ـ الإمامُ عليٌّ (عَلَيهِ الّسَلامُ): عَجِبتُ لِمَن يَرجُو رَحمَةَ مَن فَوقَهُ كيفَ لا يَرحَمُ مَن دُونَهُ؟!
Imam Ali said, 'How I wonder at the one who hopes for the mercy of the One above him and yet himself does not have mercy on the one below him.’

It is narrated that Imam al-Husayn said:
“Oh Allah, I have left the entire world for the sake of You, And I have orphaned my children so that I be with You. So if I am cut into pieces for the love of You, my heart would lean to none other than You.”
يروي عن الإمام الحسين (ع) أنه قال:
إلهي تركت الخلق طراً في هواك وأيتمت العيال لكي أراك فلو قطعتني في الحب إرباً لما مال الفؤاد الى سواك
