Salam Alaykom sisters .

Is there anyone who has done the hair relaxer ? The one that costs a lot and that stays for 9 months ?

would you be willing to PM me for some info ? I have done it and it did not work .. and i paid 150$  I could have donated this money for charity ..Astaghfirullah

Anyway , just PM me  as there are some brothers in this forum and it wouldn't be appropriate to discuss about hair and beauty  ..

jazakAllah Khair .. I'm looking forward to get your message

I don't see why anyone would object as long as no one describes specifics..

Why do you mean by hair relaxer? Are you referring to the keratin treatments or the plethora of stronger chemicals available?

Japanese hair relaxer with the keratin treatment .. the one that you can only do on natural hair ,that doesn't damage anything and that is supposed to stay for 9 months

I wouldn't say it doesn't damage anything. The stylist that I go to is a good friend of mine and she's very honest to me about all of these treatments. Unless you're don't the straight up keratin treatment, there's risk involved. My mother insisted that I try the keratin treatment but the stylist recommended otherwise saying that you should only get it done if your hair is unmanageable. I ended up getting it done and I saw no improvement as well. I ended up in an "i told you so situation." Anyway, just stick to using olive oil regularly albeit I'm giving you this advice and I haven't done so myself. InshaAllah, I'll get over my laziness and start taking care of my hair

W'salaam sister,

Am sorry to hear it didn't work for you. one of my close friend did this treatment on her hair. it's called Brazilian relaxer i think... it worked well on her mashaAllah. I also know couple of other girls who did and they liked it. the treatment you used, what is it called? maybe its a different one but they were told it will last for up to 7 to 9 months. hope that helps!

Salam

mine is the Japanese   treatment.. which is more powerful than the Brazilian one ..and it lasts more longer . .. i know .. it is supposed to last for 9 months .. but mine didn't work ..I followed all the indications (not to wash the hair for 4 days..etc) .. but it didn't turn out good at all ..it's all wavy and curly  .. can you ask your friends if they have any suggestions ?

I'm afraid of doing another treatment right over this one ...

EDIT : I just called the hair dresser and she said that she'll call me back to take another appointment and to do the hair treatment AGAIN

For certain chemicals, new growth will be very apparent. I think you should ask her how it will turn out. InshaAllah, this time it will turn out nicer :)

:/ is your hair that bad that you'd have to result to chemicals??

I like curly and wavy hair. I wish my hair would get curly! I think you should just stick to the natural stuff. The idea of using so many chemicals on my hair kinda freaks me out.

Lol plus it'd probably kill me. I have very sensitive skin.

nah, it's actually very soft . just a bit wavy .

I just don't want to spend my entire fajr time brushing my hair when i wake up for prayer ...by the time I finish brushing my hair ,it's already sunrise .. so I'd though that I make a treatment to keep it straight straight (it wouldn't need brushing)

So with all those chemicals you'd have supermodel hair every time you wake up?? xD lol no bed head! That sounds amazing but still not worth it.

Alhamdulillah For my hair. I think it perfect and I think you should be satisfied with what you have if it isn't bad. I can almost guarantee that you look beautiful with your wavy hair.

But of course, that's my opinion. you don't have to take that to heart at all.

Look.....don't put any chemicals in your hair....just use johnsons no more tangles spray and sleep with your hair up at night. Do you realize that if you put a straightener you will have roots later and the roots will be curly with the rest of your hair straight? That will make you look like bozo the clown looool.

But look at the positive side. You now know not to trust the saloon. They always promised stuff they cannot deliver. And they put strange chemical in their products.

That's why I always prefer do-it-yourself-at-home method.
