Well who ever wrote this missed a few big ones.............
*Strings song "Na jane kyon" was picked to be the theme track for SouthAsian release of Spiderman 2.
*Najam Shiraz' song "manu tere naal" was bought by Mahesh Bhatt for his movie murder (but the lyrics were changed)
*And a bunch of new FM stations also started up in 2004

Well as for shia ppl in showbiz.......
Noori (the band of Ali Noor and Ali Hamza who are both shias) lost their bass player Mohd Jafri.
Ali Azmat (the lead singer of Junoon) released his solo album.
well those are the only people I know, who are shia for sure.........

Whiz

Hindustan = Hindu + Asthan

Pakistan = Pak + sithoN (sitoN, sithan - farsi word as I have been told)..

may be the two words have the same root, after all, hindi and persian belong to the same family of languages.

Nope.
Marathi is from Sanskrit.
It's different and I,after learning it for ten years in school,can't construct a proper sentence.
Shame on me.......LOL

I agree. A person who can't respect Pakistan, will never be able to write a good sentence in marathi. Now I am not trying to be proud of the gift Allah has given us Pakistanis, lekon kiya karoon Khuda ka shukr hai ke uss ne hamain Pakistan dia, India ke tukray, tukray, tukray, turkray kar ke.

Okay Hasnain.
