I learned there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead, others come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready, you see. Now my troubles are going to have trouble with me.

(salam)
Well technically it is sunnah to have a beard, but please do NOT leave it long and messy like the typical Sunni beard!! Make sure it's trimmed and clean, do NOT leave it growing on the sides, this will stimulate bad images on Islam and will make you look like some freak. Islam is all about cleanliness, so make sure it's neat and trimmed from the sides regularly. I think short beards on young men is better, while long beards can be left for the older men.

I may be a sister but I really, really hate it when I say long and messy beards sticking out everywhere.
