i want to know if not lowering your gaze is a big sin or small sin just a question and if you can post any hadiths on this issue , and if any marry bro out there can let me know what they think

Big.....If you don't lower your gaze, it's like adultery.....with the eyes.

I think you got the concept wrong lol. The duration of the accidental look finishes when you realise the female is there. Making "the best" out of that look would mean staring at whatever you please - as long as its in that one look < that doesn't apply to reason, for verily this law was created so that our eyes do not lock on knowingly to what is forbidden on them.

what if you look at a girl without lust? e.g. think as though she's just a normal human being.
In a western country you can't just keep away looking towards females e.g. when talking, presenting, communicating or doing a speech. The best way would be to think as though they were your sisters or something.
So what do u guyz think of this?

If you can look at for instance a girl on the train without lust - then I don't see why you would continue looking at her in the first place. In terms of work related necessary eye-contact - my personal opinion is I don't see anything wrong with that given you don't stare inappropriately. In terms of thinking their your sisters - bro the difficulty depends on how attractive the girls are lol.

Dude just chillax.  Accidental look on a beautiful girl means.. its time to hit it. thats rite.. find out who she is before the guy next to u makes the move.  Ask the mullah in ur area to carryout front attack on her house or her parents.. get the talk started.  Nothing is forbidden as long as shes single.
Islam is not there to suppress human desire. but to help the youth get wat he wants.
If u ever speak to a legit mullah or an ayatollah they r always ready to find u a spouse. Our imams our prophet used to go door to door tryin to find young men wife n work.. they even gave money frm their own pocket to get young ones married fast n easy.  Dont be so harsh ur kids will run away frm u!

Dude, I'm talking about the random girls that walk past you on the streets not the girls you want to marry lol, if you don't intend to marry them - then you can't look at the attractive ones for a longer duration than the accidental look. When it comes to girls you want to marry, there are certain rulings on what you are allowed to see - such as if i'm not mistaken (check it out to verify) being allowed to look more than once - you went slightly off topic with the marriage talk lol.

There are levels of sins. Of course, we have hadith that say to take any sin lightly is the greatest of all sins (as post #2 said, look at the one you're sinning against rather than the sin itself). But at the same time, not lowering the gaze for those who are married is two times than the same sin commited by a bachelor(ette).

If you try hard enough, you can actually learn to prevent even those accidental 'free' glances, which, although are not sin, still carry a negative spiritual effect. Recite istighfar immediately after if you find yourself lapsing in the remembrance of Allah (swt) and not lowering the gaze.

How are you able to find a girl to marry if you are prohibited to see her face? It's a bit confusing.

this happens alot where you lower your gaze down or turn away and then suddenly 20 seconds or so you look again but without it being intentional its like you forget even tho you dnt mean to look theres just some kind of mechanism and i dnt know what that is but its annoying sometimes because even tho u turn away from the girls you find your self looking again without it being your intention. i dnt know if any of you experience this ?
