The shia are always claiming that they are the' followers of Ahlul Bayt', and are constantly quoting 'Hadith Al-Thaqilain.' However, when one takes a closer look at their beliefs, we find that there are serious question marks over their claims.

The Qu'ran clearly includes the Prophet (pbuh)'s wives as part of Ahlul Bayt. However, the shia hate several of The Prophet (pbuh)'s wives. Also, there are dozens of members of Ahlul Bayt that the shia choose to ignore, such as Imam Zaid (ra) and The Prophet's (pbuh) daughters. The shia chose 11 successors of The Prophet (pbuh) - who were great Ulemaa. However, there is no evidence as to why these specific 11 were 'the chosen Imams'. The shia even attack the brother of Hasan Al-Askari (as), Jafar (ra) and call him 'kathab' = liar (astaghfirullah).

The shia should take note: nobody disagrees with hadith al-thaqilain. However, if you really want to follow Ahlul Bayt and revere them, as we all do, then you must revere ALL Ahlul Bayt, not just a chosen few to suit your preferences. You are neglecting many other great members of Ahlul Bayt.. and even attack some in a similar way that you attack the sahaba (see above).

No it doesn't. And Aisha herself had confirmed this.

Narrated Aisha:

One day the Prophet (PBUH&HF) came out afternoon wearing a black cloak (upper garment or gown; long coat), then al-Hasan Ibn Ali came and the Prophet accommodated him under the cloak, then al-Husain came and entered the cloak, then Fatimah came and the Prophet entered her under the cloak, then Ali came and the Prophet entered him to the cloak as well. Then the Prophet recited: "Verily Allah intends to keep off from you every kind of uncleanness O' People of the House (Ahlul-Bayt), and purify you a perfect purification (the last sentence of Verse 33:33)."

Sahih Muslim, Chapter of virtues of companions, section of the virtues of the Ahlul-Bayt of the Prophet (PBUH&HF), 1980 Edition Pub. in Saudi Arabia, Arabic version, v4, p1883, Tradition #61.

If they were, they would have been under the cloak.

What are you talking about?! Please read the following carefully...

O wives of the Prophet! you are not like any other of the women; If you will be on your guard, then be not soft in (your) speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease yearn; and speak a good word. And stay in your houses and do not display your finery like the displaying of the ignorance of yore; and keep up prayer, and pay the poor-rate, and obey Allah and His Apostle. Allah only desires to keep away the uncleanness from you, O people of the House! and to purify you a (thorough) purifying.[Quran 33:32-33]

Don't ever try take a verse out of context, these are Allah's words.

Really not going to bother replying in-depth as, please understand, been over this issue a thousand plus times. You can find your answers here http://www.al-islam.org/encyclopedia/ (Chapter 1a). You quoted the english translation, the Arabic grammar construction is different. If the sentence is addressing the wives of the prophet, they would have been under the cloak. So why weren't they under the cloak?

Apart from your illusions, there is absolutely NO evidence for this claim. Now, if you do NOT know Arabic, PLEASE do not post anything more about this particular claim. Some basic knowledge of Arabic grammar is required to understand the grammar of the Verse of Purification, and how it excludes the wives.

However, the shia hate several of The Prophet (pbuh)'s wives.

We hate only 'Aaishah and Hafsah. That makes you a liar.

Unlike you, we take our religion from the Prophet (pbuh). He mentioned his chosen Ahl al-Bayt (as), and specified their names for us in our mutawaatir hadeeths. You have a problem with following hadeeths? Are you a Quranist?

Of course, you do. Otherwise, you would have been a follower of the Ahl al-Bayt (as).

Nonsense! Did you read what I said above? :P
