Depends on the situation.
An open mind is the most powerful weapon in the universe, specially the one that worships Allah.

Life is beautiful. You just have to take a closer look.

The strong rule the weak, but the wise rule the strong.

e.g. you would be a lot happier if you were single but it is below your dignity to separate. (make sense?)

Lol this isn't a this or that question.

I learned there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead, others come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready, you see. Now my troubles are going to have trouble with me.

I second Hasan0404's opinion. If you know you have your dignity intact, you'll be happy.

The question is, is it possible to be happy with the feeling of the embarrassment from indignity? Most likely no.

Why do these two have to be mutually exclusive ?

Though I do not like such trade offs, but my  choice would always be dignity over anyother thing under the sky----including success and happiness---

Pose this question to a person born into slavery or extreme poverty ( alternatively read up a few memoirs of such people ) – and I am sure you’ll get some very reflective and illuminating answers.

you see i dont know..so you'd rather be miserable and keep your dignity? or let people say what they want and be happy? the situation is difficult! Both ways the intention of getting closer to Allah can be achieved?
