By the grace of Allah (swt), I have just completed the PDF File of Quran with Complete Urdu Translation.

Please download it and let.

(Note: There are some small spelling mistakes in Urdu Text, which will be removed after proof reading. Insha-Allah).

Please also note that 114 Surahs of Quran are given as Book Marks in the above given file.

So, just open the bookmark section in Adobe, and choose the needed Surah from Index.

Can you help in Proof Reading the Urdu Translation of Quran? There are some minor spelling mistakes, which must be removed.

If you take some Surahs for proof reading, then in the mean time I can concentrate on Nehjul Balagha Project.

Salam Alaikum

I have recieved a mail from one brother who asked how it is possible that size of this PDF file is only 4.2 MB (while it contains about 1300 pages).

Let me clear it that it is due to reason that it's not and "Images PDF" file, but "Text PDF" file.

This means that whole Text is typed, and then changed into PDF. Using this way makes the size of file about 15 times smaller than Image (gif, jpg) PDF file.

We can also provide this Urdu Translation in HTML form, but it's size will be twice than this PDF file.

(If some one still wants HTML format, then please contact me).

With your Duas, I have been completed with proof reading (But I have to do it 2 more times and after that insha-Allah there will be almost no mistakes of Urdu typing).

I have uploaded this new version in the first mail.

Please also note that in this newer version Professional Urdu Nastaleeq font is used (while in earlier file "Arabic Naskh" font was used). Please advice which one would be better to use.

And after working for some sleepless nights, I have eye pain now. So don't forget to pray for my eyes (actually I have this eye problem very ofter even during uni studies).

Alhamdolillah this project has been completed, but the number of downloads is only 9, which is very low for this Quran project.

I have absolutely no time for contacting Shia Sites and telling them about this project and asking them to host it.

If any one among you can contact different Shia organisation for hosting this PDF file (or HTML file), then may Allah give reward him. Amin. (I am extremely busy with Nehjul Balagha Project and some other Urdu Projects).

it on the site now. look on the front page where it says "new material" and in the left hand column click "misc" (i may need to think of another place). i have changed the file name into urdu_quran.pdf becasue some people may think shias have a different quran. is this all ok?


sister if you dont mind me asking, how did you manage to do such a big project ? where did you get the translation form?

how about putting this on some urdu websites and on al-islam.org?

Sorry brother Muhammad Ali for late reply. I absolutely forgot about visiting this Urdu Section.

Alhamdolillah, some good Urdu projects are going on and soon we will have the results. Please pray for us.

This Urdu translation is taken from www.alsiraat.com .

But they have make this translation in "Urdu98" software (for which people have to install extra fonts and pluging and it can only be viewed in IE). And also they have given only one verse per page, which makes it impossible to read whole Surah online.

There is a utitlity, which can change "Urdu98" software files into Unicode HTML. I used this utility for all verses. It took some time, but at end I was successful. And I believe that this PDF file is in much better format and users friendly.



I already wrote to www.al-islam.org about this Urdu translation project, but it seems he replies, but only after couple of weeks.

I am using windows, but I am also not able to view the PDF file of this Quran by using Ghost View.

But  strange thing is this that I firstly converted Word File of Urdu translation into "Post Script Form" (which was viewable using Ghost View).  And from this Post Script file, I changed it into PDF file.

Anyhow, in Linux I used PDF viewer of Adobe, and it worked fine.

Thank u for it.
Can I know the name of "Mutarjim"??

In translation, Its better to start an ayeh with surah's no.
example:
Surah 3, Ayeh 110 should not be written with the number as "110" only, instead it should be started as "3:110"
This helps in a better search.
