Assalam Alaykum,

Brothers, I have a certain problem I need to sort out. I'm a revert and my family is still Sunni. My mom doesn't have a clue about najasat and how to make clothes tahir. So either mine or my brothers clothes go together with the tahir ones and once the washing is done, they land up with hangars on the clothesline. Now, obviously there isn't a method followed (washing thrice with under-kurr water), so all the clothes, the hangars and the clothesline get najis.

I told my mom to wash the najis clothes thrice, but she doesn't want to understand one bit. She thinks I'm wrong (Shias are always wrong!) simply because I became a Shia, so whatever I say is simply nonsense to her.

I have to wash all my clothes, the hangars and the clothesline again...and it is tiring to say the least. I'm a working man and all the exercise I do is simply too much to do on a daily basis. I'm frustrated now,  REALLY.

What should I be doing in this situation? I need responses/solutions that are convincing yet practical. Are there ahadith in the Sunni madhab that najasat can only be made tahir if it is washed thrice or once (with under-kurr or kurr water)?

Does she wash your clothes in a washing machine?

No brother, she puts all the clothes in a tub and a maid washes them later. I even suggested getting a washing machine but she doesn't approve and says it 'wastes' too much water and the clothes do not get scrubbed properly

I'm losing my patience and my sanity.

^ I can purchase one but she doesn't want it in the house.

I was thinking if there are hadith in the Sunni books about making things tahir. Can anybody post them please if available?
