Extend of Authority of Imam Hasan and Imam Husain
                

أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ رِجَالِهِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ع قَالَ إِنَّ الْحَسَنَ ع قَالَ إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مَدِينَتَيْنِ إِحْدَاهُمَا بِالْمَشْرِقِ وَ الْأُخْرَى بِالْمَغْرِبِ عَلَيْهِمَا سُورٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ وَ عَلَى كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا أَلْفُ أَلْفِ مِصْرَاعٍ وَ فِيهَا سَبْعُونَ أَلْفَ أَلْفِ لُغَةٍ يَتَكَلَّمُ كُلُّ لُغَةٍ بِخِلَافِ لُغَةِ صَاحِبِهَا وَ أَنَا أَعْرِفُ جَمِيعَ اللُّغَاتِ وَ مَا فِيهِمَا وَ مَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَ مَا عَلَيْهِمَا حُجَّةٌ غَيْرِي وَ غَيْرُ الْحُسَيْنِ أَخِي

Ahmad ibn Muhammad and Muhammad ibn Yahya have narrated from Muhammad ibn al-Hassan from Ya‘qub ibn Yazid from ibn abu ‘Umayr from his people from abu ‘Abd Allah who has said the following.

"Al-Hassan has said, ‘Allah has two cities. One is in the east and the other is in the west. They have a boundary around them that is made of iron and each one has a million doors. Seventy thousand different languages exist therein and I know all those languages and all that is therein. There is no one who would possess Leadership with Divine Authority over them except I and my brother al-Husayn ."

حدثنا أبي رضي الله عنه قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله قال: حدثني الحسين بن عبدالصمد، عن الحسين بن علي بن أبي عثمان قال: حدثنا العباد بن عبدالخالق، عمن حدثه، عن أبي عبد الله عليه السلام قال: إن لله عز وجل اثني عشر ألف عالم كل عالم منهم أكبر من سبع سماوات وسبع أرضين، ما ترى عالم منهم أن لله عز وجل عالما غيرهم. وأنا الحجة عليهم



Sheikh Sadooq narrated that his father narrated that Saeed ibn Abdullah quoted Al-Hussein ibn Abdul Samad, on the authority of Al-Hussein ibn Ali ibn Abi Uthman, on the authority of Al-Ebad ibn Abdul Khaliq, on the authority of someone who narrated that Aba Abdullah as-Sadiq  a.s said, “The Honorable the Exalted Allah azwj has created 12,000 worlds each of which is more extensive than the seven heavens and the seven Earths. None of these worlds know that God the Honorable the Exalted has any other worlds except their own world. However, I am a proof for all of them.”

And even today in the ever expanding universe of Allah azwj we can say that they are the Proofs a.s.

حدثنا محمد بن أحمد البغدادي قال: حدثني عبد الله بن محمد بن سليمان بن عبد الله بن الحسن، عن أبيه، عن جده، عن زيد بن علي، عن أبيه علي بن الحسين، عن أبيه، عن أمير المؤمنين علي بن أبي طالب عليهم السلام، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال: خلق الله عز وجل مائة ألف نبي وأربعة وعشرين ألف نبي وأنا أكرمهم على الله ولا فخر، وخلق الله عز وجل مائة ألف وصي وأربعة وعشرين ألف وصي، فعلي أكرمهم على الله وأفضلهم



Muhammad ibn Ahmad al-Baghdady narrated that Ali ibn Muhammad - the servant of Ar-Rashid - quoted Darim ibn Qabaysat ibn Nahshal ibn Majmaulsa’eh, on the authority of Ali ibn Musa al-Reza a.s, on the authority of his father Musa ibn Ja’far al-Kazim a.s, on the authority of his father Ja’far ibn Muhammad as-Sadiq (MGB), on the authority of his father Muhammad ibn Ali al-Baqir a.s, on the authority of his father Ali ibn al-Hussein as-Sajjad a.s, on the authority of his father Al-Hussein ibn Ali a.s, on the authority of the Ameer ul Momineen Ali ibn Abi Talib a.s that God’s Prophet SAWW said, “The Honorable the Exalted God has created one-hundred twenty-four thousand Prophets. I am the dearest of all in the presence of God and I do not boast about this. The Honorable the Exalted God has created one-hundred twenty-four thousand Trustees. Ali is the dearest and the best of all Trustees in the presence of God.”

