Salaam,

My change theme will not allow me to return to the original version. I signed in on my phone and apparently that theme carried over to my computer as well. please help. 8S

So basically my change theme on my comp is in the middle of the page at the bottom. But when I click it, it takes me to the top of the page. There is no option to change the theme at all.

Try signing out, refreshing and then signing in again. If that doesn't work see if clearing your history/cookies (maybe you're not doing it right?).

If nothing works, change your browser.

To change to the Desktop Theme:

View the page source, then ctrl+f/find for 'auth_key'. copy the value. The value should be something like this --> 3236b4c22bf4a8f41a6e9b1b8193dc72ps

Replace 'your_auth_key_here' at the end of the URL with your 'auth_key':

http://shiachat.com/...r_auth_key_here

http://shiachat.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=ajax&section=skin&do=change&skinId=8&secure_key=your_auth_key_here

When I am not logged in I am able to do that and it give 'status' ok but when I log into my account it gives me nopermission when I try it. Also I am still in mobile.

Also when I am logged in I cannot find a 'auth_key'. So I tried using the one from when I am NOT logged in and that's when I get the nopermission... I even went as far as trying it with the '' in and not in the address. But still nopermission. 8(

Why can I still not change my theme? When I am not signed in on my username SC is in normal version, but right when I sign in, it changes. PLEASE HELP!!! 8(

that's strange. Did you use ctrl+f to find it?

I am able to change to desktop theme with that trick.
The auth_key value is located on the bottom of the page.

I was able to fix it!!! YAY! Thank you soooo much!!! I wish I could give you a hug or something. SHUKRAN!! It was not 'auth_key' though. On mobile version it was something else. But when you said at the bottom I decided to look there. And I found something that looked similar to what you showed and what I found before. This started with a C though. I gave it a try but using what you did. And IT WORKED!!! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH 570!!!! 8D
