i am a dubai resident.I would love to know which imambargah do shia's on shia chat mostly go to....and why...
i mostly go to the satwa khoja mosque because its very organised.although hussainia zahra isn't bad as well...its just a little un organised..whereas iranian mosques are also good..

but on the whole i love satwa imambargah.-(or its close to my house) ^_^

Hussainiyya zehra had the best of speakers this time.Satwa imambargah does not allow people from other nationalities like india and pakistan to do matam, hence people prefer hussainiyah zehra or qusais imambargah.

I do not generalise on imambargahs. It is who is reading which is more important. This year hussainiyyah zehra was best so far. The material given on ahlebait during the last 10 days was awesome.

Salam

I admit I did feel this way at first. As I know Khoja's are very proud of their community and rightly so as they do a great job with all their events!

No single community is perfect - I did feel awkward at first as I dont understand gujju or swahili. as most people are from Tanzania - so u do kinda feel lonely at times. However as time went on and I became a regular attendant, I found all were very welcoming, lovely, decent and open minded people.

I attended Hussaini Zahra Also..and it is always nice to go there as it feels like 'home'..and yes the mataam is the kind I have been raised up with. Like I said every community is unique and of course you will feel more at 'home' wen attending an Imam-bhargha which is of your particular community, only because this is what you have grown up with or in! :)

But still I have to say, I love satwa :)

salaams...

i am a khoja and do get respect whenever i do go there, but i get very uncomfortable when i see the way some of the pakis and indians are treated, which make me not want to go to satwa.....

May He reward them for the work that they and others do in promoting azadaari..

Your a Paki, don't you like hot weather?

And small place? Its growing. They are making 2 man made residential islands. Plus new development. Perfect size.

It has so many things a person can do.

And its beautiful.

I generally go to Shajreh Abbas...it is a very small place but with the passion and with the limited means..the people there have organized it fabulously. Masha'Allah. Hussainiya Zahra is also good..and yess Satwa is kinda cool.