حدثنا أبي رضي الله عنه قال: حدثنا سعد بن عبد الله قال: حدثنا محمد بن عيسى بن عبيد، وإبراهيم بن إسحاق بن إبراهيم، عن عبد الله بن حماد الانصاري عن صباح المزني، عن الحارث بن حصيرة، عن الاصبغ بن نباتة، عن أمير المؤمنين عليه السلام قال: سمعته يقول: إن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله علمني ألف باب من الحلال والحرام، ومما كان إلى يوم القيامة، كل باب منها يفتح ألف باب [فذلك ألف ألف باب] حتى علمت علم المنايا والبلايا وفصل الخطاب

Sheikh Sadooq narrated that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’ed ibn Abdullah quoted Muhammad ibn Isa ibn Ubayd, and Ibrahim ibn Ishaq ibn Ibrahim, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Himad al-Ansari, on the authority of Sabah al-Mazny, on the authority of Al-Harith ibn Hasira, on the authority of Al-Asbaq ibn al-Nobatat that he had heard the Ameer ul Momineen Imam Ali a.s say, “God’s Prophet SAWW taught me one-thousand gates to the forbidden and the legitimate, what has been and what shall come all the way up until the Resurrection Day. Each of these gates opened one-thousand gates, so that they turned into one million gates. Thus, I acquired the knowledge of deaths, calamities and the Divine Decrees.”

Salaam Alykum,
I have read this ahadith before as well, but have ever since been in a way awestruck ( i think thats the word ) by it. Honestly i have not been able to comprehend it , what it actually signifies, more so in worldly terms so as to say, are these cities in a way " Angelic " , what exactly do they signify, if someone could explain i would be highly grateful ......

ونحن باب الغوث إذا اتقوا وضاقت عليهم المذاهب، ونحن باب حطة، وهو باب السلام، من دخله نجا ومن تخلف عنه هوى، بنا يفتح الله، وبنا يمحو ما يشاء، وبنا يثبت، وبنا يدفع الله الزمان الكلب، وبنا ينزل الغيث، فلا يغرنكم بالله الغرور.
ما أنزلت السماء [من] قطرة من ماء منذ حبسه الله عز وجل، ولو قد قام قائمنا لانزلت السماء قطرها، ولاخرجت الارض نباتها، ولذهب الشحناء من قلوب العباد، واصطلحت السباع والبهائم حتى تمشي المرأة بين العراق إلى الشام لا تضع قدميها إلا على النبات وعلى رأسها زينتها لا يهيجها سبع ولا تخافه.

لو تعلمون مالكم في مقامكم بين عدوكم وصبركم على ما تسمعون من الاذى لقرت أعينكم، ولو فقدتموني لرأيتم من بعدي امورا يتمنى أحدكم الموت مما يرى من أهل الجحود والعدوان من أهل الاثرة والاستخفاف بحق الله تعالى ذكره والخوف على نفسه، فاذا كان ذلك فاعتصموا بحبل الله جميعا ولا تفرقوا.


We are the gates to safety. We save whoever is oppressed, has no way to flee and calls out for justice. We are the gates of peace. Whoever enters the, shall be saved and whoever disobeys us will be destroyed.

God starts with us. God destroys by us what He wishes to destroy. God establishes everything through us. God will fend off hard times from you due to us. God will descend rain due to us. You should not be deceived and turn away from God due to your pride.
There has been no drops of Mercy from the Heavens since the Honorable the Exalted God closed the gates of Heaven. Once our Riser ajf uprises, there will come down drops of rain from the heavens; plants will grow out of the ground; hatred will be removed from the hearts of the people; beasts and other animals will be in peace with each other such that a woman can walk from Iraq to Syria stepping on greenery all the way with her adornments on and no beasts would frighten her.

