The Perfumed Garden of Sensual Delight (Arabic: الروض العاطر في نزهة الخاطر‎ al-rawd al-'âtir fî nuzhat al-khâtir) by Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Nafzawi is a fifteenth-century Arabic sex manual and work of erotic literature.

Kind of an Arab karma sutra equivalent, if you will.

"If you find yourself alone, riding in the green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled.

For you are in Elysium, and you're already dead!"

Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.

honestly..how awkward are some of you?

you don't need an islamic guide to sex, get married and go wild with your spouse, for goodness sake..

Actually you do. Specially once you are doing it to make babies.

Also what time not to bother your spouse :) and at what times not to do it without ghusl etc.

There are certain rules that one has to abide by Islamically, like for everything else when you accept Islam as your way of life.

No, a guidebook helps. And it is even better to do a few dozen mutahs for practice. Only for the sake of your probably completely unprepared wife. ^^

"I wanted a high position in life, I found it in modesty. I wanted leadership, I found it in giving advice. I wanted dignity, I found it in honesty. I wanted greatness, I found it in poverty. I wanted lineage, I found it in virtue. I wanted majesty, I found it in contentment. I looked for peace and found it in asceticism." - Uwais al Qarni

Good response. Islam is a way of life and there are many hadiths regarding this sensitive topic. Your best friend shared good resources, thank you for that.

With the exception of the rules of cleanness (How to ghusl), the brother is right. Pretty much everything is permitted provided both of you want to do it. There are things not recommended, but all in all it's a party between you and her.
