Never tell others about your bad dreams, just give some sadaqa and forget it.

Sis, I am going to follow that advice from now on.

The only kind of nightmares I experience are spider nightmares. Usually they aren't even directly in my nightmares, they just appear uninvited out of the blue.

Last night I had this possibly scariest dream of my life. It was night and dark in my room so I looked under my bed. I saw a reptilian creature with a troll face like in ImAli's avatar. It shrieked like those hollywood witches and came after me with its jaws clacking together in blood thirst. I started running but it jumped and tried to bite me on the buttocks. I barely leaped away from it and it kept coming after me. Then I got cornered and it tried to bite me on the buttocks. But I pressed my back hard into the corner. It didn't want to bite anywhere else. I found out its weakness. So I kept my face towards it and ran backwards inside the house and then I got cornered in the toilet again. It was do or die. So I wrestled it and managed to sink its head in the toilet bowl. It was one hell of a fight. I punched it and it squealed. Then I shoved its head in the toilet bowl again and kicked the flush button with my foot. Somehow that did the trick as the flush growled and rattled and finally sucked the monster inside of it as it screamed and struggled in vain. I woke up very tired and drenched in sweat.

"I wanted a high position in life, I found it in modesty. I wanted leadership, I found it in giving advice. I wanted dignity, I found it in honesty. I wanted greatness, I found it in poverty. I wanted lineage, I found it in virtue. I wanted majesty, I found it in contentment. I looked for peace and found it in asceticism." - Uwais al Qarni

I had a most memorable nightmare the other day. I dreamed that I had murdered someone (who I murdered was never made clear in the dream). And I was desperately trying to get rid of the body and trying to think how I would cover up the murder.

What do narrations say about nightmares? [this isn't a rhetorical question btw - I've read one sunni hadith about not sharing your nightmares but I don't know what our narrations say]

Why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?

Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

Judge not, so that you may not be judged. For with the judgement you judge,  you will be judged also; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

Once i had a nightmare that was being chased by a guy who was holding a knife and he wanted to kill me, but somehow i wasn't scared and i just stood there staring at him until my dad came and told me to run. my friend told me that means i'm going to die, but it obviously doesn't because i'm still alive a good few months later.

and i had a nightmare where i went to college without my hijab, in my pajamas, and then i realised i wasn't wearing hijab so i ran to the girls toilets, but there were a bunch of guys there

also, i once had a nightmare where i was carrying my own coffin

For years I've had these recurring dreams of my teeth shattering and breaking to pieces inside of my mouth.

It is such a realistic and graphic dream that I can feel the broken teeth moving around in my mouth - I know comparatively to other nightmares it seems rather trivial, but its such a shocking and terrifying experience.

I checked it up online and apparently it is one of the most common nightmares adults have, and that it might have something to do with being too vain. :donno:

i dont mean to alarm you, but the teeth inside a dream represent your family members with the closer they are to the front, the closer they are to you
between the canine and the front teeth is people like your parents and brothers and sisters, and below the canines it is your cousins and brother in laws etc

if they are shattering and breaking it could do with their finances, or their lives, or their religion, if the teeth are falling out of their sockets and into your hands, it could be illness or some tragedy such as car accidents and so on and so forth, if they fall out of your hand and you put them back into their places(even if they are broken when they are placed back into your gums) then it could be a brush with death or some deep and serious illness

if they fall out and you lose them, or if they fall and hit the floor and you dont put them back in, and this is made clear to you in the dream it could mean the death of the loved one, or again a serious brush with death

also if they are returned from their displaced position, it could mean that the people could have faced a serious issue in life, but God saved them from it by changing some fate or something, so they were saved from a serious injury or harm or even possibly death allahu alim

if you want more details i can elaborate on it, but at this stage dont be too alarmed

also what matters which posrtion of teeth, whether it is up the upper or lower teeth and their subsequent parts
