(bismillah)

I have this one relative, who understands nothing about trading currencies and international financial market, yet she keeps bothering me by saying this is just gambling and that I am a gambler.

how shud I deal with her?

she herself is engaged in bloody Interest which is absolute haraam in ISlaaam, yet she dont acknowledge it is haraam.

Ignore her?

I learned there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead, others come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready, you see. Now my troubles are going to have trouble with me.

This is just my opinion but buying and selling of different currencies is simply 'trade' (but money here is a 'commodity' and this might not be allowed) and interest rates higher than the time value of money is usury.

There are quite a few arguments for derivatives falling within the ambit of gambling though.