You would be amazed if you knew the rank you attain when you stand up against your enemies.
Once you lose me, you will see many things from the hands of the unbelievers, the enemies, the selfish people who will belittle God’s right and threaten your life. Then you will wish death. Once this happens you should unite together and do not divide up into several groups. You should adhere to God’s Strong Rope

Does this mean all the other worlds people have to believe in the wilayah of Ahlul Bayt ? , but according to the said hadith : " None of these worlds know that God the Honorable the Exalted has any other worlds except their own world............."   so how does it work ?????  If someone could provide some details and shed some light on the issue, i did' be grateful...

Salamalaikum

We know that there are 12,000 worlds/university/multi verses but they don't but they believe in authority of our aimma a.s and one world that I have read about does not have any other duty except to curse the enemies of ahlulbayth a.s. so the alien stories with higher technology than us is qiyas

Did u get me?  The aimma a.s did not tell them about it and there are millions of other places like earth with people living in it. Are they like us? I dont know .

A momin understands ahadees of masoomeen a.a if u haven't understood it then pray to Allah azwj and read the hadees again and again if u are unable to grasp.

The ones who read this hadees know that there are 12,000 worlds where imam sadiq a.s is proof and he did not tell any of them that their exists another world including this world.

Sheikh Sudooq narrated that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa’ed ibn Abdullah quoted on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Mahboob, on the authority of Amr ibn Shimr, on the authority of Jabir ibn Yazid that Aba Ja’far al-Baqir a.s was asked about the following words of God the Honorable the Exalted, ‘Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? Qaf 50:15

The Imam a.s replied, “O Jabir! Its interpretation is that when the Honorable the Exalted God destroys this creation; this world and houses; the people of Heaven in Heaven; and the people of Hell in Hell, then the Honorable the Exalted God will create another world with a new set of monotheist people without any male or female distinction to worship Him. God will create another Earth for them to live in and will create another sky to cast a shadow upon their heads. Maybe you believe that the Honorable the Exalted God has not created any other world and has not created any other humans than you? Indeed, I swear by God that the Blessed the Sublimed God has created a million worlds and a million breeds of humans, and you are in the very end of these worlds and of the last breed of human beings.

AS-Saffar-Muhammed Ibn Isa-Yunos Ibn Abdurrahman -Abdul Samad Ibn Basheer-Jaber Ibn Yazeed -Imam Baqir : Behind this sun there is forty suns between each sun is a time of forty years. Over there are many people who don't know whether Allah created Adam or not. And behind this moon of your there are forty moons between each moon is the time of fourty years and over there are many people who don't know whether Allah created Adam or not. They have been inspired just like how the bees have been inspired to curse the first and second continually all the time. And Allah has supervised angles for them that when whenever they dont curse them both l.a they will be punished.

Muhammed Ibn Isa Ibn Ubayd.

Muhammed Ibn Isa there should be no doubt over his relaibilty as shias scholars have agreed over his relaibility but since we have many ignorants who are even willing to attack the relaibilty of Imam and accuse Imam of fabricating hadith, we felt the need to refute the arguments of these people.

Najashi (one of the best scholar of rijal) said: He is Trustworthy, venerable, an exellent compiler.

Al-Khoe say in his rijal that Ibn Shadan companion of Imam Jawad : Use to love, praise, glorify Muhammed and was incline to him and use to say about Muhammed there is no one throught the centries as comparable to Muhammed.

Ibn Nuh said: He is trustworthy and Adel.

Al-Kashi regarded him among the trusworthies, Adils and the people of knowledge.

Sayed Al-Khoei said: The greatness and the trustworthiness of Muhammed is of the agreed upon between the shias.

