I came across this sermon from Nahjul el Balagha and it made me wonder are we unfaithful believers?? In describing the characteristics of unfaithful believers Imam Ali AS. said:
"He does not know the door of guidance to follow nor the door of misguidance to keep aloof therefrom. These are living dead bodies".
Have we turned into living dead bodies?? It is getting harder and harder to tell wrong from right especially while living in such a corrupt society. What do you guys think of the quote above??

Salams,
It was narrated that:
'The leader of the jews gave an incorrect answer to Ali a.s. when asked about the number of sects that the jews had been divided into.
Ali a.s. will pass a judgment based on the torah among the jews and on the injil among the christians and on the Qur'an among the Muslims.
One one sect of jews and only one sect of christians will go to Paradise.
From 73 sects of Islam, 13 claim to be the devotees of Ali a.s. but only 1 sect will go to Paradise'.
(Ktiab e Sulaym ibn Qays al Hilali ~ trans. Rizvi pg XXXVII hadith #32)
There are other hadidth confirming this same thing.

I understood the quote differently. What I took from it is that some believers do not know wrong from right. And when you don't know what is the right path to take you can never end up taking it. And if you don't know what path is the wrong path you might end up taking it without even knowing.
Isn't that what the quote is talking about??
