BEIRUT: A statement issued by Al-Qaeda threatened Lebanese Shiites that they will “pay” for their support of the Syrian regime. The statement, which appeared as an audio message on a Jihadist website on Aug. 17 and was recently picked up by the media, warned Shiites in Lebanon that “the positions of Hezbollah and the Amal Movement vis-à-vis the Syrian revolution do not serve the sect’s best interest ... If you maintain your arrogant attitude, you will be punished and you will pay. You only have yourselves to blame.” The statement was attributed to the Abdullah Azzam Brigades, an alleged Al-Qaeda branch that is active in Lebanon and Syria. It has claimed rocket attacks from Lebanon into Israel in the past.

So they really thin they can take us on, huh? I would say bring it, but having innocent people die for those [Edited Out]s is not worth it. They will be putting their foot into their mouth if they continue down this path! SMH!

Maybe they will try to send in the Libyans, Pakis, and Africans that make up the FSA.

^or the better way to say it, Lebanon is not Pakistan. One of the countries that I won't mind if things like this happen is Lebanon, because Shias have the means and the will to defend themselves....And hopefully there will be 10 eyes for an eye.

Regardless of the outcome i hope it does not result in actual warfare. AQ proves time and  time again that its motives are against the benefit of Muslims and sect biased.

i pity the fools lol

The best they could do, was have a guy named assir block the roads for a month.... even during the civil war, the sunnis couldnt even get into east beirut, while the shia did all of beirut in weeks LOL

let them try, when people mention salafis and al qaeeda in south lebanon they laugh at them.

We survived thousands of sorties , 30 years of occupation, f16s, artillery , tanks, you name it we faced it. and we are meant to be scared of some guys with long beards who at best will let off a car bomb ? lol please

I think since last time, the Sunni, especially the Salafist types have been arming themselves for the next battle.

Do not omit the thousands of Syrian refugees now in Lebanon or the Palesitnian camps.

Al-Qaeda Salafi beard boys can never pull off anything without Western hands, they shouldn't act so tough while they have a bottle in their mouth.

How about you Lebs get some payback for your Pakistani brothers? Give them a better message for a change. ^^^^^^

Assalam Alaikum. Do not talk so tough, war is not a game. An allout sectarian war that will destroy the Ummah has been in the making for a long long time. Many so called Wahabbi websites and channels who produce anti-Shia videos are in reality generated by US and especially Zionist intellegence agencys. And I am sure that some of the most hatefull posters here (Shia or Sunni) are not whom they claim to be either. If we get into an all out sectarian war than we are partly to blame ourselves, because we have allowed others to stir us up against each other. Like the Prophet (SAW) said; let's lower our wing.
Wasalaam.