Since, Ibn Al-Waleed said he is relaible but his narration from Yonus are unrelaible and Tusi on this basis regarded him weak, by wrongly thinking that Ibn Al-Waleed disragarded all his narrations.

Al-Khoei said: The weaking of Tusi was due to him wrongly thinking that Ibn Al-Waleed disregarded all the narration of Muhammed, but Al-waleed did not, he only disregarded his narration from Yunos, and this is something that is based on the Ijtihaad and the opinion of Ibn Al-Waleed. And this view is not evident according to us.

Meaning there is no evidence for disregarding the narrations of Muhammed from Yonus, because that is something Ibn Al-Waleed did based on his own opinion.


Najashi refuted this saying: Our shia companions denied this (disregarding the narrations of Muhammed from Yunos) and said who is comparable to Muhammed Ibn Isa?

Ibn Dawood refuted this saying: And according to me the stronger is accepting his narrations.

Al-Khoei also refuted whoever accused him of ghuluu by saying that Tusi quoted this from someone who is unknown (which makes it unrelaible) and it contradicts the truth due to the saying of Ibn Nuh that Muhammed was Adel (just) and trusworthy.


Yunos Ibn Abdurrahman :

Enough what the Imam said about him in the hadith authenticated by Al-Khoei saying Yunos in his time is like Salman in his time.

Tusi said: he is trutworthy.
Najashi said: A Noble among our companions and has a great status.


Abdul Sammad Ibn Bushair

Najashi said: He is thiqah (trustworthy), thiqah .. 2 times.

Jabber Ibn Yazeed Al-Jufi :

Another, great companion. Imam Sadiq said in saheh hadith authenticated by Al-Khoei that Jaber was truthfull when he use to narrate from us and May Allah have mercy on jaber..

Al-Qummi and Sheikh Al-Mufeed testified for his trustworthiness, Sheikh Al-Mufeed.

As for those who love to quote from Ibn Ghada'eri, Ibn Ghada'eri said he is thiqah.

Al-Khoei said: He is among the thiqah and the Adil

Al-Khoei also refuted what najashi said about Jaber that he use to mix by saying what Imam in the saheh narration of Ziyad that Jaber was truthfull when he use to narrate from us, is not overrided by what najashi said that he use to mix, because there is peoms for Al-Mufeed that show Al-Mufeed himself use to mix. ......And then he said even if we were to accept that jaber has issues but it does not affect his Adalah and trustworthiness.


So Isnaad is saheh.

see like Aimma(as)in particular Imam Ali(as)has different names in different scriptures of God.So everyone identify Him in their own way,like in Jeremiah,Bible,Allah has mentioned about sacrifice of Ahlebait(as)at river Euphrates,now being a Muslim,the ummah of most Superior Prophet(saww)we know whom it is talked about,but Christians don't know.Similarly,we are Ashraf ul makhlooqat,as a human so we know about the presence of other nations,but they were not informed about us.There is must be some Hikmat e Illahi in doing so.Because in this world there are issues about love and hatred for Allah's Loved Ones,which may not be a case there,still we can't judge the reason of hiding from them,we can only take,what has been told,but with logic,we can assume,that there are ppl in this world,who don't know things even which are revealed to Them,so there can be nations without knowledge of us.When Allah says,"We have sent you as Rehmat ul il Alimeen(Mercy for All worlds)".So it's really clear there are other worlds where They are authority,now if Allah don't want to tell them about us.It's His Will.Like we in this world are not told about certain unseen elements.

He understood that part but probably it surprised him that how can imam sadiq a.s who was born 1400 years ago be a proof elsewhere and maybe is present there ?

Its because many know the ahlulbayth a.s who came to mecca Medina bit don't really know how they were created thousands of years before creation of Adam a.s and the extent of their authority is still unknown to all of us.

