k allow me to settle this. how do you feel after you listen to music as opposed to before it? differant at all, mad, happy, sad, concerned, worried, anything?
now tell me after you listen to music lets say rap for sake of arguement, do you feel like doing namaz right after? how well do you do your namaz, like do you do it at a normal pase? do you rush? even though you mispronounce a word do you repeat it clearly?,are you thinking about anything other than doing namaz or god when praying?

if you answered yes to any of these than music has affected you in a negitive way and this is basic, if you still doubt this ill get into a whole chunka detail that no one wants to read so before i do that be openminded :)

What I feel depends on the song I listen to but it's never mad, concerned, worried or stuff. It's normally happy, relaxed, etc. The music I listen to isn't the depressing type.

It doesn't affect how I pray at all because no matter what happens, so if I'm going to be late for something or whatever, I will always pray slow and pronounce each word correctly, just a habit I developed. You don't have to write anything on this topic lol, I seen enough lectures on it and the Marja I follow say's it's allowed in the way I listen to it, look back at my previous post, I gave some quotes.

well if what you say is true than your one in a million, truthfully i listen to music, it gives me something to do and i enjoy it,keep in mind not everyone is you brother, by reading what i wrote people automatically assume that no the way i did namaz or anything was correct.

a question, do you do namaz everyday? did you fast during ramadan?, maybe a few? please be truthful.

so your gonna listen to the words of a marja but not the words of your imams and prophet? and the quran.
and plus their are many studies that prove completely the opposite of what you have said. i can provide quotes and the study if you need.

most people subconsciously dont realize somethings effecting them till they see a video of themselves, but honestly who would do that?

I am being truthful, I can easily get into a different mind set if I need to and when you pray slow and thinking about every word you say 5 times a day over a long period of time, it just becomes natural.

Yes I pray everyday, fast during Ramadan, read the Quran and dua, watch lectures, etc.

I listen to both, music becomes haram when it takes you away from Allah and in my case it isn't. I also don't use to to do haram activities and if you read my previous posts I'm not really hooked onto the mainstream media music. If I do listen to the mainstream music it's normally the civilized stuff, never things that mention haram activities. When you say you listen to music people quickly assume artists like Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj and so on, but in some cases it's not.

So instrumentals are okay? I completely stopped listening to mainstream music a few years ago. However I do listen to the orchestral music from games like Final Fantasy every now and again. I find them relaxing, they help me get into deep thought.

Haha inshAllah, and yeah those artists are really just no use to the world, go find people who are listening to them and give them a few slaps.

I listen to those type of instrumentals, that's the main music I listen to and produce. Thing is it doesn't really get in the way of our religion and doesn't pollute our thoughts or anything and is more of the inspirational type.

well instrumentals are haram, cause musics origin started with instumentals, ie no one singing or speaking just music.

but as long as you be truthful and a good person, perfrom all your or atleast try your abolute best to be a good muslim, im sure Allah would act as if music was not a factor for your, as long as your can make good decisions yourself.
