Assalam o alekum...

I heard about that scarf that looks like camel hump is not allowed in Islam. What's the logic behind it ?
What i'm trying to say is that, if a female covers her head & everything completely and it becomes like a camel hump, what's wrong in it ? Since she has covered her head & hair.

Thanks

Wa Alaikum il Salam,,

**in my opinion** it becomes haram when people start stuffing things in there Hijab just to make it look like a camel hump,, and one of my sister-in-law does it,, do u know that there now selling these circle things to put under ur hijab to make it look like that
science without religion is lame,, religion without science is blind,, thats pretty obvious,, but wen so many things in the Quran say things about the natural world before science can prove it,, how isnt that enough proof in Islam,,

But my question still stands, what's wrong in doing that if the person is fully covering her head.

does it allude to the way women with long hair updo their hair in a form of a bun on nape---is it wrong to do it, even if their head and hair are properly covered ?

Not sure if it is Islamically acceptable - but the camel hump hijab looks dreadful.
It aint easy being green.

Terrible style introduced by the Turks and perpetuated by the Dearborn community.

I prefer the hump-less Iraqi hijab style. One square piece folded into a triangle and then drawn up under the chin as per Sistani's jurispridential ruling on the matter.

Chins, much like ankles, are a no no :shifty:

The Prophet (pbuh) said: "There are two types of the people of Hell whom I have not seen: men in whose hands are whips like the tails of cattle, with which they beat the people, and women who are clothed yet naked, maa'ilaat mumeelaat, with their heads like the humps of camels, tilted to one side. They will not enter Paradise or even smell its fragrance."  Sahih Muslim

Salaam,

I've seen women with a hump almost bigger than their own heads. And some even vertically placed on top of their heads. It draws much attention, especially when they wear flashy coloured hijaab and hairpins.

Isn't the purpose of hijaab to look modest, and not to draw too much attention? Even though the head is covered, people will still gaze.. They'll stare even more at a camel hump hijabi than a non-hijabi.

Girls can also have a natural hump when they tie their hair, be it high or low. But these humps look normal and decent, and are way smaller than the camel humps.

I'm surprised not many cover their eyebrows as well? While Sayed Sistani also says epilated eyebrow should be covered.

As long as it doesn't look like a flower is there then it's not haram. Idk why you guys would say it's haram. So what if they want people to know they have big hair? Everyone knows that big heads like that require a flower clip. Plus even if, let's say, they have it on and claim that it's their hair, so what? You can't really imagine them with hair anyways. Anyways it's really stupid when here you have all these khaliji girls with flower clips and their sideways bangs with abaya. It looks really ugly. Like they are pregnant, except not from the stomachs but from the back of their heads.
Anyways, no one said camel hump was haram. Only sunnis. If you're that concerned, just ask you Marji' . Plus I don't think any shia sisters would want to wear such a fat thing.

That's a sunni source.

Perhaps they do that on purpose - particularly those women/ girls who are vertically challenged get a good 'boost' to their height this way.

But this trend must literally be a real pain in their neck and head - is cervical pain, worth it, I wonder! :P

Wow, really? So if I do my eyebrows I have to cover them? Interesting. Even if you just clean them up or remove a unibrow regularly?

I do not follow Sistani currently but I was unaware of this!
