surely him saying those shirk stuff are acts of kufr even in shiasm. whether he repented or not or he became a kaffir or anything else is now between him and Allah swt unless those close to him could shed some light.

but these statements are acts of kufr and if he actually practised and believed what he said then only Allah swt knows his situation now