Maybe I am wrong but this is a common misconception.

how can they be everywhere?very simple when Prophet(saww)went on Meraaj,He met Izraeel(as),Who is supposed to take souls at time of death.But if He remains on skies,How does He actually appears before dying person,and if He works on earth,how does he physically remains in Heaven? at any moment there can't be one dying man anywhere there are numerous,so When He can be present everywhere at the same time, since birth of Adam,why can't Mohammad(saww)O Aal e Mohammad(as)be?.It's all about thinking,and understanding,otherwise These are very simple concepts to make clear.

Sheikh Sudooq narrated that his father - may God be pleased with him - narrated that Sa'ed ibn Abdullah quoted on the authority of Muhammad ibn Isa, on the authority of Al-Hassan ibn Mahboob, on the authority of Amr ibn Shimr, on the authority of Jabir ibn Yazid that Aba Ja'far al-Baqir a.s was asked about the following words of God the Honorable the Exalted, 'Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? Qaf 50:15

The Imam a.s replied, "O Jabir! Its interpretation is that when the Honorable the Exalted God destroys this creation; this world and houses; the people of Heaven in Heaven; and the people of Hell in Hell, then the Honorable the Exalted God will create another world with a new set of monotheist people without any male or female distinction to worship Him. God will create another Earth for them to live in and will create another sky to cast a shadow upon their heads. Maybe you believe that the Honorable the Exalted God has not created any other world and has not created any other humans than you? Indeed, I swear by God that the Blessed the Sublimed God has created a million worlds and a million breeds of humans, and you are in the very end of these worlds and of the last breed of human beings.

Forgive my ignorance, but isnt life in heaven and hell eternal ? So Allah (swt) destroying people in there ?

No , my query was not about the Imam being born at a said time and being a proof at a later time......I had problems with understanding PEOPLE IN OTHER WORLDS DONT KNOW ABOUT THE OTHER WORLDS, SO HOW COME "THEY" WOULD KNOW ABOUT Imam -a' Sadiq , and whether The Holy Prophet (SAAW) and his Ahlul Bayt(AS) are Hujjah' upon all the said WORLDS and PEOPLE ? Would highly appreciate your info.

Obviously life in hell,and Heaven is eternal,but if u notice here Allah is referring to Day of Judgement,when everything will be perished,except His Exalted self,and Noor of Those He love.Even Angels will have to die.Are they not of Heavens?Secondly,if ppl are burning in hell rite now,they must be given some sort of life after death,as per Islamic beliefs there is next life.Obviously thats why,they could feel burning,so won't they have to perish on that day,so everyone can be invoked to life then.This Hadees is certainly not saying that Allah will destroy everything before creating another world,but it's referring to Day of judgement when everyone will be sent to death,and then invoke to life,and after getting done with old one He will create new world.I hope u got it,and for your second query,i have answered with simple one example of Angel,do u believe there r different Izraeels for different world,if He can work in all the worlds,then Allah's true servants can also manage affairs of worlds.Ofcourse when they are Mercy to Worlds,then have to play their roles.There is no harm if u want to question for your satisfaction.Regards.

We are the gates to safety. We save whoever is oppressed, has no way to flee and calls out for justice. We are the gates of peace. Whoever enters the, shall be saved and whoever disobeys us will be destroyed.

God starts with us. God destroys by us what He wishes to destroy. God establishes everything through us. God will fend off hard times from you due to us. God will descend rain due to us. You should not be deceived and turn away from God due to your pride.

“I am the slave of Allah and your servant who is at your service. I have come to you as a guest to beg for the perfection of my position with Allah and to keep my steps steady in following your way and to beg for the path which does not prevent those who follow it from receiving an assurance from you; an assurance which Allah has ordered you to give. Those who seek Allah, begin with you. Those who seek Allah begin with you. Those who seek Allah begin with you. Allah exposed the lies through you and He keeps the times of affliction away from us through you. Allah started His creation with you and He shall end it with you. And Allah cancels or confirms that which He pleases through you. Allah removes disgrace from us through you and He shall avenge the un-avenged blood of the believers through you. The trees in the earth grow through you and they become fruitful through you. And the skies rain and send down sustenance through you. Allah removes the anguish thorough you and He rains mercy through you. The earth which carries your bodies glorifies Allah through you and it through you that mountains are fixed firmly in the earth. The will of Allah with regard to His destines affairs descends to you and is issues from your houses. In the same way, true and detailed rulings, which govern the people, are issued from your houses.”

