at work here when we get that problem, reinstalling the drivers usually solves this...
If the router you are using is old, you may need to reinstall the drivers each time u restart you computer. That's an issue we had until we got a new router.....something to do with the old router's compatibility with Windows 7 or something...

I bought a new Windows 8 computer. There is no option to enter BIOS upon boot. Do you know a way around this?
I think I read somewhere that since Windows 8 boots up very fast, there isn't enough time to choose the option before botting and, so, Microsoft has included it as one of the settings so check your PC settings to see if there is an option for that.

Yes, you are correct. Thanks. However, this doesn't help me a whole bunch. "Secure boot" blocks my Live USB. Does anyone know how to get around this Windows 8 BS crap? All I want to do is run my live USB for a second.

can i use usb as operating system and having no os in my computer?
and
what is the difference between dvd+r and dvd-r?
Live usb: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_USB
Using an os on a usb key has benefits and limitations. It depends on your usage.
It's two different standard or families. Old devices can only use - disks or +disk, and recent one can use both.

well it's recommended to use Dvd+ for data ad DVD- for video files, and i tried to figure out the reasons..
Dvd- (video files) :
- most DVD players are compatible with this standard
Dvd+ (data):
- recent specifications
- better performance
- more functionalities
- after the first burning you can still add datas on it till the disk is full
In summary, it's recommended to use them for the purpose i mentionned, but it's not compulsory.

I think your file is corrupted. Download from another servor or website, and tell us if the problem remain.
I just noticed your post, thanks. I was downloading it from the picasa website itself though...
Anyway, I simply copied the setup file from a cousin of mine, now I have it working fine.

I have computer problem caused by hacked Tuneup Utilities 2012 (yeah I know). I installed it today and ran maintenence, and started to play game. In an hour or so, the game freezed, and I had no choice but to force-reboot computer. While booting, it stuck at boot logo for 2-3 minutes, that stuck again at middle of windows logo for another 5 minutes. Also, red light indicator on my machine is on all the time (which shows processor activity), while normally it blinks sometimes. I know for a fact, this problem is caused by this program, 'cause this is the second time I have the same problem, but unfortunately I realized it just now. I fixed it first time by formating disc and reinstalling windows over 10 times and walking through bios and changing settings, It sort of fixed itself to be honnest.
Now, It really annoys me and I'm afraid it could lead to hardware damage if not fixed. What can I do to fix it?
I'm running win7 64-bit ultimate.
Thx for your help in foward

I need help with Audacity again. It has somehow stopped recording any audio. Here's a pic:
Can somebody tell me what is wrong with it and how to fix it? I haven't done any changes to the system, the driver is fine too. I've tried all permutations, combinations with Audacity but I can't seem to get it to work. Please help to sort this out.
Thanks.
