Salaam Fellow Users

I recently caught my sister eating a burger which I am 100% sure was not halal!

What should I do, what would you do in my place?

Remember my Somalian friend Hamdi who got beaten up by family because of misunderstanding a bean burger for a non-halal meat one! Well this one definately deserves a good beating! Shall I tell my Mum?


(Please note I have intentionally not included Ham Burger (pig meat burger)).

Do you really think she will go to hell over one haram burger?

Scold her and tell her not to do it again and explain to her why its haram. But don't beat her up (neither you or your mother).

You guys are making life too difficult. Relax....

maybe instead of doing that, u could try to find out why and explain to her the importance of eating halal and how the effect of non-halal food can stay with us

I make my own burgers at home. Maybe you can make a burger for your sister.

You need ground beef. Mix with salt and pepper and other spices. Kneed the beef like you would a dough. Make into round patties. Grill the patties.

put the cooked patties between the sandwich buns. Add in all you favorite condiments. Serve hot

so...yes, i voted for a few but i'd probably say fish out of those, although i also eat the Quorn burgers on occasion. With fish i like the tartar sauce and with Quorn i like relish, gherkin and a slice of cheese.

What are you talking about man!
Well okay... in the sense that its the common middle eastern misinterp for a lamb or beef burger (ie everywhere you go in Iran they call a lamb-burger a ham-burger)! But we all know that ham itself is a type of pig meat thus in the west we should know better.

As for the cheese... its optional.

Ham in itself is not a "type of pig meat", it is a cut of meat - and Ham can come from other animals, for example chicken or turkey ham.

A "hamburger" has nothing to do with pig meat - even in the West.

The only burger that can come close to resembling a "pig meat" burger is a pork burger.

Ham is just a slice of meat, and bacon is just strips.

I had a DOUBLE Big-Mac in Egypt (Mega Mac). That was different class.

McDonald's in Egypt is terrible to be honest - I found the meat very much dry.

Hardee's in Egypt, now they know how to make burgers...they are just so juicy. Damn.



Both of them do home-delivery over there which is class though, I had McD's on speed-dial when I was living there.

I once went to this Burger place where it had economy burger, burger supreme and burger de-luxe on its menu! I left opted for pizza instead.