But Allama Majlisi in Mira-al-Uqool under this narrations gives and explanation. He says that there is possibility that Jins/Shayateen stay in these cities not visible to the human eye and finally Allah ÓÈÍÇäå æÊÚÇáì, his Prophet (saww) and the Imam's know best.

Angels of the Earth

Muhammad ibn Muslim said that he asked Imam as-Sadiq (‘a) regarding the legacy of knowledge and its extent. The Imam said in reply: “God has two cities; one in the east and another in the west. In those two cities, there is a group residing there that is aware neither of Iblis nor of his creation. I visit them from time to time; they ask us questions about things important to themselves and about how to supplicate and we teach them. They also ask about the time of the advent of Hadrat al-Qa’im (‘atfs). They worship God much and are striving hard in matters related to devotion.

“Each of the two cities has gates; between each of its doorposts there is a distance of one hundred farsangs (600 kilometers). They do much with respect to worship, praising (God), invocation, and struggle. Once you see them, you will consider your acts and traits in comparison with theirs insignificant.

When some of them perform the prayer, they stay in a state of prostration for one month. Their food is extolling God while their clothing is of leaves. Their faces are glowing with light. Once they meet any of us (Imams), they will encircle him, and take the dust from the soles of his feet and seek blessings through it.

During their prayers, their wailings and lamentations are more dreadful than the sound of thunder. A group of them—from the day they have been waiting for Hadrat al-Qa’im (‘atfs)—has never laid down their weapons and they have so far been in the same state. They are always praying to God to be shown the Master of the Affair (sahib al-amr).

“Each of them lives for a thousand years and the mark of humility, worship and proximity to God, the Honorable and Glorious, is conspicuous on their faces. When we do not visit them, they imagine that we are displeased with them, and they remember the times we are going to visit them, at which time they will be waiting for us and they will never be tired of working.

“They are reciting the Qur’an just as we taught them, and if a portion of the recitals we have taught to them is recited to the people, they will not accept it. Once we give the answer to a question they ask about the Qur’an, they will open their hearts (and minds) to learn the things to be heard. They pray to God for our long lives so that they do not lose us. They know that whatever they learn from us is a grace of God to them.

“At the time of the advent of Hadrat al-Qa’im, they will be in the company of the Imam (‘atfs) and they will go in advance of his other soldiers. They will pray to God to help His religion through them.

“Their assembly consists of both young and old. If a youngster would see an old one, he will sit down like a slave as a gesture of respect and he will not move from there without obtaining permission from the old person. They will be aware of the ideas of the Imam (‘atfs) through ways they know best. When the Imam gives them an order, they will always follow it unless the Imam himself would give them another assignment.

“If they wage war against the people of the east and west, they can exterminate everybody easily, and weapons can never harm them. They have swords and weapons made of iron but their alloys are different from common iron. If they would strike a mountain with the sword, it will be divided into two and removed from its location. The Imam (‘atfs) will send these soldiers into the wars of Hind, Daylam, Kurdistan, Rome, Berber, Fars, and Jabarsa and Jabalqa—the two cities in the east and west.

“They will not do anything against the followers of other religions except inviting them to Islam and calling them to monotheism, the prophethood of the Prophet and thewilayah of us, the Ahl al-Bayt, then they will release anyone who would respond and kill anyone who would not accept so much so that no one will be left in the east and west without having accepted the faith.”

It can be understood from this brief sketch of these soldiers that they are possibly the same angels who have remained on earth and are waiting for the uprising of Hadrat al-Qa’im (‘atfs).
