The president is a Kurd, the PM is an arab shi'i and the vice-president turned out to be a traitor and a murderer who is now hiding in Turkey.

President in Iraq is just symbolic; the PM has all the power and government branches running under his authority!
After the election was won by the 'PM' and his party, he joined with other parties to form a government, and agreed with the Kurdish party to let the guy run the presidency.
Anyhow, that is not important, but if you look at the heads of ministries, more than 50% of Sunnis are holding different ministerial positions in Iraq… some under the pretext of Kurds, some with Sunni Arab movements, some secular and Malikis allies... But at the end of the day, they call it a Shia government, which is not true!!

A good chunk of Iraq (Mesopotamia) was once the cradle of civilization, and to see these Sunnis turn this beautiful country into a grave
is quite a crime.
This would be the most perfect place to avenge our Imams and Shiite followers. Kick the teeth in of the Salafists, Jordanians, hypocrites, and opportunists at the same time.

Most likely to keep the people there under his thumb.
Certain characteristics about them..
lol
Don't be ridiculous. Do you really think that the entire population of a city, generation through generation, all share the same characteristics?
Does that sound just to you? Or even remotely logical?

Not necessarily, but he did do it. And there are ahadith indicating the Imam will rule from there as well. Like ShiaBen said the place is strategically placed. Can't rule out the first option though. From my experience, the people from that general area are hard to deal with. Not trying to sound racist or anything, just what I've experienced. That doesn't mean they're bad people. Two different things entirely.

Yes, that is correct. The Imam (ATF) will indeed rule from Kufa. However, I highly doubt that that is the reason.
You do realise that Najaf is essentially a part of Kufa? Kufa was the city, whilst Najaf was the wasteland that lay behind it. It was only later that the Shia of Iraq built a city around the shrine of the Imam

So, what relevance does that have to anything?

None of this, however, discredits what I said. What if those scholars are the diamond in the rough?
