4 members of Shiite family killed in Baghdad home

By QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA, Associated Press –

BAGHDAD (AP) — Iraqi officials say assailants have killed a Shiite mother and her three children after breaking into their house in Baghdad.
Police say the attackers burst into the family's home early Wednesday in the Zafaraniyah neighborhood in southeastern Baghdad before slitting the throats of the mother and children. The father was not in the house during the attack.
They say the family had returned to their home in the Sunni-majority area of the neighborhood 10 months ago after fleeing the worst of the sectarian fighting that gripped Iraq in 2006 and 2007.
Morgue officials confirmed the deaths.
All officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information.

Come on Mufeed, you know which side suffered more in the sectarian war, lets not be subjective about it.

Approximately 15,000 Sunni Iraqis were killed between 2006 and 2008 by armed gangs and death squads, thousands of Sunni families were chased out of their homes, there is not a single thread on ShiaChat about that.

99.9% of them were kicked out of homes that didn't even belong to them to begin with. I know because Saddam tried to have several male members of my own family executed, forcing every one to flee the country and leaving all of our belongings, including several homes who were then taken over by sunni-arab baathis, and also imported pan arab-sunnis such as your self (imported from Palestine, and given free homes that were stolen from people). Guess what over 20 years later saddam falls, many of us go back to Iraq and find these people living in our homes. Thousands and thousands of us. So you know what- what goes around comes around. Learn to live with it.

You must be living in some kind of fantasy world to think that any sunni community any where has suffered the way shias have/and still do.

You are not even muslim - you are a saddam supporter, your religion is pan arabism, why do you even care about Shia-Sunni issues.

May Allah put you with Saddam in the next life.

You are a Fayli Kurd. Most of your ppl (in Khanaqin, Diyala, etc) were expelled in 1979. When they returned after 2003, the Kurdish Regional Authority refused to give them back their homes and infact they even refused to recognize Faylis as Kurds. What do you have to say about that ?

You are doing Takfir.

The question of Saddam is unfailry paired with Sunnis. Probably more Shias collaborated with saddam than Sunnis. What about the Shia-majority Iraqi Army and Police who were obedient to saddam till 2003 ? Why pretend only Sunnis supported Saddam, whereas in reality if all Shias decided to cease cooperating with him he couldn't have survived another day.

Actually we all lived in Kadhimiya, so again your point is flawed, also you are trying to change the subject over to the kurdish authorities.

The reality is as I had stated it, you and your scum bag associates stole houses of innocent people, and lived off blood money from Saddam - if you want to live with that thats fine, you will face hell fire on the day of judgment.

Shias were members of the baath party but to say that shias were a significant portion of Saddams intelligence agencies or officers in his army or positions of any significance is a fallacy.

Your comment about the army is laughable, of course its going to be majority shia -Iraq is a majority shia country, and every able bodied man was forced to serve in the military. And as for police - they were normal every day police, and people needed work.

Any ways, like I said I pray Allah grants you the ability to be with your hero saddam on the day of judgment

The fact is that without the cooperation from a large section of the Shia, the Baath could not have ruled for 40 years. The Baath was not toppled by a popular revolt or resistance ( that was a huge flop in 1991), it fell because of a foreign occupation. If the majority of Shias in the Army had wanted to revolt they could have toppled Saddam.
