Salaam Allaykum,
As a university student I receive several loans per year which I, of course, have to pay back. Though I have to pay that money back, would it be fair to say that that money is still mine and I am obliged to pay khums on it? Or because that money is only temporarily in my possession could it be possible that I would not have to pay khums on it as technically I do not actually OWN the money as I've just borrowed it?
