are sold in almost every womens department store, even in the summer. Plus if you have sweaty feet socks will help to preserve in insides of your modest shoes!
Hands and face do not need to be covered.

Would plain flip flops be bringing attention? Most people aren't really looking at other people's shoes...Personally, the only time I really notice someone shoes is if they are wildly inappropriate for the situation or ridiculously high heels...
