AlSalam Alaykum:

I think that haram money got mixed with halal money, but still not sure, because I got the money by a service that has offers to try apps and once I try an app, (just try it to get the money by the service, not the app itself) I can get money, but the app was a casino one. However, if I knew the maximum amount of haram money, not the exact, could I still be able to buy something?

Thanks.

I believe you can, if you do not spend the amount of money that is haram, in your case having to round up to be safe.

Yeah if u knew the amount which has been credited to your a/c from the haram app. you can set aside that amount and use the remaining for your purchases.

Really what does it matter? Every currency  has a story to tell...That dollar that you have in your wallet was probably being thrown at half- naked dancers at  an exotic night club, and was then  spent on liquor or drugs in a dark alley somewhere. Then probably some guy with a weird rash on his hand handled your money....then a ghetto woman probably put it inside her shoe while she went to go buy something at a gas station...then somehow that same dollar ended up to you....khalas.....just buy whatever you want and wash your hands with pinesol when  you touch  any money halal or haram.

The money is gift cards.

Do you know how plastic gift cards are made? There are Chinese sweat shops cranking them out. Haram.

That was disgusting..

To the OP, did you try the casino app? If you didn't, then did you earn points for downloading which would accumulate to a certain level to get you the gift card?

Yeah, I did try the app, but it was for the purpose of earning the points, not earning money inside the app nor entertainment.

Well, if you think about it.. if you hadn't tried that app, you wouldn't have reached the requisite number of points and not earned the gift card, hence you shouldn't use it.

But if you weren't aware at the time you tried the app that it was haraam and could have easily tried another instead, then just ensure you take care in future and set aside the haraam amount?

Yeah I still have the money, but I bought something with it, which at that time didn't know that my money may contained haram money.

Its very easy ..............................

a. Check your credit points which you have accumulated from the casino earnings, (X)
b. check your total. (Y)
c. Reduce the credit points from the casino app from your total, (Y-X)
d. derive a figure,

convert that figure into cash reward. This would be halal, the other not.

Happy Shopping !!!
