Well??

It's only a phone.

It's not going to eat you.

You're not going to get sucked into it.

A monster isn't going to climb out of it and kill you.

Why do men have such issues with phones?

Salam

:)

Edit:  And please don't give me the reply of 'Oh, it's not the phone we have a problem with, it's the person we have to speak to', because it's far too predictable.

Where are you getting this impression from may I ask?

it's probably because they're lacking in confidence, or even feel insecure when it comes to talking to confident women.

it actually depends entirely on the nature of the relationship. what are you doing calling said 'men'? are they related? have your parents consented to this? they could be pious basijis who would rather speak to you face to face. or they could be complete idiots proud to be collecting girls numbers.

you need to be more specific. you can't generlize men's behaviour like that.

looks like you had been waiting like a good little girl on the phone the whole day and night? but it never rang? :(:(

People call and talk to whom they would like too. The problem in society is, if two are interested in each other, they seem to play the waiting game of when to call. Strange and silly rules. However if one were honest and called right away it would be deemed as desperate.

Oh come on...give me a break.  I have to get married one day and part of the process is to speak to him on the phone before he'll even agree to a meeting and speak to me 'face to face'.  And yes, my parent's are aware.

He doesn't come across as an idiot, but you never know.  To be honest, I don't know how to tell.  Any tips on how to detect an idiot?  :donno:

What are you on about? Why would we be scared of phones?

I have a better question..

Why are feminists afraid of the kitchen? After all, it's where you belong ;)

As much as I didn't want to like that comment, it did make me laugh.  And there should be a phone in the kitchen, for her to be able to remind him to not forget to bring the tomoatoes, on his way home from work...

I don't have to give you a break if you we more specific in your opening post, but anyway... bottom line is, he needs to have sincerety in his faith and piety (they come hand in hand). God fearing should be your #1 character trait. idiots are the ones that lack this characteristic.

I hate phones too, unless the person on the end of it is someone I know.

I did work experience at a law firm once, I didn't know anything about law but needed experience. On my first day, I hate to make a phonecall to The Law Society and ask them some questions that my boss gave to me. It was so hard because even though I had the questions in front of me, I didn't know what they meant. When I'm on the phone to a stranger, I NEED to know what we are talking about and have knowledge of it. I can't talk about things like mortgage and bills, because I don't know anything about them.

in many ways, home phones are worse, because they are bigger and made of a plastic that heats up alot more than mobiles, so you burn your ear and your hand

but then, the mobiles give you brain cancer
